It seemed as if she was using some sort of special technique. Good, this would be an interesting and quite amusing test of the limits of my Sorcery. I was pretty sure this would work on techniques not directly based on Essence, but this was the first chance that I would get to actually test it. "Reflect," I would say as she charged towards me, and quickly a small round mirror would be shaped into existence and start spinning around just above my head. For a split second, three large rectangular mirrors would appear arrayed behind me before disappearing just as quickly as they appeared. My gut told me it would be bad if I let that hit, so I decided that it would not hit. And with that declaration I prepared to turn it into reality right before she struck out at me, her attacks passing through thin air as I broke into shadows that flit and moved around, dodging the first hit and any other hit that she would try to string together with it. However, that was not all that would happen. As soon as the technique was executed and whiffed the thin air that I had once been in, the mirrors from behind me reappeared once again and confirmed what I had suspected, it would copy things that didn't use Essence the same way we did. A direct copy of Nergui came out of the Mirror and directed the attack right back at her, with all the same boons that she had used to make her attack stronger.
As this happened I would follow up on the momentum that I gained from either her being hit, her being forced to dodge, or being forced to block the hit by dropping low and activating that same combination as before, but this time aiming to send her flying straight up into the air. Perhaps she would dodge it this time, perhaps not, I was eager to see what exactly would occur. I wanted to see new things, and this was very much a new thing that she was giving me to see. A fight with someone besides another Exalt or Third Circle Demon that was making me dig deeply into my own reserves. It was a thrill, and a good distraction from what was on my mind. I wanted to see where this would go and I wanted her to give me an even better fight! "Come now, I know you have more for me. I can feel your power, show me everything that you can put out and challenge my Solar might!" I said, letting the flow of battle pump through me, the adrenaline seeking to purge the unnecessary thoughts from my mind and leave me focused only on the duel at hand.

Nergui was beginning to understand the error in putting her Dark Knight class up against this girl first, while he could more than handle what Kishar had to put out against her the lack of speed was damning and was causing all of her attacks to miss, be countered, or be unable to dodge her opponent. This became an especially large issue as Kishar seemed to have countered her current combo and was currently aiming another attack towards her center mass. The clash of her own attack being turned to hit her once again was a bite against her pride and the feeling of flying higher than she had ever before was disorienting. It wasn't that Nergui had never been thrown through the air or had her own movies countered in such a way but this would be the first time she had even been thrown over two-hundred meters into the air. There was little she could do to stop herself from hitting the ground at full speed so she would merely have to bite the bullet with another application of 'Blackest Night' Nergui spun lazily through the air until she came down once more, sword hung over her shoulder as she released another wave of dark energy from her blade some seconds before hitting the ground, enough to slow her speed significantly but not enough to stop the fall completely as the barrier absorbed the brunt of the falling damage. She could feel the damage Kishar had done with that latest counter as something twinged oddly in her body at the slightest movement and with her combos constantly deflected like this it would be impossible to heal. Though this was certainly the time to drop all pretenses of defense and go all-out in the attack. Nergui drew forth another crystal blazing of blue as her aether prepared itself for the switch, swallowing her for a moment as the classes switched out from Dark Knight to Samurai. Her clothing a mixture of flowing cloth and hardened leather, a sash crossing over her waist which was attached to the sheath of her newly drawn Katana. Nothing was so noticeable about it as compared to the sword she had used as a Dark Knight but she was proud of it none the less as it was forged from the remains of one of the bestial god's. With a quick application of 'Second wind' she could feel her internal wounds knit back together somewhat, not fully restoring the damage done but significantly fixing her up. It would be some time before she could re-apply that, "You're something else, certainly. I'll stop the defense for now and show you my speed."{Samurai Appearance} {Samurai Stats}Intelligence: 3 (3) Strength: 4 (7) Speed: 4 (7) Stamina: 4 (7) Durability: 4 (3) Supernatural Energy: 5 (5) Combat Proficiency: 7 Power Proficiency: 5 (5)

I grinned at her and rolled my neck, popping all of the joints in my neck as she stood back up and performed a move that radically changed the way that her power flowed within her, and then used some sort of ability that allowed her to heal herself. That was fine by me, it wasn't as if I couldn't do the same thing. However, since this seemed to be going for the long haul, I figured I ought to pre-empt the problem entirely. As she was doing her change, I traced a few of my vital points of Essence on my body and reinforced my vitality, providing a buffer between myself and true injury. It would hit those after I was a bit more bruised up than I already was, but before it started to actually affect me. What she said next and the fact that she was willing to offer me the first move this time left me ready for more, and I gave her a smile as I responded. "Oh, so we are making this about speed now? I suppose I should do the same then. This should be a fun experience, I haven't met very many people that can keep up when I use this," I said, giving a smile before taking a deep breath in and out, suffusing my body with further essence, pushing away the limitations of speed and becoming one with the Light that I carried within my veins. It was no longer simple movement that I was doing, but near teleportation. The only limit now was how far I could jump in a single go, which was about 180 meters if I didn't want it to affect my attacks.
