"Sure, sure, nothing wrong with that. But I'm sure our techniques really can help you with a whole host of matters." While I was perfectly willing to help her just out of the joy that it was to teach someone who could truly benefit from the knowledge and the fact that she was cute, she was also able to talk a great deal about this little universe they'd found themselves in. And while Kishar would be more interested in the technology of this place, something I was moderately interested in as well, I was far more interested in the social structures and bureaucracies of this world, and how best to be able to shape it into something that would get us access to what we needed as we continued our unfortunate stay in this world, sequestered from our home. It would be easy to enter myself in someone else's faith and gain a prominent position, after all, that is something Sidereals often did in mortal and even Exalted organizations to help advance the preservation of Fate.
I raise an eyebrow at Kishar's assertion regarding socialization, something utterly necessary when working with different people, and was about to respond, before I just sigh. I didn't want to start a fight. I really didn't. It didn't get anywhere, they'd already talked about this, I'll just let it go. That'd be easier. "I suppose that must be it, though it really does help when encountering people you don't have a relationship with already. It can help get them much more engaged." As she thanks me, I shrug. "It's no big deal. I could use a bit of practice swinging a sword again anyway, it has been a rather long time since I bothered."
At that moment, though, I hear a discordant noise. The sound of her attempting a sort of magic, a sound that cried a note similar to that of other techniques to guage one's power. Oh dear. She must be getting quite the sight, considering if she had seen an individual on our level of power, it was almost certainly a harrowing experience. Between the I stole a thought from her, and the wide-eyed expression she wore it confirms my suspicions, even before Kishar collaborates them. This could be bad. I was worried, which made her near-immediate recovery all the better. She really was tough. A bit too business-minded for my taste, but then, she had met Kishar first, so I supposed it couldn't be helped. "Math, huh? Sounds like fun. Are you starting her on motonic formulae already?"

I was more than a bit surprised at the quickness of her recovery, and though I was glad that she had recovered so quickly, I couldn't help but note the lingering effects of stress on her body. They were coming down, yes, but I could tell she was not entirely comfortable. That was understandable however, after all, she had finally realized the full scope of what exactly she had been dealing with. What she had said also made me raise a bit of an eyebrow, after all, I hadn't planned on going straight into the math right away. After all, it was something that needed to come after a bit of practical experience at sensing the flows of energy and having an idea of what you were putting the math to at least in my opinion. I guessed that I could abridge the demonstrations a bit given what she had just witnessed, though I had to insist on at least a bit of instruction first. Basic principles had to be followed and the like, otherwise the knowledge just wouldn't stick. "Well, I hadn't planned on going straight into motonic formulae, I usually find that giving them experience with witnessing and observing the flows of the magic first so that they have an idea of what the math represents is the better idea. It provides a solid foundation for them to build off of," I said giving it a bit more thought before breaking away from the arm around me as I paced towards the elevator and hit the button.
"I suppose that giving you a bit of a primer on the way the math works at least as a first step might work fine if you have an affinity for it, so if you would prefer that I can do that instead," I said, waiting a bit for the elevator to make it's way from the top floor where I had left it before. "Either way, we should probably all head up to my suite to do it. I have a lot more resources there and more ready access to the library from there after all, as well as the refreshments and a number of devices to make it much easier to demonstrate the principles at hand," I said just as the elevator reached this floor and opened up. It was a lavishly designed device made of pure orichalcum that moved via motonic impulse rather than something like a wire or anything crude like that. It came with inertia dampening stabilizers that would make the ride so much smoother and allow it to reach speeds that would normally be quite uncomfortable for a mortal when the elevator came to a halt and even while it was in motion. With these, it seemed like they were not moving at all, the only thing indicating it would be the changing of numbers and the sights from outside transmitted onto the walls of the elevator, rendering the golden walls as if they were transparent windows to the outside.
I stepped inside the spacious elevator and gestured for everyone to step inside. Shinzo and I could teleport around at will essentially, but it would be rude to do so when our guest had to find her way throughout this place on her own if we were to do that. "Step aboard, it should be an interesting experience for you, Nessie," I said, giving her a smile as I waited for everyone to board. Once they did, the elevator would make its extremely fast ascent to the top of the mile high tower, making it in less than twenty seconds, which I had determined was the ideal balance of convenience and sightseeing from the tower. I could have made it a great deal faster or indeed just made it possible to teleport from floor to floor, but I figured since I could do that anyway without it, it would serve as a good way to impress people who couldn't.
When the elevator ride was over, I stepped out into my suite, which was far more akin to what one might consider a multi-floor penthouse than anything like that. The floors were all made of completely see through adamant, which could withstand strikes from all but the strongest of foes but yet looked as light and delicate as glass. The lower floor was a small magitech facility that I had put together from my own collection and included the wyld portal that glowed with the rainbow energies of Pure Chaos, and was filled with a number of different projects and plans. The middle floor was a sorcerous facility that had all sorts of books and arcane instruments both for necromancy and sorcery strewn around, and the top floor was a combination of lounge and bedroom, with the only area really walled off and not able to be seen from below being the inner sanctum that served as my bedroom itself. Everything was furnished in such a way that would seem extremely lavish to a mortal or even a terrestrial, but given how much wealth I had I could have easily made everything even more lavish, but it would have ruined its functionality and that was not something I liked to do. All the floors were connected by a gently rotating spiral staircase in the middle, made out of moonsilver. I gestured for them to follow me and with every step on it, the stair would ripple as the moonsilver reacted to their footsteps.
Reaching the top, I sat down on a couch and called up a whiteboard from nothingness, reality warping and crackling around my gauntlet before it phased into being. "So then, which would you prefer? A demonstration of Sorcery or some lessons in the basic notation of the math I use to devise it? Either or is fine with me."

