"I always dreamt of cotton candy." Lucid dreaming had become pretty easy for me over the years. All the time I spent alone gave me the room I needed to practice. Various techniques tested, and after a few years, I was carving out the dreamscape with the best of them.
It was around that time I'd realized that lucid dreaming for a Planeswalker was really, really weird. See, it was less of being trapped in a dream, and more of a time when your power was unrestrained. You were walking the planes as easily as you breathed, and it all happened in instants.
I kind of got used to it. A lot of my contacts in the past were made when I was slobbering on the linen, and when I woke, I had some knowledge that I didn't particularly mean to possess. It contributed to how much I knew of the Planes and their general layout. There weren't many mortals who could say they had intimate knowledge of things that liked to crawl between the cracks of reality. A bitchin' power to have, that knowledge was.
But, that was years ago. About six years, to be precise. After a run-in with a certain spider-y elder being, and a stab through its heart, I was repaid with the stripping of my ability to convene with the multiverse, at least vocally. That put a hamper on a lot of my life, and I was forced to only talk to things that could spare the time to translate their tongue to Tiny Human Speak.
After that, I had chosen to just keep the lucid dreaming to a minimum. I closed up shop in my head, ensured that no pesky astral nasties could poke around in it, and kept my wits about me whenever I shut my eyes. For six years.
So, imagine my surprise when I found myself floating above the skies of an area. I was... younger. Six years younger; ripe age of twenty-five. I couldn't see it, but I could feel it. And, I was somewhere I didn't expect.
The Astral Planes. The Cosmos. The Universe Outside. I mean, hell, it was better than getting mixed in Necropolis, but it was a jarring prospect. Angels and all sorts of light-oriented Johnsons liked to call this place their home.
The Gods did, too. The most powerful of them stuck around this place.
I never went looking for these guys unless I was trying to fulfill a job, and I'd been on sabbatical for about half a year now.
Something brought me here. Someone.
And, with that very comforting realization, I very calmly spoke out to the Cosmic void. "H-hey... who's there? Why ya crashing my dream?"
I promise, only a bit of my voice cracked. Price Of Deicide Kenessa Asalea | Present Day | Astral Planes [Projecting] flaze

ISKANDER "This doesn't even come close to what I wish I could do to you," came a loud booming voice that resounded throughout the space surrounding Kanessa. The voice made even the realm of her dreams shake as heat began to increase around her.
Then, as if on cue, a veil of flames erupted in front of her, the flames slowly twisting and taking on the shape of a man. While his body was clouded in flames his piercing eyes could be seen, along with that stare that shone with disdain and hatred, something that was highlighted more by the flaming head of "hair" that waved over his head.
"I began to lose hope that I would find such a vermin like you, but alas, luck still smiles upon me," he stated, his voice now sounding proud and condescending as he glared at Kanessa.
He didn't do or say anything at first though, instead, he just stared at her, as if debating what he should do, not in nervousness though, but more like a predator pondering on how to devour its prey.
Finally, after what seemed like ages, he stretched out his hands. "I'll cut to the chase human. Give me what you stole, apologize for what you did and I might reconsider erasing you from existance." DEMIGOD

Kenessa Poor little girl, stuck in betwixt reality. Dreams weren't even safe; these realms sitting snugly in the cracks of the universe, purportedly the bastions of safety, were vulnerable to attack.
I never, ever got a break.
Neither did my breathing. Even in this place, I stared upon Iskander with all the fear you would expect of someone like me facing against something like... that. Fire and brimstone didn't compare - I'd been to Hell, and I'd seen what called themselves The Devil.
That wasn't The Devil, for me. This was my Devil. My Lucifer. My personal demon who stalked my presence. I'd run from him after committing the atrocity of murdering his father...
And now, he was here. In my god damn head.
"You... you shouldn't be here..." I breathed out. I was myself from so many years ago - my visage was different. I was greener... and it showed. It showed so uncomfortably clearly.
"I locked you out. I-I kept you at bay," I sputtered, backing away from the demigod. "I locked the gate! How are you here?!" Planeswalking human True Neutral | 25 | Female flaze

ISKANDER
"You can lock a gate," he spoke, his voice sounding soft yet menacing as he disappeared and appeared behind Kanessa, purposely trying to frighten her more. "But it can always be reopened."
He stared at her, still hesitant on what to do now that she was in front of him. The woman that had desecrated his legacy, stolen one of his treasures and even took the life of his father, the being that had thought him everything, even to take pride in his heritage.
But still, a part of him couldn't help but feel a bit sad for him, after all, he was part human himself, even if he had grown to abandon that form long ago. But standing here, with this human essentially at his mercy, it made feelings resurface.
"Even if you wanted to push me away, fact of the matter is that you were never going to succeed anyway." he stated. "I see you've grown since the last time we saw each other. I'm glad, it means that you now have more to lose...though I feel like you're still suffering from the last thing I took away from you," he smirked at her.
"Now, enough of your silly dwadling human, give me what I came here for."