After taking up my stance, I stayed still for a moment before I would likely seem to utterly vanish to the eyes of my opponent, moving at speeds that reflected my intrinsic connection to the light of the Unconquered Sun. I would appear immediately in front of and below her, crouched and poised to unleash a devastating attack upon her. With another force of will and essence, my body tensed with energy before it seemed to explode into motion. Thirteen attacks were launched all at once, all different. I started with three straight punches to the gut from my position before jumping up into a leaping knee towards the same spot that I had punched. After that, I attempted to deliver two separate elbows destined for her shoulders, before trying to bash her in the head with my own forehead, the coldly burning brand of my caste mark hitting her straight on the front of her skull. Bringing my arms around, I tried to bring her head between my fists to disorient her before quickly attempting to go for an uppercut. The last series of attacks would be three gut punches like I had attempted before. Of course, that was just what I hoped to happen. All plans evaporated upon contact with the enemy however, so I would have to entrust it to my body to make the best happen while I waited for the dust to clear.

The speed of which Nergui spoke and the speed of which Kishar spoke were apparently two entire different classes of speed as while the xaela was more than capable of deflecting or dodging even close-range arms fire with ease this girl simply made a stance and disappeared from sight in one awe-inspiring move the two had gone from a distance apart to right next to one another. All she could do was activate the 'Arms-length' barrier to slow the incoming attacks, unfortunately leaving herself open for the first to land a solid blow to her gut. Nergui swept her Katana down to block the next and succeeded only to have her weapon blown back and dragging her to the side as the third hit landed awkwardly against her.
She could clearly see the path each attack would take before Kishar made them yet ever with her barrier slowing the other it was a difficult task to get off and forced Nergui to take drastic action to break off of this terrible combo. 'True North' and 'Meikyo Shisui' would allow her to take full advantage of the effects of her combos without needing to pull out the full combo and Nergui made sure to use that to full effect when using Kasha to meet the knee heading for her stomach. A flurry of cherry blossoms appeared about the two, flowing as if caught in a sudden wind as the blade snaked out to meet the knee, her own positioning weakening her ability to hit causing her arm to take the brunt of the damage. Thankfully for her it didn't matter if the hit was clean or not as long as the move was made and her Kenki began to flow.
Now was the time for her escape as her newly generated Kenki pushed itself into her legs and gave the Samurai and extra boost on jumping backwards as she switched hands with her sword and lashed out once more to the descending headbutt with the use of 'Yasha'. The damage she had just healed seemed to be returning already and it was pure luck her arm remained unbroken, but the dull throb would suggest there was an issue. A quick use of 'Hagakure' converted the seasonal energy she had just accumulated with Kasha back into Kenki for her next moves. Had it not been for her ability to slow Kishar down just a bit the result of that combo would have been terribly devastating and likely by the time the two re-engaged the effects of the barrier would be gone.
Between the moment of her jumping back ten-yards and Kishar's next attack missing Nergui would activate Bloodbath and heal for every wound she dealt upon the opponent and unleash an attack of her own, the effect of Yasha increasing the potency of her 'Enpi' move which released a small wave of pure energy towards the opponent. It was a small, trifling thing in comparison to the beast that had been her 'Dark Passenger' ability but it was meant only to ensure the breaking of the missed combo as she rushed forward once more with the use of Yasha's opposite 'Gyoten' which caused her to use that same enhancing energy to rush towards her opponent at blinding speeds and engage her with the 'Gekko' strike and gaining all of it's formidable striking power thanks to Meikyo Shisui.