Kenessa I didn't register Kishar's words entirely as I stepped into the elevator. The surroundings were pretty, but not novel. Towers, I'd been there. But, being here, in the same closed quarters as these monsters, and not immediately jetting? That was strange, even for me.
Still, I had enough sense to understand that Kishar thought I was an idiot. That was grating me more and more. The level of power I'd felt only heightened that annoyance; it was arrogance to me, pure and simple.
I couldn't voice that entirely, though. She was helping. Shinzo seemed nice enough. They were benevolent, if conceited. Still, that latter portion guided my next words upon stepping into the chamber.
"Written text. Papers. Give me those," I said to her. "I'll do my observations, and I'll figure it out."
With that said, I reached into my bag and pulled out that oh so special 'liquid virtue'. I sat the container of vials on a table next to me. "This is for you," I said to Kishar. Planeswalking human True Neutral | 31 | Female Kishar shinzo

I step inside the elevator along with the two women I had the pleasure of hanging around with, taking the opportunity to guage Kenessa's recovery. She obviouisly wasn't at 100 percent, but I didn't expect that for her. After getting the shock to her system that she had taken, it was only natural for her to need a bit of time to fully recover. Still, she was a master at hiding it and persevering. She had clearly been through quite a bit. Enough to make me curious and want to hear more.
As we make the trip, I couldn't help but wonder why she bothered and didn't just set up teleportation nexuses. Windows would clearly allow for sightseeing, and really, it just seemed to be a novelty to amaze people who didn't have access to basic technology. Still, she was the one that made everything here, so I could hardly criticize it. Now, learn about magitech technology so I could offer my own opinions? That was different. Really, it just seemed odd when you had utter control of everything to leave inconveniences like this.
As we step into the workshop, I find a place to get comfortable, sitting down and getting ready for Kishar's lecture. It was unfortunate, but I'd sit through it. When Kenessa asks for written papers, I'm at first relieved, as it seems that I won't need to wait through it. Then the obvious problems come into play. "Erm. Nessie, I hope I'm not just being contradictory here...but can you read Old Realm? If you have some magic with languages and scripts, that'd be one thing, but, well, I'd imagine letting it be translated adequately..." I blink. "Kishar, you should program Enki II with the ability to make that sort of thing happen. I would imagine you have something similar for the Directional languages and Riverspeak already, it shouldn't be hard to add in another language." If she didn't, then, I would have a pointed way to question just how it was supposed to replace I Am.

