When shiren looked up from her food, she noticed...the paint had moved. There was yellow there too now. that horrible color. The child frowned, wishing she had some paint of her own to 'deal with it' with.
The child picked up her food, bag, and padded around the edge of the room, towards the other door, since she figured she ought to go on if she was to get out, that or find a wrecking ball. If she had the means to knock the whole place down, there would be no more problems. She threw a food package at the yellow spot, might as well cover it up at least, and hope it wasn't spreading like the red was.
Then she tried to force the other door open.

It didn't take long for the little Minccino to realize that walking down this path seemed to take forever. Eventually, her injuries proved too irritated, and her hunger persisted to the point where the chinchilla gave up on running away. No one was following her anyway, the girl must have stopped caring about her a long time ago. Instead, the young Pokemon sat down and spit out her goodies into her arms and tail, which helped keep her treasures near her.
The chinchilla gnawed on the wrapper of the candy bar much like how she did the first one (Which she did grab as well). Seeing as she really didn't care about how the wrapper got in the way, the chinchilla spit the garbage out and began munching on the old candy bar. The chinchilla looked around to make sure no one was there to try and take her food from her, but the fact that the lighting was creepy and the hallways were endless didn't really bother her. She'd continue walking once she had a bit of a rest.
However, once she finished her first candy bar, her brown eyes seemed to catch what looked to be some kind of door. She wondered what was in there. Maybe a place to hide? It was only a few paces away, so the chinchilla stuffed her food back in her mouth, leaving the wrapper behind before nudging the doggy door to see if it would open.

As the chinchilla dove with arms and mouth and tail full into the flappy door, and the child stood and opened the regular door in an attempt to escape the paint, the two might find themselves staring eye-to-eye. The second the two had stepped fully into the room, if they did at all, the doors would disappear behind them, leaving only wall; otherwise, the routes behind them would remain open, though the human may find her particular room filling quickly up with red and yellow, and the walls of the chinchilla's chosen hallway slowly closing in on one another.
Well, maybe they would have easily seen each other, if this next room wasn't so full of furniture. It looked a bit like a den, with a cozy fire flickering in its bricked-up place, couches and recliners set up around a coffee table, bookshelves bulging full with books, and even a miniature refigerator humming about in one corner.
The room was full of warm browns, oranges, and reds, soft shag carpeting that even reached halfway up two of the walls, all of it combining to make the room feel altogether rather cozy.
There was even a man in one of the recliners, newspaper shielding the upper half of his body as, presumably, eyes scanned the contents. A very normal voice grumbled up from behind the paper, obscenities mixed with complaints about the duo that now found themselves in this new room.
Behind him, there was a window, a soft breeze rustling the curtains, its glass clearly open to the darkness of the nightly outside.

By this time, Shiren had eyes only for the way out.
As soon as she spotted the open window, the child made a beeline for it, climbing over furniture or pushing things out of the way if need be in order to get there in the straightest possible line. She didn't really see the chinchilla nor did she heed to the stranger in the room.
She was too fed up with this weirdo sort of place, to bother looking at the details of anything except for enough to take the shortest way around over or through the furniture obstacles in the way, She'd gotten her food. She didn't want to waste any more time here.

Upon realizing that the little girl was suddenly in the same room as the Minccino, Miju instinctively tried to retreat into the door that she entered, only to find that the door was gone. The chinchilla grew tense when she turned to face the girl in order to avoid any possible attacks that may have been thrown her way, only to find that the girl was gone! Miju glanced around the room, watching as she made her way to the window almost instinctively. There seemed to be a sort of danger that Miju wasn't aware of in this building. Though she had a feeling if she didn't take this opportunity to leave, who knew when the next one would show up, there was still the fact that the girl would be outside, and she would be in there.
Now, the strange man that was in the room was someone that seemed to concern the Minccino, if only a little. But as long as the chinchilla kept her eye on the man and he didn't do anything, she couldn't care less. Her instincts told her it was much more important for her to eat at the moment than to sweat stuff like this. Aside from that, if it proved that the man was someone to fear, then she was certain she was fast enough to avoid danger.
So, for now, since that psycho girl seemed to be out of the way, the Minccino decided to sit back down on the ground and do her best to refill her emaciated form. Though her choice of foods may not be the best for Miju health wise, it wouldn't do her any better getting any more starved than she already was. Now, tails crossed, hopefully she could finally eat in peace without some crazy schmuck coming and ruining everything or worse.

There was much protest but little effort on the man's part to stop the girl, save for a belated flailing of the arms as her shoes pressed into his chest and face. The window creaked as she approached in haste, as though threatening to close, but it did not, and within moments the girl would find herself outside.
Whether it was the outside she wanted was up for debate --tonight at 9, in fact, on channel 8.
Though the stars shone down on her, tall walls of crumbling brick rose up on all sides of this apparent outside. There was a tree just outside the window, with a few more doors and windows dotting the walls in some darn cooky places -- out of reach, to say the least...just like the human's escape! The walls looked impassable, but the decayed state in some parts of the wall might just provide a somewhat dangerous, if climable, way out.
Well, maybe. - : 3 c ~
"Dumbass." The stranger's rough voice echoed out from behind the rustling branches, his newspaper crinkling as he fixed it to begin reading it again.
However, for a moment his eye was caught by the other stranger in the room -- the small gray animal. A much older face than that of the other human's, perhaps in his seventies or so, he squinted down at the furry chinchilla as it began to eat its fill.
"Damn rats are everywhere these days...," the man grumbled, before finally returning to his paper.

