Eden was a soothing place to the girl's nerves. The sights and sounds made her joyful, and being with her uncle was the best thing that could ever happen to her. There was a bounce to her steps and in her eyes, the world seemed to glimmer. All of the colors shined so brightly to her. "Uncle! Uncle! Look, look!" Winter pointed to the scenery beside them in the city. There might be rats, snakes, and danger lurking in every corner of this place, but Winter could look past that all. She was determined to look within and find some ray of hope beneath this dirty, glum hellhole.
They passed by vendors who sold many trinkets. People with covered hoods with hushed voices of what life was like in the Sanctuary. Stands were filled with cotton candy and crepes dotted with every color of additional flavoring. The sky was bright with snow falling slowly. Everything was going to be all right. She could feel it. "Can you get me something, Uncle? Maybe they'll let you have one for free since I'm here!" spoke Winter happily in her white dress.

Having Winter by his side made his day all the more better. He would awake and see her smiling in that little white dress of her's. She was a little ray of sunshine that seemed to brighten his day, make him smile like he never did around others; a genuine smile. She would smile at him and he'd melt, wanting to buy everything in the world for her just to keep her smiling like she was doing just now. He was currently hovering his hand behind her back but not necessarily touching it, in a protective manner. Xerxes glanced around, eyes narrowed slightly and a serious look crossing over his face. When Winter began to speak he turned his head and stared down at the young girl by his side with a warm smile. "Ah, you're right! Of course, anything," he responded warmly and placed a hand on her shoulder. The one eyed man began to walk towards a stand which sold crepes, leading Winter with him hopefully. Xerses stopped when he stood before the cart and turned to face Winter again. "What would you like, Winter?" he asked with a tilt of his head. She was a godsend to him and he didn't know how lucky he was to have such a precious girl by his side. Xerxes glanced towards the owner and just with one look he was begging for the crepe to be free. Of course, he'd pay for the dessert later, but for now he wanted to make Winter's statement come true.