With a snap of my fingers the material she offered would be carried by a bit of shaped wind and make its way to the transport system so that it can be shunted into the lab for further research. I wished she would have brought something else, but I wouldn't be too picky I supposed. I could still do things with this for now. As to her rather...blunt demand I raised an eyebrow and said, "While I am rather lenient on these things for someone of my station, I must say that seemed a bit of a rude way to ask for something when you are in a person's home." I hoped that would serve as a bit of a warning that she should shape up at least a little bit, I was fine without total respect, admiration, and fawning that many of my counterparts would have probably expected from a mortal, but I would at least prefer for her to attempt to be a bit polite at the very least. She was a guest in our home, after all, so such things were to be expected even if I wasn't going to expect full formalities like some might. The spirit of it mattered more to me I supposed, at least trying showed that one was worthy to learn and knew their place in the student teacher dynamic. Perhaps it was just something I had picked up from my Sifu so long ago, but I did expect at least some of that.
"Of course I have, Shizno. I have even programmed it to know this language already, after all, I had been giving commands to it in it earlier. However, the main issue is that even if they were translated this language just is not sufficient to carry across all the finer details that are conveyed in the documents," I said, sighing and shaking my head a bit, "I was planning on trying to compensate for that with a bit of magic and explaining the concepts in a different way, but I suppose it can't hurt to try it." I sighed and turned my attention to Enki before saying, "Retrieve and translate copies of The White Treatise, as well as The Silurian Primer and An Introduction to Devonian Calculus." I figured that those books would be enough to either prove that she needed to either learn the language first or let me teach her, instead of trying to figure out things for herself. After all, it would be rather hard for her to do it the way that she was intending to do. Even if she was rather intelligent, she was still a mortal and thus had limitations on just how intelligent and how much she could comprehend about the subject matter at hand.
"If you would like, I could always just rather quickly teach you Old Realm with that Sorcery that I had mentioned before, it will only take an hour to do and it should make it a lot easier than working off translations that require a bit of awkward translation and memorization of foreign loan words to describe particular phenomena," I said, sighing and pulling out one of the decanters of Celestial Wine that was around and taking a drink of it, the rejuvenatory and restorative powers providing a nice rush as I sipped at it. "Ah, this is truly the good stuff, would you like some as well, Shinzo? I figure you would fancy a bit of alcohol right now as well," I said, giving him a smile as I offered him a glass and the decanter.

Kenessa I almost recoiled at the sound of Kishar's admonishment. It was primarily out of primal fear. After all, I was standing in their Seat; one snap and I was a goner.
Come on, Ness, suck in your pride. Gods tend to be dicks, yeah, but I needed to get the hell over it. I wasn't in direct trouble. Not yet.
So, my next words were more measured. Let's try to save some face. "Sorry. Kinda excited to get started... Kishar," I made sure to use her name, this time. "Excuse the, uh, brash mortal assery."
Still, when Shinzo spoke of 'Old Realm', I'd assumed that was their language, I thought about telling them that I would be perfectly able to read it with just another application of my planeswalking power. It was one of those little perks of being transdimensional in nature; tongue was a universal.
But, I sensed that they were looking for a lamb. That was, while thoroughly humiliating, something I couldn't exactly escape. So, I simply sat down. "Lay it on me," was my only response to Kishar wanted to do some magical implanting of knowledge.
In my head, I was quick to apply one of the only mystical things I knew I could do - locking my thoughts away from prying psychic forces. No power was going to start ripping through me again. No sir.

