There was much sorrow, looking down from here at the now burnt scar which had basically been Vesstali's world, a tiny corner of paradise on earth. Fortunately it was still hers, but the strength to repair it was for the time being lacking.
This being the case, the best place for her to be was not on the physical plane but a higher one, where at the very least she could be seen without needing to search for those who could see ghosts, and where she could touch things without passing through them. Until her land recovered more it was hard to keep a physical form on the mortal plane even within her own lands, let alone without. More fortunate was that soon spring would come. With it, nature could bring new growth.
For the time being, Vessa must wait. It had been a very long time since she had been to a higher plane. She pulled her attention away from the earth. It was no use to keep looking. It may not have changed very much, but wherever she was on the planes above, she didn't recognize it. It was a bright place at least, so if nothing else she probably wouldn't be meeting anything sinister. Other than being here for shelter, she wasn't quite sure what expectations she had of this place. Hopefully, hopefully coming wasn't the wrong choice.

Amitiel Contrary to what most believed, it was quite normal to find a higher plane that was completely empty. Some places, once inhabited by the Divine, persisted.
It was in these bastions of light and power that many spirits found a home. While it wasn't necessarily a home for them, Amitiel definitely found it to be a nice change of pace.
Besides, it was rather rare that they could be in their natural form without the possibility of causing widespread destruction. The power the Archangel possessed in the Heavens before emanating off of them, yet it brought no harm to those within. They were in their element, and stood as something of a relaxed and protective force.
Amitiel's voice echoed to Vessa throughout the area. "It is beautiful, is it not? A wonderous place." Empyrean Angel neutral Good | ageless | genderless

What a surprise to find Amitiel here, in such a brilliant form. It was almost embarrassing to be addressed by the angel when Vessa was at such a weaker point then when she had been last seen. She did not carry the same pride and confidence as before. It showed in her expression when she turned towards the angel.
"In this place, I am the stranger. It will take some getting used to before I can echo your awe." she admitted apologetically. Perhaps she had gotten too used to being on the physical plane, forgetting that technically her home ought to be on a plane more like this one.

Amitiel "Indeed. I, too, am new here. But, I find peace in the silence," Amitiel stated. They were currently in the process of melding their energies with the plane to have more autonomy over it.
Not to become its god, but to tap into its vast resources and power.

Vessa showed surprise as she had not expected such an offer from the angel. She'd expected maybe to just keep her small perspective and passively wait around since it was hard to know what she could spend her time on in these higher places. "I don't see why not." She answered. Guess in this place Amitiel would be the one guiding her. Jay

Amitiel .The vastness of the realm would be revealed entirely to Vessa. From a rush of energy, it would seem as if the astral plane opened to reveal the latent energies that existed.
Power, long since abandoned by godlike entities, and light that radiated brighter than any sun would face her. However, as she was a being of similar nature, it would not harm her. No, the energy seemed entirely welcoming to her presence.
"This place is quite something... I still have not tapped into its farthest reaches yet," Amitiel stated. "Time does not flow linearly." Even then, it was apparent that whatever made that plane no longer existed. Empyrean Angel neutral Good | ageless | genderless

Being a spiritual being, it was not too much. Being a being that mimicked the physical in manifestation, eyes still widened at the vastness and potential of the realm. It seemed she could see further than she'd ever had the opportunity of seeing on earth thanks to Amitiel's showing her, Seeing wasn't even quite the right word since it was a higher sensory experience.
The time would take some getting used to, since Vessa had dwelt within linear time for so long. With eternity wrapped up in every second, and an access to anywhen, her trained skill of divining the future couldn't even be thought of as a science.
"Its, emptier than I thought, we're practically alone." she admitted, bothered by this observation due to its oddness compared to what she had seen in the few other higher places she had encountered. usually a place like this would have some kind of pervading 'mind' Here there was power and order, but no mind who owned it.
The question of why this was so barely crossed Vessa's mind. The lack didn't seem out of place when this realm was taken at its own value. What stood out most, was the potential. There was so much of it, for what this plane could be shaped into, and more. All it needed was someone who knew how. "I was thinking to simply wait here, and return to the lower world eventually but I've never seen anything like this." Jay

Amitiel ."Indeed. To simply bide time here would be a waste," Amitiel responded, lifitng their hand. Energy began to coalesce in their palm, forming into a sphere. Said sphere reflected the image of Vessa's ruined forest, then it changed to show the entirety of the planet, itself. "I found this. I believe it to be one of the many cores of this world."
Despite not moving, their attention was now firmly on Vessa. "Would you like it?"
What they were asking was not if Vessa would like to simply see the Sphere. No, they were asking if Vessa was willing to take the responsibility that came with it. Empyrean Angel neutral Good | ageless | genderless Loner。

Although she had never seen such a sphere before, Vessa instinctively knew what it represented. She reached out to touch it for a moment but, the feminine figure held back, hesitating. She'd ruled a small patch of woodland which was now in ruins. should she really take on this sort of potential?
Her expression grew downcast. She knew how lonely it could become to keep such a thing. She was even a little afraid. "no" she answered softly. "not alone." Maybe she'd be fine charged with caring for so much. she'd watched over her little scrap of land for decades without event... Until she'd let it burn for Amitiel's sake that is. Of the emotions she felt reflecting on that choice, guilt was one of them. Much could be at stake in this future if she took it.