Her blade moved in the fashion of a crescent moon starting from waist height at the xaela's left side and completing a single rotation, behind her it was the image of the moon as her aether took form to her Kenki's strength. It was not unduly powerful, nor undodgeable just yet but it was a powerful skill in it's own right and would surely cut that crescent shape into most opponents not possessing abnormal durability such as her current foe.

Hmm, quite interesting. It seemed that she was able to slow my attacks down enough to be able to deal with them for the most part as if they were separate, yet well co-ordinated attacks. However, it seemed as if she didn't want to deal with all of them at once, and she used an ability that was a bit weaker but not dissimilar to Leaping Dodge Method to put distance between the two of us. It wasn't hard to redirect my force to avoid her blade so that I didn't take a blade to the skull, an annoying but not debilitating wound. I had managed to land a few hits, and I figured that she was probably hurting. Not as much as she would have if I had hardened my fists no doubt, but she would definitely be feeling it for sure. She was doing quite well for a being that wasn't Exalted, that much was for sure. If she proved any better, I would respect her skill with the unleashing of the final level of martial arts that I had learned. She was a good opponent, but I was still unsure if she could handle it. What I had planned for her next and how she dealt with it would determine exactly whether I was willing to break out the Sidereal Arts as a sign of respect for her.
The first attack that she launched at me was a rather paltry energy attack that I practically slapped aside without a second thought, using the essence field that was around me to interfere with the attack and turn it to the side with the proper strike necessary to deflect it. A copy of her own self popped out of a mirror at the same time, and launched that attack right back at her as she charged toward me, ready to strike at me with her blade. Her charge was fast, but not nearly as fast as some of the Demons I had fought in my time, so I was perfectly prepared to meet her strike full on. It was a beautiful attack, I would give that to her, and as such I would respond to it in an elegant manner as well. I hardened my skin and took the strike as I moved through the attack, the blade cutting through the layers of fabric and to my skin, but it's damage being eaten by the enhanced vitality which healed the wounds as soon as they formed. Using that momentum and power that she put into her strike against her, I grabbed at her as she would be distracted trying to block her own attack coming back at her through the mirror and used the flow of both of our previous movements and the motions she was going through now to launch her straight behind me.
However, I was not done. With another blinding flash of speed, I moved myself in front of her path of flight and met her with a punch of my own, infusing it with the power of both the Shockwave Technique and the Thunder Hammer of Heaven so that she would be forced to dodge it while she was in mid air. If she could pull such a feat off, or at the very least come out of this still able to fight, she would have earned my respect and I would respect her abilities by bringing out the greatest arts that I knew. Even better would be if she found a way to try to strike out at me despite this condition, as the power to fight fate was something that I respected quite a lot. It was one of the many qualities that raised an individual above the crowd.

This golden woman was mirroring techniques in some way and it slightly infuriated Nergui to be fought with a copy of her own self. She had done enough of that with Fray when she commanded the abyssal powers and was not in the market for a repeat performance. At the very least this apparition currently using Gekko would be a useful target for her own 'Yukikaze' technique and the last use of her Shisui and true north abilities. As the mirror blade began it's crescent form Nergui would slice down at an angle with a single hard swipe meant to bisect the incoming attack, crystal formations of ice forming where her blade had passed as she blocked and filled two of her Senki gauges. Unfortunately she had only a moment to eat the two for her Kenki gauge before she was ambushed and thrown by Kishar. She only had moments to prepare but Nergui could clearly see that Kishar had already moved to catch her off guard with another step of her own, the aether in the air shifting as it alerted her of the incoming attack while she herself was in the air.
Dodging was going to be nigh impossible in this position and with no abilities available to her to allow for such a feat in this position but it was a needless worry as all she wanted to do was two things, destroy that mirror which seemed to producing copies of her attacks and damage Kishar at the same time and while in the middle of an attack seemed to be the best time to do such a thing. She had no time for complex planning or comparing of abilities and simply activated whatever was available to her at the moment from the Hawk's Eye and Raging Strikes to Blood for Blood and of course Kaiten. The next ability she would unleash would cause those prior to pale in comparison by degrees. So she spun lazily in the air for one moment then two as her body aligned just so with her opponent and her blade sung through the air.