I roll my eyes at the exchange between the two of them, finding the rampant miscommunications totally absurd. As an observer of some small degree of social awareness, it was clear that there was a great deal here. "Please, don't cringe that way, Nessie. It really doesn't suit you." "Brash mortal assery my foot!" I laugh. "I can tell when someone is being kissed up to, and I assure you, it's very much unnecessary. An apology would be more than sufficient, and I don't think anyone's asking for any more than basic politeness." So as not to be too contradictory to her, I tilt my head. "I'd prefer if you were honest when I ask, have we been any less than that to you? I don't mean to put you in a bind, but rather to make sure we are adhering to the standard that we want to be the baseline for mutual benefit and friendship. I do think we're all friends here...or at least, I would hope to be."
Nodding along with what Kishar told me, I smile. "Good. It's worth a try in any case. Giving her the opportunity to read the translated version would help see whether or not they function properly translated into languages outside of Creation. If it can, it could certainly help in situations like this later on down the line." I take the wine offered to me, pouring out a glass, then after setting it down I pull another glass out of my starmetal amulet and fill one up for our guest. "Here. Have some. It should help with those nerves you're working through~"
When Nessie decides she's fine with the use of sorcery to directly imbue the knowledge, however, I tilt my head, slightly concerned. "Oh? You didn't seem to want that just a bit ago. It's a bit more convenient, of course, but some people prefer the process of learning things directly." I wasn't going to try and hold her to her old position, but at the same time I didn't want her to feel like she was getting browbeaten into anything. A gift given in poor circumstances could easily be seen as a burden, after all. Still, if she really was fine with it, I shrug. "Well, if you're ready, then go for it."

I sighed a bit when I saw that she rather obviously took what I said to mean quite a bit more than it did, probably as a result of having measured our power and the power of this place. However, before I had a chance to address it Shinzo did so in a much more eloquent manner than I ever could, which was definitely for the best. "As Shinzo has said, I would prefer if you were honest as well. I simply would prefer a bit of politeness, exactly as he had said as well." I figured it was best to just put it out there that he was correct and leave it at that, lest my relative inexperience at socialization compared to him fuck up whatever he was trying to do. I would rather not be a burden, so I sat back and let him do the talking. After all, he was doing much the same in my areas of expertise so I figured I might as well give him the same courtesy. It wasn't as if he was someone like Salina who decided to intrude where he did not belong and change things, he was simply doing what he did best and I would do my best to let him do it and only interject when it was absolutely necessary so that I did not end up messing up his plans.
I did however raise an eyebrow at Shinzo when he offered her a glass of Celestial Wine and said, "Are you sure such a thing is wise? She is a mortal after all, and she has not become accustomed to the drinks of our land. I would imagine it would be quite powerful and distract her from learning should she decide to try to do it manually." I thought for a second about what he said and replied, "I suppose that is quite a good thing to know, even if it is rather easy to give someone the knowledge of Old Realm with a bit of Sorcery or some time in a classroom enhanced by charms." Her change of heart was a bit odd, though I wouldn't really question it too much. I figured arranging a second set of those in old realm as well would be fine anyway and as such I turned my attention to Enki and said, "Also bring up a copy of each in the original Old Realm. Preferably in typeface rather than handwritten, it's easier for someone new to the language to read after all." The machine voice responded quickly in the affirmative before going back to it's business. The non-translated ones arrived first, appearing in the library chute in the nearby wall, which I then retrieved with a lazy wave of my hand, bringing them over on a gust of wind and setting the rather thick books on the table.
"Are you sure you want to do that? I'm not particularly picky either way, but as you seem tense to let me near your mind going by the magic you just used to shield your inner thoughts, I figured I would give you a chance to back out and do things this way," I said, giving her a smile and letting her choose for herself. I didn't really mind either way after all. It might even be interesting to see how much she could glean from the translated texts. Though so was seeing how she would react to the Sorcery and the associated memories from Creation as well. In short, I really didn't care either way.

