Necropolis. Belial had heard stories about it, of course. Not many, but they existed. It had taken a long time to sort that tale from the truth, and thrice as long to actually find a rough location. Countless false leads, thousands of pulling and giving out favors, hundreds of coins spend on paying off later, here he was. Belial kept walking towards the structures in the distance, his breath steaming in the air. He was cold--always was, but you get used to it. He was only 16, but reversed children grew up fast, especially him, with the fact he was actually singled out by the master. The tattoo on his shoulder blade said so. He walked quicker. At last--a past where he might belong.

The feeling and sound of movement was quick to attract the young half-Daemoness. She had been resting in a strange, mutated felid form up on a dark, obsidian tree whose texture reminded her of crystal or obsidian. It was surprisingly comfortable, however, yet as the teen from below quickened his pace, Abeo could not help but be curious. Leaping from the tree, the Daemon shifted from her smaller form into that of a semi-human, with long, dark, thick hair reaching her knees, small crystal-like horns, fangs, and claws. She was short- barely five feet in height. Nevertheless, she carried herself well, and gave off a proud and confident air.
"Who might you be, kid?" Abeo asked from behind, standing at the base of the tree for a few moments before walking towards the odd teen.

Short? That made the two of them. Bel stood at hardly 5'2, only a little taller that the half-daemon. He didn't seem perturbed at her appearance, only smiled at her. "I'm Belial. And you?" he greeted, hoping he didn't accidently violate some ancient code of conduct. It would be really unfortunate, three years of his life wasted in only a few minutes.

Such a simple answer. Abeo found something amusing about it, seeing as most of the folks around Necropolis tended to not be so casual. In a way, she appreciated the simplicity, and on another hand, found it ever so slightly irritating. Could she make up her mind? She preferred to go with the more positive observation. "The name is Abeo," the half-Daemon replied with a grin, continuing to walk closer. "And if you don't mind my asking... what might you be?" Humans did not generally tread the grounds of Necropolis. At the very least, not average humans. Typically the land was one of the third astral plane, where neither the dead nor the living roamed.

Abeo. Bel committed the name to memory. "I'm a reverse-human. We're like humans but..." He paused, uncertain. "...different," he finished lamely. Sue him; he'd only been on the 'regular' plane a few times, and each visit was short. He didn't have much first-hand experience with them.

"I've never heard of a Reverse-Human before..." Abeo mused, crossing her arms in a relaxed manner. "So, a 'reverse human'... are you opposite of a human, in some regard? What is the opposite of a human?"

Hm. This was going to be difficult. "Well," Bel began carefully. "We can't be possessed, and we can travel between worlds." He paused, trying to remember the other differences. "We are more tuned in to the supernatural, and some of us have powers. Although both we and humans have about the same lifespan." There were definitely more than that, but Bel had a bad memory. Hopefully that would suffice.

"So... you aren't immortal, then?" the half-Daemon asked, now even more intrigued. "What else distinguishes you from any other sort of esper?" she asked, tilting her head. Her arms remained crossed, and her red eyes kept focused on the boy, unblinking and curious.

"I have the power exorcise lesser powerful demons," Belial offered almost immediently. Maybe it wasn't the best answer, but it was definitely not someone with ESP could do. It wasn't always successful, more like a seventy-ish percent chance. Plus, it often drained him. The power was constantly growing, though.

"Exorcising demons? Cute," Abeo said. Demons were often weak beings- or at least the ones she had encountered. Being part Daemon, she had consumed many, and likely was becoming more demonic in nature. That sucked- it meant that she would be forced to balance by absorbing some angels and other holy beings, and those were often a pain to deal with.

Belial shrugged. "Depends on who you ask," he said, unruffled. On one of his few visits to the physical world, he'd exorcised a demon that was about to kill someone, and the other person...well, they were equally scared of both the newly-exorcised demon and him. "It's from a matter of perspective. To a human, demons are great. To an angel, demons are merely bugs to be squashed."

"To what I am, angels, demons, and humans are all prey," Abeo said with a smug grin, followed by a casual shrug. Daemons prided themselves on consuming the souls of others to gain more power. Though she did not have the complete nature of a Daemon, she had enough to identify as one, or at least half of one.

A glimmer of a smile crossed Bel's face. "And for you, they're all simply food to be hunted," he concluded. He didn't know what Abeo was, but she clearly was something powerful. If she wished to share that information, then he would gladly accept it.

"Correct," Abeo said with a smug smile and proud glimmer in her eyes. The feeling of acknowledgement was great, always. Nevertheless, the Half-Daemon still had more questions about the interesting reverse human. It was tempting to underestimate him, and while that was never a good idea, Abeo always had the flaw of a tendency to. "So, what does bring you here to Necropolis? I've never seen you around~"

Ah, at last. "I wish to join Necropolis's ranks," Bel replied, red eyes glimmering. Hopefully, this was someone who knew the protocol for joining, or knew where someone was who did.