'Hissastsu: Guren' was not an ability to be used lightly or for no reason, it was costly and drained over half of a full Kenki gauge but it was doubtlessly the strongest attack available at this moment. Twin bursts of crimson energy roared ahead of her own self and towards her opponent while supplemented by her numerous abilities from the damage increase of Blood for Blood and Raging Strikes to the concentration of Kaiten. Most wonderfully was her ability of Hawk's eye which guaranteed a hit on her target within a short time period. This hardly solved the issue that she was still moving towards Kishar but she had aimed towards both her and the mirror and the X-like wave of energy was quite large in comparison to the previous two she had used so with luck the other would be forced to defend or she would likely be sent flying again.

It was interesting that she chose to fight by attacking the mirror clone. It would take damage, but it would still deliver it's attack, though it seemed to have missed thanks to the damage that it took. Another thing that might be of note to Nergui would be that she found a weakness in the charm, it didn't return attacks back at her when she attacked the mirror people, only when she attacked either myself or the mirror. It would be an interesting thing to note for later, as nobody had ever tried that before. That was a first for me, even in my couple thousand years of life. Of course, I hadn't had too many opportunities to use this spell in actual combat before, I tended to either outclass them heavily or it was a fight limited strictly to the martial arts. Very rarely did I have anything near this level of fight where it was all out.
I especially appreciated the fact that instead of trying for a block, she decided that she would attack me head on in her flight. I commended that spirit, to charge at your foe head on with an attack and take the hit necessary to deliver a blow to them was a trait that showed great conviction in her skills. And for that, I could only commend her and meet her without rendering it futile with the perfection of Solar Essence. Instead of dodging the hit or hardening my skin perfectly, I simply pumped essence into it to defend against the hit, prepared to take the damage with this enhanced soak. It seemed as if her attack wasn't single pronged however once it had been launched, and the second one was heading straight for the mirror. It was of no matter if it was destroyed. I was fine with not having that spell anymore. A gift to her for the bravery that she was showing in taking the hits as they came.
The strike hit me, and it did quite a bit of damage, stripping the rest of my extra vitality away and leaving rends in my armor and flesh, that bled for only a second before they were willed shut, sealing and preventing any blood loss through sheer force of will. That wouldn't stop me, however. After all, she was now open for the attack that I was aiming at her, and as such I hit her straight with it, sending her flying away from me. I did not move from the spot, however. I would wait for her to get back up, I knew she had more in her than that. I knew that she would be able to stand up from that attack, even it it hurt. She was worthy, after all.
After she visibly got up to me, I would appeared about twenty meters from her and smiled, saying. "You have proven yourself quite worthy, Nergui. Not very often do opponents do so well against my second tier of martial arts. You even managed to wound me," I said, referring to the strike she had delivered to me earlier. "As such, I believe it is time to show you the Blossom of the Perfected Lotus. Until now, I had simply using styles of the Roots and Bulb, but now I shall show you what the absolute pinnacle of martial arts truly is," I said, smiling before waving my hand, the ground everywhere around us becoming as if it was mirrored, reflections bouncing off the plants, the ground, and even bits of the air. With a deep breath, I drank in the mirrors and reflected upon the Essence of infinity as I began to speak, "Once there was a thoughtful maiden who broke her mirror, and dropped the pieces to the ground. She thought to repair it, but was arrested by the sight of the scattered shards, which showed so many visions of her face. She put the pieces back together at all the wrong angles, and was delighted at the image of herself. The maiden wanted to show everyone how wonderful she looked, but it seemed as though none could see it. So she painted a self-portrait, and portrait after portrait after that, until she made everyone look at her and they all believed her."
I did not truly need to recite the Sutras of the style, but I felt it was a good thing to do for someone uninitiated. It would give her an idea of what I was doing, and why I had made so many mirrors. I could feel the Essence of Infinity flowing through my veins, and I was ready to fight against anything that came my way. "Come then, and I shall now give you a taste of the Obsidian Shards of Infinity, and perhaps should you continue to impress, I will show you my other style. I shall give you the first blow in this round."