Kenessa So, now they were letting me choose. Good.
Still, smart money was on just letting Kishar have her fun. I knew those eyes from anywhere; extraplanar or not, a scientist is a scientist, and I was a tasty-looking guinea pig.
"I'm cool with you trying," I responded. "So long as you promise to keep away from the wall."
That was my way of consenting to it. I nodded to Kishar, then looked at the drink for a moment, then took a sip. Nothing. It was just wine for me, here. Another upside to planeswalking. "Damn, that's good stuff," the taste was still heavenly, and I took another drink.
"This isn't gonna trap me here, is it?" I asked Shinzo with a smirk. "Some sort of Hades kind of deal?" Planeswalking human True Neutral | 31 | Female Kishar shinzo

I shrugged at what she said, I had no problem with it, that had nothing to do with the Sorcery I was going to invoke anyway and I might as well let her know it. "The transfer only goes one way, really. From the Caster to the Receiver, and never the other way around. So yes, I will stay away from the wall since it's irrelevant," I added, finishing my wine before retrieving a couple of cushions and setting them on the floor close to each other.I sat down crosslegged at one of them and patted the one across from me to prompt her to do the same. As I was waiting for her to do so, I commented, "Well, I am unsure what you mean by a Hades, but no, the wine is just rather good wine that is potent enough to cure pretty much any disease and heal you rather fully. It just tends to be a bit of an overwhelming experience for mortals. Nice to see that you were decently enough prepared that it didn't do anything to you." I would have to study what else she could take later on, I was rather curious about her physiology now that I saw her deal with Celestial Wine quite easily despite being what seemed to be a mostly normal mortal. Perhaps she had some powers that I hadn't realize, connected to whatever she had done earlier to sense our powers that had left her spooked like that. Questions for later.
After she sat down, I would take her hands in mine and laced my fingers between hers so that the bodily contact could be sustained. "The bodily contact is necessary for the Sorcery to work, please bear with me," I said, giving her a bit of a smile to encourage her before focusing in on casting the Sorcery at hand. I channeled the spell through my Phylactery, causing the device which was on my left wrist to whir and pulse with power, the miniature wyld coninuum within pulsing with power as it supplied a replacement for the willpower that would normally be necessary. I forced the rather large amount of essence necessary for the spell into the phylactery, starting the shaping process for the spell. Streamers of deep blue essence coruscated around us as reality buckled and bent in the space around us. I was unsure if she was aware of such things, but it did not matter. Before the spell finished shaping I did give her a suggestion, "I recommend closing your eyes, you wont be able to when the spell starts and going that long without blinking is unhealthy." With that, I would close my own eyes and shortly after the spell went off.
From an outsiders point of view, we would be sitting here for an hour without moving, with points of light moving from my body to his, forming halos around either of our heads from which they flowed and were received. To me, the time passed quickly and without event as I did not consciously experience the time involved, my mind too busy unconsciously sending the information. However, to Nessie she would receive a stream of images, sounds, and symbols related to each and every concept expressed by Old Realm. And unlike a normal language that was limited somewhat in it's scope, Old Realm had a word for every single thing known to Creation. Images of places and things she had never seen before would be downloaded into her mind along with the word that represented them, tying experience to sounds and images so that she could well and truly comprehend the language that I was imparting upon her. What she retained of the images and such beyond the way to use the language itself was rather dependent on the strength of her mind, but the job would be done. She would be able to read and comprehend Old Realm in it's entirety by the time the ritual was over.
When the ritual finished, I would open my eyes first and stretch, leaning over to the decanter of Celestial Wine that would inevitably be there, after all, it would be replaced if it ran out, and poured myself a drink before calling out to Nessie in Old Realm, "So then, how did you enjoy the experience? I assume the flashes of Creation were a rather nice bonus, no? After all, one has to know what a word refers to in it's entirety to truly understand it."