Shiren looked around, there were ways she could go from here, but she didn't want to try and go inside again. She just wanted to be back where she belonged. Maybe there was a way to get out properly from here.
In order to investigate, she griped her bag of food carefully and began to climb the tree.
Her bare feet helped her find footholds in unlikely places, and hold on despite using only one hand to climb, so that she wouldn't drop her shirtfull of food.
If she could get on a roof, maybe she would have an easier time going where she wanted to be, especially since she'd be no longer trapped within confusing claustrophobia inducing walls.

Should the girl manage to reach the roof -- for which there was nothing directly stopping her -- she would find herself stepping onto said top to find...more walls. More things to climb.
Giddyup, li'l doggy.

The growl which arose in the frustrated child's throat was unnaturally feral for a human to be making. Why couldn't this place act like a normal location ought. Why couldn't she go home.
The girl sat on the roof, clenching her hands until her palms hurt, though she did not cry. Crying never got her anywhere.

From out of nowhere, a muddy brown rat the size of a cat would fall on the girl's face, head, or shoulder; if it missed, it would likely fall to the bottom, perhaps bouncing off the lip of the narrow roof, with an agonized squeal.

The child screamed, a piercing harsh cry, that could hurt the ears of just about anyone close by. Being on the roof, the only thing definitely near was the rat.
Shiren flung it away from her, slipping on the roof in the process.
She tried to catch herself, bare feet and hands grasping at the surface to no avail. Gravity took over. The child fell, desperately trying to grab onto anything to slow herself.
Lucky for her, the tree was close enough to catch a hold of. It slowed the fall, but did not stop the child from hitting the ground hard.
So many scrapes and bruises. from this. Her hands and feet stung. Her arms were covered with fresh scrapes. Her head and back hurt. The remaining plundered snacks were spread all over the ground as well along with the filthy shirt which had been used as a bag. ugh.
Shiren groaned and began rolling to try and get back on her feet.

The rat seemed to hit its mark, only to be flung off the roof regardless. It offered up that agonizing squeal, flipping over in the air to land, unharmed, on all fours, tail up in the air like a cat.
A shadow grew over it, and the rat scampered away before the child fell on top of it, disappearing into the wall under the old man's window as though a hole were there, though none could be seen.
The old man heard the crash, briefly turning his head to see the collapsed child, and insult her once again: "Dumbass." Then he rustled his newspaper and returned to reading it, while that same giant rat shot out from underneath his feet, its eyes on the chinchilla's prize.

For several minutes whilst the girl was trying to make her escape, Miju was able to chow down on a good portion of her food despite her incapability of opening them properly. As much as she was initially suspicious of the old man, it seemed all he wanted to do was stare at his paper, so the Minccino was able to put all of her attention on eating.
But the time she'd started eating her fourth treat, if the one she ate in the hallway counted, it became quite hard for the emaciated Minccino to eat much more. She forced herself to eat a fifth one just for good measure, but it became clear that eating all of this food while her body wasn't doing so well wasn't going to be easy.
The Minccino almost jumped out of her skin at the sudden screaming, which only continued as something seemed to fall off of the roof. Well, if Miju was more accurate, then she'd notice that it was actually two things that fell off of the roof. Miju flinched as she heard a person falling and coming into contact with tree branches on the way down, and then proceeded to cover her eyes with her ears and tail when the girl finally landed on the ground. Yikes! That sounded like it hurt.
However, Miju perked up instantly as another intruder seemed to speed its way into the room. Miju's ears lowered as she soon realized that it seemed to target her food now. As fast as the ran seemed to run right at her treasure, the Minccino only took an instant to stuff her remaining goodies into her cheeks and bolt for the window.
The little grey rodent didn't even care about the walls that surrounded them. She was far too busy trying to get away from the rat that was trying to get her food. Running past the girl, Miju dashed up the tree targeting the roof as her escape from another threat to her prize. Could this poor Minccino ever really just get a break?

Shiren slowly rolled into a squatting position. Slowly due to her soreness the child began picking up all the spilled food, gathering up the packages with their crushed and battered contents so that she could stuff them in her shirt bag once more.
There was a small problem though. As she held the shirt up to tie it, shiren discovered that the thing now had an extra hole in it, a nice big one that that. If she tied her shirt into a bag again, the food would surely fall out.
She guessed she should finish it all here and now since there was no way she could carry the food for later now, and she didn't want the other animals to steal it. She should check for damages to herself as well, but no way she was going to seek medical help when this place seemed confused as to what way was out.
She stuffed the crushed and melting contents of packages in her mouth until she felt both sore and slightly sick. Thanks to the dryness of the snacks she felt very thirsty as well, but she didn't have anything to drink. With the occasional squeak triggered by the irritation of a wounds from the fall, she re-donned the ruined shirt and gathered up the remaining few snacks. She could easily carry what was left in both hands. What a shame. She hoped she could get out of here before she got hungry again.
She looked mournfully at the sky and stood up, crossing her arms against her chest. No way out there.

The rat hissed and lashed its tail as the the chinchilla ran, food in tow, and shot off after her in pursuit. The old man grunted and groaned when the chinchilla ran up the chair and over his head, and with his newspaper batted angrily at the rat when it did so, as well.
The rat ended up flipping out the window, hitting the ground awkwardly in a way that caused it to become stunned for a moment, before it rose to its feet and shook itself, nose flicking this way and that in search of where the chinchilla had gone now. Finding that her scent led up the tree, the old cellar rat shuddered at the memory of its fall. Turning around, it disappeared back into that same spot in the wall.
The closed yard creaked at the human, and the tree tickled the chinchilla with one of its leafy twigs.