The mirror was gone and her attack had gone off as she had planned except for the portion in which Kishar simply tanked through it once more. Nergui could see the wounds blossom in contrast the pale and golden coloring of the Exalt but it seemed she was determined to land this blow and Nergui had little capability but to let it. This was unlike when she was a Dark Knight or if she had been another Tank class, the Samurai was never meant to take blows like this naturally as it was their entire existence to eliminate the threat before it could respond. So it made sense that the pain of running into the attack was a few times over what it had been before as Kishar's fist dug into her stomach and launched her back once more. Her arc was graceful in a strange way as Nergui sailed back over the ground, spinning more times than she would count before her shoulder roughly impact the ground and came to a grinding halt. The Xaela stood but it was with a pained, wet wheeze as something rubbed strangely inside of her. More broken bits she would need to fix and glue back together later but nothing that would kill for now. Rather it was more important for her to focus on the fact that she was taking many more hits than dealing and this process was likely to repeat itself. Now that the mirror was gone though she should have an easier time of it, or at least that was the assumption until Kishar spoke of a strange maiden and of how she pressed her new image into reality until none could deny her, or at least that is what Nergui understood of it. The world had turned reflective with every piece of their surroundings giving off a similar glint from the grass to the sands and even the air itself seemed to have become some twisted reflective substance. Something oppressive pressed down on existence as a strange feeling pricked at every part of her body, something was wrong with reality itself for it to twist itself so. Nergui withdrew a Soul Crystal in the shape of an axe's head with a similar symbol burning in the center of it as she changed to the Warrior Class. Furred plate armor replacing the silk and leather as it covered her as if some pretender of a tribal warrior. Hunched over even it seemed as if the warrior had grown in size in some strange way, a presence of rage and power in spades as her boots crushed the earth and gravel beneath it and a dual-headed axe buried itself into the ground as 'Defiance' and 'Deliverance' caused a red aura to cloak the woman, wounds mending and bones popping back into place with the use of 'Equilibrium'. She was far from being fully healed but in less a worse condition than she just had been. The woman had been given the first move and she would take it for all it was worth. 'Holmgang' activated and the world paused for a second before a translucent chain spread from Nergui to Kishar, locking their essences together and drawing the latter towards Nergui should nothing be done to counter it. The chain would immobilize the both of them within striking distance of one another for a time. She 'Infuriated' herself as a bestial roar broke from the closed helm, her strength increase and the axe hooking over Nergui's shoulder as she moved to bring it down on her approaching foe to use 'Decimate' and cracking the ground in a large cone in front of her with simple strength and rage, the sand and grass swelling before it exploded. 'Raw Intuition' would ensure any attack taken from the front would be parried while negating the critical strength given to attacks on her sides and flank with 'Awareness'. {Stats - Warrior}Intelligence: 3 Strength: 4 (7+) Speed: 4 (5) Stamina: 4 (7) Durability: 4 (7+) Supernatural Energy: 5 (2) Combat Proficiency: 7 Power Proficiency: 5 (2) {Warrior - Appearance}

More healing, very good. That meant that she very much could go on quite a bit longer. The armor and sheer aura reminded me much of some of the Full Moon Lunars who were quite in touch with the more feral side of themselves, and as such preferred to adorn themselves in ways that reflected this. I did not flinch as the aura radiated around her. Instead, I took some enjoyment in regards to the fact that she was ready and waiting to fight. When she activated the chain to pull me towards her, I simply allowed it to occur but instead of being pulled I simply teleported into the position it was seeking from me. She sought to keep us chained together and in close contact. That was fine with me, I worked best at close range after all. However, it was time to show her what it meant to be fighting a master of the Obsidian Shards of Infinity. In response to the attack that she was about to use, I simply and calmly took a deep breath and brought my hands together, pulling them apart in a slow, almost hypnotizing motion. The actions that were supposed to happen were offered a second opinion, and the world took it.