She was suspicious of us. Good. It was a good thing to hold a bit of healthy skepticism. I just hoped that it would fade soon enough once we realized we really were there just to help and learn, at least as far as she was concerned. Regardless of how it ended up turning out, I kept my cool, sipping the Celestial wine and waiting for her to sort herself out. This talk of walls and borders just made it clear exactly how much she distrusted us, which isn't exactly the best feeling in the world for someone on the receiving end of the distrust, if only by proxy from my association with Kishar.
Granted, as someone who knows Kishar, I'd be a fair bit nervous when it came to situations where they'd be messing with my mind. But this wasn't one of those situations, it was simply an act of giving, not of surgery, and as Kishar explained it, I nodded. "It's just a technique to help inform people of information. The spell wasn't tailored to anything nefarious as far as I know." I grin. "Though, if she informs you about anything particularly strange and untowards for the context, do let me know. Juicy gossip is always fun~"
When the ritual began, I stretched back on the couch with my wine for a bit, until I got bored. Occassionally, I swiped bits of the information as it flowed into Nessie's mind, keeping myself abreast of the situation, but I didn't do it too much lest I interfere with the transfer of information. Eventually, I took the time to refresh my knowledge of Even Blade. Drawing the starmetal daiklave that usually simply was used to fill a sheath to protect my body from mundane damage, I let the knowledge of it's katas and forms come back to me. It was important that I refresh it, because, after all, mortals and Terrestrials could only learn one of it's five variations. I could automatically dismiss the one developed to suit the Wood Dragon, grappling was likely not her favored style. Of the other three, though...it was hard to tell which would fit her sword until I saw her fight with my own eyes. All four other styles of the blade were all relevant as well...it was hard to pick, so I just went through all of them. The forceful ending of Earth. The flowing grace of Water. The whispering touch of wind. The firey passion of fire. The stolid strength of earth. How they all interacted with the blade.
When the trance ends, I was still going through the forms, and I was taken a bit by surprise when I hear Kishar's voice. "Ah, you're back. I hope everything went well, then?"

Kenessa A small yawn came from me as I opened my eyes. Getting things downloaded straight to the cranium - something right out of science fiction. Though, I was pretty sure that Sanctuary did stuff like that before breakfast. Lousy, brilliant, xenophobic bastards.
When I came to, I was greeted by Kishar. This time, however, I understood everything she was saying right from the go. And I responded in turn. "Good. I... good. Thanks," I was still a bit groggy. Old Realm, was it? It was hurting my head for only the briefest of moments, then it immediately faded. "I got a tongue upgrade. Never thought mine would be useful outside of somebody else's mouth."
That's right, Nessie's quipping in alien languages, boys.
Then, I realized just what the hell I'd said, and whom I was saying it to. I started to babble, in this Old Realm-speak, no less! "Good lord, I'm so sorry. I'm just wakin' up, and I'm probably drunk off my arse," the latter was probably untrue, that wine didn't really fuck with my head yet. "Thanks for, uh, the uh... the magical... language... downloader... I appreciate... fuck, I'm an awkward bitch."
I muttered that last part. Guess I was still a little flustered from the whole 'brain scanning sun people' thing. Planeswalking human True Neutral | 31 | Female Kishar shinzo

