ASTRAL PLANES INFORMATION
INTRODUCTION
First and foremost, the Spiritual, or Astral, Planes of Abstract Reality are meant to be a building block and tool for you to use in your own plots. These are in no way required nor are they a concrete system on this site.
As a general accepted 'lore', there are four celestial spheres in this universe. This can be acknowledged in character, or you may choose to ignore or alter your or your characters' perceptions of it.
PLANE 1 - The Physical Realm
The World of the Living. All three-dimensional worlds that we can touch, see, hear, smell, and taste are all in the first astral plane or celestial sphere. This includes the main 'world' where most official groups of Abstract Reality are located, plus any other worlds such as earth, or user-created or fandom ones.
PLANE 2 - The Afterlife
The Land of the Dead. Anything that dies in a Physical Realm that has a soul or spirit passes on directly here. Places in the Afterlife can include all sorts of heavens and hells, fandom or member-created, and most of them very unique from each other. Any place like StarClan, the Dark Forest, the Soul Society, Hueco Mundo, the Underworld, Hades, Paradise... all similar places exist in the second dimension, or plane.
PLANE 3 - The Spiritual World
Anything that was born or existed as a spirit typically was born in the third celestial plane. They have little direct influence on the physical realm, the first plane, and may or may not even be aware of its existence. Most gods, angels, cherubs, demons, phantoms, and other unique spirits who have never truly 'lived' in the world of the living belong here. Nobody that passes on from the first plane ever really makes it here, as the residents of the Spiritual World are neither dead nor alive. They are a mystery to most, of the planes below them, and any user-made or fandom groups may exist here. Necropolis, for example, or the Far Shore, the Abyss, etc.
PLANE 4 - The Void
The Mystery of all planes and celestial spheres is undoubtedly the fourth. If there ever was a reason why four is considered an unlucky number, here lies the answer. It is neither heaven, nor hell, but simply an abyss of nothing. Or is it? Only the truest of mysteries might come forth from this idea, or concept, that exists outside of time and space. None may enter. Nothing exists.