Instead of the axe crashing into the ground and causing a cracking of the earth and shockwave, the axe found itself stuck in the ground as if she had merely swung the blade at the ground with an immense strike with no magic backing it up whatsoever. Using this opportunity I made a quick gesture at my opponent, and the mirrored surfaces that had been surrounding us and reflecting naturally all began to reflect her image no matter what angle they were at her, my arts fixing her form on the mirror. This would be a rather interesting visual effect, but that was far from the intended effect of the charm. To that end, I would demonstrate that by stomping on one of the reflections that showed her back, and demonstrating the truly powerful nature of the charm. Regardless of how she moved to dodge, the force would be transferred through the reflective surface, forcing her to either parry something invisible, something she should be quite capable of, or take a blow that attacked her very essence, ignoring a full half of her armor and natural ability to resist damage. I couldn't put any of my other charms into it just yet, but that was only because it would disrupt the delicate flows of essence needed to establish the mirrors. Soon I would be able to, but this would give her fair warning that this ability I was using was more than just for show. It was a deadly ability that would allow me to launch insane, unpredictable attacks by dealing with not her body, but the endless reflections that were in the surrounding environment.

Reality seemed to snap for a second and what should have been a thunderous attack turned into something much more mundane and nearly shameful for the warrior as her axe simply buried itself into the dirt. Was this a new trick the other had devised against her? Just as she prepared to unleash another attack her foe snapped her foot out and kicked a shard of a mirror and the echo reacted as if a force of lethal power was heading for Nergui's unguarded back. Tanking through it was always an option but too much damage had already been taken and thoughtlessly allowing more would be foolish especially considering Kishar seemed to be on a path of continual escalation. Instead an ability that had been reserved for later would be required more now than before thanks to this situation Nergui had helped to create.
Her aura exploded out as 'Inner Release' was activated, cracking the ground as Holmgang released the force which made her face Kishar while still keeping the Exalt tied to her. She spun quickly as the Echo bounced about in her head of the impending attack and relied on Raw Intuition to carry her through on parrying whatever was approaching. An invisible lance of what could only be power collided with her axe as the aether guided her movements to parry the attack, spinning on one heel to once again be facing the Exalt to respond in kind with another combo of her own 'Heavy Swing' 'Maim' and 'Storm's Eye' techniques being incorporated as she swung down vertically to follow with an upward slash that would carry her into a spinning slash should any of the hits land or not be blocked. With the use of 'Inner Release' she had made it things like stuns of knockbacks nullified against her person for a time so she had no worries over that troublesome combo from earlier even though Kishar seemed to have changed in some strange way the moment she announced the use of this new, enhanced style.

No room to dodge. No time to parry. More than one strike incoming, so using a soak was unwise. So I would have to dodge anyway, calling upon the power of my Essence to flow through my body as I expended even more energy to once again break into a flurry of shadows that flitted and avoided each and every one of the attacks that she had aimed at me, all without having to move from the spot that I was standing, dodging every single one by a hair's breath and with my composure completely intact. This was something that I had no issues with, I could deal with it with ease. I would have to be careful to not get caught by this bind again, however, as it severely limited my ability to adequately move and defend. It was wearing off though, I could see the power waning in it and after I responded to this attack I could tell that it would be done and over with. That would free me up to attack her however I saw fit. Now was the time for my counterattack, and I knew exactly what to do. It was time to show her that I could mix both the style I was using now and the style I had been using before without trouble. I could tell that she was immune to the knockback of the heaven thunder hammer, but that was of no issue. Simply rendering her unable to dodge was good enough with the sheer amount of attacks I was about to unleash.
With a deep inhale and an exhale, my body tensed as soon as it reformed from the flitting shadows that I had broken into in order to dodge. Almost immediately after, I once again broke into a flurry of motion, throwing punches and kicks at the scattered reflections of her that appeared in the chunks of the ground that had come up when she ripped her axe from the ground and attacked me. A few strikes were directed with stomps rather than punches, but the effect was the same. Strikes came at her from all angles, first one at her solar plexus, then another at the back of her right knee and shortly after her left. Another came straight for her chin, while one shortly after would aim for the back of her head. Three would then aim for her gut before two more came after her kidneys one after another. The strikes finished off by aiming straight at her face, three more directly in succession. Hopefully this would show her exactly why the Solar Exalted had been able to do what we did in the past, such was the true power of the Martial Arts. And we didn't even have these Sidereal Arts in that time, they were developed in the time after the war.

