A pout crossed the frutsial's face since bunny was being denied. "Bunny." shiren repeated firmly. She actually wasn't thinking of the creature of the lepus genus. bunny was more of a nickname Shiren gave others sometimes, and other times a word she simply liked to shout at random. Bunny was an important word.

Poba was amused at the time of the critter as she repeated the word so easily understood. The woman was the farthest thing from a lagomorph, or rabbit, though why argue with the young animal? "If you say so, then it must be," she responded softly, seeing no harm in playing along. "Do you like bunnies?"

Shiren hummed in confirmation, although the chance of ever hearing her say the word yes was out of the question. Bunnies were..., well too bad she left her giant stuffed animal one behind somewhere. It was too hard to carry while often changing locations at Snek's whim.

"I see. They are fantastic little critters," Poba concluded in her soft voice, with a small nod to herself. She realized things were dragging out, but the creature did not seem as suspicious as before anymore. Perhaps she could be granted permission to stretch her legs. "Is it okay if I come closer, Shiren?"

The child freed her paw from the large marble, and threw a twig between herself and the humanoid being who spoke like the beasts. It fell between them, rather close to an accurate half way distance, maybe a little closer to shiren than to Poba, but not by much. "tvere!" Shiren determined firmly, deciding that she didn't want Poba to get too close yet, since poba was so much bigger than her. Recent experience showed bigger creatures to be a bit on the grabby side if allowed to get too close.

"Do you want me to stand or sit by the twig, or stay where I am?" Poba asked gently, attempting to do her best to understand the action and the strange word. The firm tone of the child definitely meant that she was not to come within touching distance, but just what could the stick mean?

Shiren blinked. She couldn't really answer that sort of question well. 'Yes/no' questions were easier to answer than 'or' ones. "Twig" Shiren Managed to say. At least that was not a too difficult word to copy. Maybe that was enough to be an answer.

"Twig, it is." So, the twig was to be a marker for Poba to move. Staying low to the ground, Poba made exceedingly slow movements towards the twig. It was not too far from her, and she would sit down beside the twig cross-legged upon reaching it. She held onto the meat and placed part of it back into her pouch, while still firmly grasping the other.

There was that smell again, the smell of flesh of some kind but which shiren had not been sure of. Shiren pulled her nose completely into the weeds and scratched at the ground. Aww, she couldn't find any near by bugs. She balanced for a moment on her hind paws, poking her head above the grass and weeds. Nothing. She flopped back onto the ground, almost intentinly landing hard as she re-clutched her precious glass marble. "Mango?" She asked wondering if the stranger had seen any fruit anywhere. It would probably be misunderstood, since when shiren said mangoes sue meant all kinds of sweet fruits, but real mangoes didn't grow in this climate very easily.

The question was an interesting one. Mango? No, she had none of that with her. Only a few dried berries and other fruit she had gathered. Poba re-opened her leather pouch and felt round for her pear, before drawing it out. "No mangoes. I do have a pear, however, if you want it," the snowy-haired person answered the critter, offering her the fruit she herself may or may not eat.

"MANGO!" Shiren exclaimed, deeming it ok to scamper out of hiding in an attempt to snatch the pear away from the humanoid figure. Of course it would be easy for someone so much larger than she to keep it away from shiren should the bear-person desire to.

Poba released the pear as the critter-child snatched it from her fingers. "That's for you," she chuckled softly. "It is a pear, not a mango. But you may call it that if you wish."

Shiren dashed back to her hiding place. Thankfully her large marble had not rolled away in her absence. that would have been a disaster. The child crouched behind it so she could make sure to catch it if it decided to roll, and sunk her teeth into the crisp fruit. To her it was odd, with a taste not unlike an apple, but the texture was definitely more grainy that she was used to in a fruit, but still sweet, so what a wondrous thing.