I rolled my neck, enjoying the distinct crack as I stood up and cracked my fingers as well, trying to make sure that I got nice and limber after being stuck in the same position for so long. Of course, that wasn't an actual issue, simply an old biological impulse from when I still was affected by such mundane concerns of the flesh, but it still felt good to do so. As such, I never really kicked the habit. I suppose it was like those people who reached a state where they did not need to eat, drink, or sleep but still did so anyway for the pleasure of it. While we could overcome those limits, it seemed that our brains still liked them. Not that this was too much of an issue so it wasn't anything important at least. "Of course it went well, this was a mere Sapphire Circle spell, not even something exclusive to the Solar Exalted. You could learn it too if you wanted Shinzo," I said, taking the success of the spell as an absolute given. After all, I had long since graduated from the point where anything but the most potent Solar Circle Spells such as the summoning of Third Circle Demons would give me any trouble.
I looked her over as she seemed a bit groggy from her response and I replied, "Well, I could get you some medicine if you think that might help, or else use some of my magic to treat it. Just let me know if you need something to make the training go more smoothly." What came out of her mouth next, however, made me stare at her for a second before bursting out into a bit of laughter at what she had just said. After a bit of laughing I managed to get my laughter under control and made a joke of my own to Shinzo, "I think this one should be your apprentice for the most part instead of mine, it seems you and her share far more in common than her and I. I think you could teach her plenty about how to use her tongue given where you work." I found her comment far too amusing to really care about it, and just was enjoying it as I sat down on the couch and drank some more wine. I waved off her own self-depreciation and the thanking me for what I had done, "It is nothing, really. All it costs me is about seventeen minutes worth of Essence with the rate I regenerate it at and six minutes worth of cooldown on my phylactery." A single Celestial Circle spell was pretty much nothing to me, that was for sure. Only Solar Circle Sorcery and Necromancy demanded Willpower from me when I used my phylactery as it should be used after all.
I gestured towards the books that I had called up and said, "Do indulge yourself when you feel up to it, I would recommend reading up on the general sorcery information presented in the White Treatise first, and then move on to the book on the ideographic notation in the Silurian Primer before moving on to the book on Devonian Calculus. The fundamentals will help you understand the ideographic notation, and the notation is used to represent spell effects and is worked into the math in the Devonian Calculus book and each ideogram has an associated formula that it is short for, which allows us to compress the equations down immensely, which is rather important considering the amount of math that goes into just one spell."

Sheathing my sword as I prepare to help Nessie and Kishar back to the world of the living if they needed any help, I couldn't help but be caught off guard by the rather unabashed statement she made, to the point that Kishar's rather testy reaction to some polite questions, not even specific to the spell, but just general aches and pains that might result from spending an hour in the same position, was something that hardly occurred to me. The time had simply flown by for me, so to see her so affected was both jarring and amusing, especially given the context of her reaction.
Kishar, it seemed, had a similar reaction. That was good. So she -had- a sense of humor after all, even if it was somewhat stunted and malnourished by this point. I walk over to Kishar and give her a few pats on the back. "Breathe, breathe." When she did compose herself and recover, I grin. "See, now that's a good idea." Turning back to Nessie, I flash a devilish grin. "I can teach you a whole lot more things to do with your tongue than using it inside someone's mouth." If pressed, I -could- use it to shore up her issues with the finer points of socialization and speechcraft...but I'd probably stand by what someone would think about what I said. Kishar's point wasn't wrong...and I certainly wouldn't mind teaching that at all. Still...I couldn't miss an opportunity to take a jab. "In fact, I think there's two people in front of me that need help in that regard. Fortunately, you have the greatest teacher you could ask for~"
Calming myself down a bit, I turn back to Nessie. "Of course, I'm sure your sorcery training takes priority. If you do want something a bit more active than reading, though, feel free to mention it at any time. For your lessons, it would help me a great deal to know what exactly you can do with your sword...and with your tongue, as well." If she thought she was getting much in the way of mercy, she had another thing coming.

Kenessa Good, just embarrass me harder. I didn't know what was worse - teasing gods or vindictive ones. At least the latter were willing to show their truer feelings. "Yeah yeah, laugh it up," I muttered, turning to one of the books. "Thanks for the offer. Maybe I'll take you... up on it," I said to Shinzo, shaking my head at my great leaps in shitting on my own character. "I'm gonna get started. Lots of reading ahead."I reached in my bag, pulling out a pen. There was some paper next to me, so that would help with note-taking. During my prep time, I was thinking about my impression on the two. Benevolent. That was in short supply with higher beings, honestly. At least these two seemed to enjoy my outburst. But, here they were again, trying to offer me more lessons. They were sounding less like patrons and more like marketers. I didn't need a complete class makeover. It was annoying only because I never took kindly to being led around by the nose. Shinzo seemed to get that. In all of this, however, I was mostly silent as I immediately tucked into the first book I grabbed. "Introduction to Devonian Calculus..." I whispered mostly to myself. The book was dense. I was a quick reader, but even I knew that I should take the time to look into everything. And, so, my time began. Day 1 of learning Sun People Math. END.