She had dodged in the same frustrating way that seemed to permeate from every move made, a relaxed ease even as the axe passed within an inch of her face and Holmgang was losing strength to keep the Exalt within easy melee range for Nergui to take advantage of. She would likely have to suffer another flurry of blows after Kishar regained her freedom and as her opponent landed Nergui would activate 'Vengeance' to reduce whatever damage she took but more importantly a portion of the damage launched at her would be sent to Kishar as well and 'Anticipation' to increase her ability to parry these attacks. Another bestial roar though it felt more like a groan came forth as 'Thrill of Battle' sent her blood pumping and healed her that extra bit once again.
For a moment Kishar landed then the attacks began as she stomped down upon the glass at a dizzying rate, the echo a scream as she visualised the invisible blades making their way for her body and all she was truly capable of was hardening her stance and awaiting the first few to run into her Raw Intuition. The attack aimed at her Solar plexus caught by the head of Nergui's axe before a sharp pain took her down to a knee, the brace on her arm taking the blow aimed at her other leg but bending the arm the bone as she fought to stop from being dropped to her knees. The axe would once again block the one aimed from the front of her head before her helmet was smashed to the metal of the weapon as another took her head from the back, a moist warmth trailing down across the Xaela's scales. Three more were swatted down with sharp cuts from her axe as they approached from the front in a suitably predictable manner though they were distracting enough.
The attacks from the side were unavoidable but the red lines indicating three more to her face were not so she lifted her weapon and pushed forward while being speared into the sides, something seeming to pop as she could feel a wetness that should not be dribbling out of her mouth and the three attacks to her head forced the axe back against her body. With a last desperate act she turned from Kishar and used 'Onslaught' while targeting an area opposite of the Exalted to rush forward at blinding speeds enhanced by her rage before collapsing to a knee, harsh and wet breaths escaping the warrior, "You're quite something, I've not been injured like this since the 'World of Darkness'"

As the hits assaulted my opponent, I could feel the empathetic link she had established to me transferring a portion of the damage she was taking to me, which while it hurt and would slow my movements somewhat, it would not be all that much of a problem. It was still a bit of an annoyance, however, so with a light touch to the largest wound I had, I infused my body with Essence and the pain dissipated, treated with a natural opium high that was quite effective at relieving my body's natural discomforts from the pain. The transferred damage had also not opened up any physical wounds, so I did not need to worry about staunching my bleeding either, so I was fine on that front. I would treat my own wounds later, I was low enough on Essence that I didn't want to use it to heal myself at the moment, and it wasn't an issue to me right now. I was working at peak capacity thanks to the painkilling charms that I had used. I did, however, check over my opponent to see exactly what her wounds were so that I could see how resilient she was against them and see if I needed to put an absolute stop to the duel before she pushed herself too far. I could stop anything short of death, yes, but that wasn't an excuse to have her push herself all the way there.
To say that I was surprised that she was still up and walking despite the internal injuries she suffered would be an understatement. Lots of external bruising and minor injuries like a chipped horn were one thing, but the large amounts of broken bones, internal bruising, and organ damage on top of the concussion were definitely something that probably needed attention as soon as the fight is over. "And you are quite skilled at using your skills for someone as young as yourself. Its a testament to your skill and drive that you have gotten this far already," I said, giving her a smile before continuing, "However, you are rather wounded. I would recommend either treating yourself with some of that magic or calling the fight here. I will not force you to, as I can patch you up after you are knocked out regardless, but I am just saying it for your own sake. You must be in quite a bit of pain from the broken bones and ruptured kidneys especially." I didn't make any moves from my position, instead just watching the woman to see if she would get back up and continue the fight, or if she would give in here and now. I would not hold it against her, but it would quite impress me if she kept on going through the obviously severe wounds that she was suffering right about now. It would show a conviction and drive that was very rare to see, especially in a fight that was as casual as this.