Kenessa I was suddenly very happy that the dream realm didn't require bodily functions, otherwise there'd be a southernmost problem for me.
Still, it did have one of those very primal things - fear. Fear and the idea of fear. Abstract thoughts survived seamlessly in this place, and instinct was no different. I was able to feel the threat of harm... and I had the imagination to guess what Iskander could do to me.
I didn't dare turn to him, for fear of what I'd see. He was in human shape, yes, but what if he wasn't. I didn't want to see. I just stared forward, and spoke. "You... ain't... aren't getting it back," I defiantly spoke. "Azorthragal knew what he was doing when he attacked me. He paid for... fucking with the wrong mortal."
I clenched my fist. "Don't make me do the same to you." Planeswalking human True Neutral | 25 | Female Calling the Following: [ flaze ]

ISKANDER Iskander lowered his head a bit upon hearing her reply, only to smirk, yeah, it made sense for someone like her to respond like that. "You know, I'm actually glad. I was starting to feel remorseful," he said with a smirk as he stepped back. "Tell me, what's so important about wha tyou stole, something that's caused you so much grief, that you'd even risk your life to keep it?"
It was a question made out of pure curiosity, after all, he could sense how scared she was. Yet, she still held on, as if she thought that she could somehow escape even if he truly got serious. It was...amusing to him, but also admirable in a way that he would never openly admit to others.
Unfortunately the words she spoke about his father still hurt him, fueling his rage more as that feeling of admiration subsided quickly. What would she know? His father was only protecting a priced possession from a thief and because of his own carelesness too. "On second thought...I think I'd rather get all these answers face to face," he stated with a slight grin. DEMIGOD NEUTRAL | 300 | SEXLESS (Prefers to pass off as male)

Kenessa Face-to-face...
No. The thought of seeing him face-to-face, on Earth, in my home; it sickened me on a primal level. He didn't belong - he shouldn't belong. To me, he was something distinctly and wholly inhuman on a level so subatomic that I wasn't able to fathom it.
He was the progeny of a being so terrible the very universe it stood in cowed under its presence. Straight from the horse's deformed mouth, Azorthragal had been formed from primeval energies, and promptly began ripping a number of universes a collective new one...
And I had ended him on his untold thousandth with his own blade.
Now, the repo man was here to collect.
Fuck that.
Turning on my heel, I drew my gun, and took a shot directly at the Demigod's face. I didn't stay in that spot for long, jumping back to gain some distance. I was at least confident enough in my aim that I would be able to whip the gun out and get a steady enough shot that he would be hit.
I shouldn't have been that naive. Planeswalking human True Neutral | 25 | Female

ISKANDER Iskander had to admit that he was surprised by her sudden movements. This human, she had a powerful will, or at least her survival instincts were on point.
However, he wasn't fazed by it, the bullets simply phasing through him as if they had gone through a cloud of smoke, the hole in his head being filled out once more by the flames. 'So this is your final answer huh? And to think that I was being so understanding," he sighed.
He lifted his hand and in the blink of an eye large columns of fire erupted, blazing through to surround Kanessa and block her from running further. He then charged, his body disappearing and reappearing in front of her before he fired a torrent of searing white flames. DEMIGOD NEUTRAL | 300 | SEXLESS (Prefers to pass off as male)

Kenessa Regeneration. I wasn't surprised. Shaken, but not surprised.
The teleportation, however, nearly caught me off guard. I was quick to react, moving to the side out of the way of the physical attacks. I could feel myself trying to activate my plane-shifting power, and I could feel it failing.
Still, the heat of those flame pillars streaked against my back, reminding me that I was working in a very confined space.
I didn't waste any time, and took another three shots at the demigod. It was done less out of a strategy, and more out of a sense of needing to do something to stave off his advance.

ISKANDER Why did she insist on attacking him? That was what went through Iskander's mind as more of Kanessa's attacks passed through him. He ignored them though and continued walking.
Unfortunately, unbknownst to him, her attacks had actually managed something. Iskander's place in the dream realm was starting to falter.
Just as the demigod reached out for Kanessa he felt that familiar pull, it stopped his body in his tracks, causing him to glance down at his hands as he realized he was starting to lose his from.
He frowned, eyes glaring down at his hand before glaring at Kanessa. He had messed up, he had let his goal get the best on him and now he was slipping away. "It...it seems like I won't be able to be around for much longer after all," he muttered, his voice sounding more distant. "But that's okay...soon, very soon, I'll go to that plane you call your home. Nothing will stop me then." DEMIGOD NEUTRAL | 300 | SEXLESS (Prefers to pass off as male)

Kenessa He was... fading... I won? No. No, he was losing his grip on this reality. It was a temporary setback. Everything always seemed to be that way in the end. "I... you won't have me..." I tried to be defiant, I really did. But, something in me knew that this thing would be coming for me very soon. My eyes closed, and the dream dispersed. But, that wasn't the end. It never was. Trouble always had a way of finding me, after all. Exit. Planeswalking human True Neutral | 25 | Female