Amitiel Amitiel understood Vessa's inhibitions. They were asking her to give up a relatively mortal life to pursue the place of being a higher being. For something like an angel, it was simply something that happened; after all, living for so many eons gave Amitiel a skewed idea of mortal life.
They looked into the Sphere, and gazed upon the world. It was vast - more vast than one would ever be able to comprehend. It was this perception that made Amitiel stand out among their peers.
But, they never forgot their place. A servant of a higher power. A guardian, and one drawn to the strength of beings of similar nature.
And the decree was made, and their voice would reverberate with Divine Intent.

Although afraid, vessa was able to smile at amitiel's determination. "Oh Amitiel, what if the partner is already here?" She asked her expression glowing with pure amusement.
She meant Amitiel, not some other wanderer to this land. This was someone she knew and trusted, and who was one of very few she'd been able to 'mother' recently. There was probably much she didn't know about the angel but she knew one thing. "You wouldn't have offered this to me if you didn't have a vision for this place." She even thought Amitiel might be more qualified than she, for the proposed role.

Amitiel A soft gasp came from the archangel - a rather fragile sound considering the immense being it originated from. It hadn't expected that level of flattery from Vessa.
"I... you flatter me far too much, Lady Vessatali," they said. "I am merely an angel. But, if it is your judgment that I assist in ruling this heavenly place, I will do all things I possibly can."
And just like that, their Empyrean Creed was fulfilled. That must have been a record. The mortal planes were getting more and more fascinating.
"I believe that this place could be a safe-haven for all things that wish to be shielded from Necropolian influence," Amitiel stated. "Do you agree?" Empyrean Angel neutral Good | ageless | genderless Loner。

"and I am merely the ghost of a dragon, certainly no being of renown." Vessa pointed out. "Together I suppose we'll be quite well suited." She noted with subtle mirth. If each of them thought themselves less than well suited, chances were they would manage beter than someone who thought too confidently. Vessa had lived in a 'mortal-emulating' life for an era beyond her mortal life before that. This might not be a mortal plane, but Vessa being used to thinking within such restrictions would find it a hard habit to break. She certainly had much to learn, from amitiel and perhaps others came more naturally from planes beyond the mortal. The not knowing would change in time. They would definitely be bringing in, or inviting others to this place.
"The victims of Necropolis' wrongs..." Vessa thought aloud. Who else... "And those souls who lack a place of their own." Vessa had no way of knowing yet, how many might be lacking. These were probably, aside from mortals, rather likely victims of evil inclined and demonic beings up to no good. "A haven, but never a place to forget the enemy." Forgetting such a threatening force would surely compromize the safty of this place. Vigilance if not also occasional militance would be required

Amitiel The angel did not physically nod, but the sense of their agreement could be felt. Amitiel was very much all for a militant approach to dispatching the demonic threat, as they had been for so many eons.
Still, the safety of the people of the world below was also very important - especially those of Eokia.
"I wish to reveal ourselves to the denizens of Eokia..." they said to Vessa. "Would that be okay?" Empyrean Angel neutral Good | ageless | genderless Loner。

Amitiel would have chances to be militant, but taking on a force like necropolis would surely be disastrous if they rushed ahead too fast. They would need to prepare before becoming too involved, honing their defensive and offensive capabilities into a powerful sword, and perhaps gaining allies.
Knowing exactly how weak and short lived they could be, it worried Vessa to see those on the Eokian continent as potential allies, but she knew they might still find help and support from the living. She brought her attention down, watching the world from a bird's eye view, seeing the places she knew and places she had never seen while walking the earth herself. She remembered her time there, both as a local guardian spirit and as a living being, dark memories and light.
"We can let them know of us." She answered slowly, keeping her thoughts deliberate and closer to a mortal pace as she considered how the eokians might view such a thing. "But with care, as other gods do call lands and peoples upon Eokia their chosen." Vessa didn't worry too much about that as long as the two of them showed enough acknowledgement to those other forces. "As for the peoples themselves, we won't see a united response. Word from respected figures will be more well recived than our word for a while. There will be many who distrust direct sign from the heavens after necropolis's strike." She would have, during her mortal life. There were also seeds of evil to be aware of, both remnents of the attack and of forces which had been on eokia from long before. Vessa could practically see them now, shadows surrounding persons and places where dark forces had lingered for a while. Vessa was well equainted with at least one of those forces. She complicated how those might be addressed. Jay