It seemed that Kishar had begun to worry over the myriad of wounds that had begun to litter her body and if Nergui was to be honest she too was beginning to feel some worry over how injured she has become from such a simple spar. It was something so rare for the Xaela to experience as her greatest opponents fell one by one to her blade from the great savage Gods and their ilk to Zenos and his insurmountable will, "Woe betide the man who stands opposed the weapon of light for death will be his reward. Death for him and all that he holds dear." she said to Kishar while forcing herself to stand as she drew another crystal from the aether, an awkwardly shaped rock sitting in her palm with glowing a soft blue with the light of an eternal shield blazing from it's core. Another transformation as lights danced from head to tail and her body was encased in a shell of silver steel, ancient Allagan design and forging having gone into the protection of this suit and presented as a reward to Nergui after countless battles against the ancient hosts of Rabanastre and the invasion of Ivalice. In her right hand rested a sword of blue flame entwined around slim steel, her left carrying a shield shining that same blue fire. It was the form of a paladin the shields of Ul'dah. 'Convalescence' wrapped a pale green light around the parts of her body most injured as 'Clemency' activated and cast down a soft light to repair the worst of the damage. Broken bones mending and snapping back into place, wounds staunching and life preserved for now, though the Paladin would doubtlessly need the aid of white magic or surgery after this bout was ended. 'Divine Veil' cast a dome of reflective light in an area around her, reducing any damage directed at her within this small field while Nergui lowered her stance 'Shield Oath' drastically increasing her ability to resist damage. "You must understand it is quite rare for someone to survive so long, nor has anyone ever quite dominated the fight like this. I shall continue until I lay broken on these fields and pray you can fix me. I believe you have first move." Her voice was still racked with a wet gasp that was certainly unhealthy but the Paladin pressed on. It was a spam of abilities that heralded in the use of Paladin and 'sheltron' was the last as an imaginary barrier formed to ensure the next attack would be blocked. {Paladin - Stats}Intelligence: 3 (5) Strength: 4 (6) Speed: 4 (6) Stamina: 4 (6) Durability: 4 (7) Supernatural Energy: 5 Combat Proficiency: 7 Power Proficiency: 5 {Paladin Appearance}

I was impressed by her resolve, by the fact that despite her wounds she was willing to stand up and face me despite the dire wounds she was carrying. And for that, I would no longer hold back the final art that I had been saving, even if I would not use some of the more devastating arts or combinations that I could do with my arts. This was a friendly duel, after all, but I wanted her to see what was truly possible if we simply left behind our bodies of clay and became what we were always could have been, had our potential not been constrained by the Primordials. "Very well then, I respect your conviction and wish to see this to the end. In light of this, it would be disrespectful of me to hold back my final Arts any longer. Let us see how long your body will keep up with the steel that is your will," I said, giving her a respectful bow. I took a deep breath in and out and began to speak the lines of the Sutra of Understanding,
"Four Maidens walked through the door to a room where each found her favored foods. Also there was all they ever wanted. Toys and games, companions, tales of wonder, tools for beauty, and release from obligation. So much for freedom.
Everything is somewhere else. Here there is nothing. Why stay? Go find everything."
With those words almost feeling as if they were echoing around me, I held up my hands to my face and blew into them, as if I was trying to encourage a small ember to blossom into a fire upon kindling. With that action, a single axis opened up around me, almost as if an eye with my body as the pupil had come into being. The part that was the white, however, was a color that no mind could comprehend, messing with the mind and confusing it through the sheer impossibility of it. However, almost as quickly as it had come, the impossible eye would close, taking me along with it. In that non-space, I left my physical body and thus left behind it's limitations, sculpting the very Essence of my being into a form that was symbolic and representative of my mind and soul, colored by my convictions, my patron, and the Essence of the world around me. Normally, that Essence would have been that of an element, but due to the unique nature of my Sanctum, it instead was that of pure Solar energy.
After a brief calm that lasted a few precious seconds, I tore myself from the cocoon of unreality that I had been inhabiting, my true and terrifying form revealed for all to see, unleashing a 200 meter blast wave that was the most intense within 10 meters before weakening from there. The most immediate change was the change to my form, I stood over ten feet tall, wrapped in glorious raiment reminiscent of the Unconquered Sun himself, bearing the four arms that he did as well. Each hand seemed to be holding an illusory representation of each of the Fulcrums of the Unconquered Sun, a shield, a spear, a laurel, and a horn. My entire being radiated with the energy of the sun, gently radiating light and my skin appearing to be made of Orichalcum. I seemed to float slightly off of the ground, my golden wings spread out behind my back. The beauty of the form was beyond all that Nergui had likely ever seen or ever would see, so much so that even looking too long at my form would likely drain her will. "Well then, I have made my move, Nergui. Come forth and fight my truest form, far truer than the cage of flesh I was born into," by voice boomed, carrying across my territory as I took up my stance in mid air, ready to fight her.
