And poof! His vision went blank for a second and suddenly he was looking at a completely different scenery. A much quieter one, and with some living people around. No demons. Good signs. If the teleporting rescuer was still there by the time Roy got his bearings straight, he would have told him, "Thanks for that, before he set the girl on the floor. Knowing people would start freaking out at the black stuff covering her body, Roy preemptively tried to ease the others' worry. "This thing is the only thing keeping this woman together! Do we have a healer here? She's not going to last long without help."Boy did he wish these people could actually understand him.

She could have joined the fight against the demons but gazing into the rivers of time had shown her the best results for the city were those which came if she didn't intervene in the battle. Instead, she had deemed it best to become part of the medical force, a mysterious lady garbed in white and citrine-gold, who at the moment was helping one of the wounded to drink from a leather water skin.
Eventually she stood, proving taller than many of the humans here, slender and long of limb. Oddly she seemed shorter as she came closer, though honestly not by much. Her feathery light weight hair caught the slightest breeze.
She knelt, placing two finger's along the wounded female's neck. "This one is destined to move on." She explained softly, switching out of the Eokian tongue to the one being spoken by the stranger with ease. "The only thing to do is not prolong the suffering of the flesh." Vessa could see as many could not, that even if she spent the necessary power to save the life, the woman would not thrive for long.
She caressed the woman's face, tucking loose hairs behind the woman's ear and closing the woman's half open eyes. When she removed her hand, there was only a peaceful-looking but empty shell. Nameless

You can't save everyone. That is a constant in life, but the mention of destiny irked the otherworlder. This person in front of him, while admittedly had the beauty and the voice, already didn't feel like someone Roy could be nice to for a long time, but he was going to give her the benefit of the doubt, given that these lands could very well be running on a completely different code. Fates, destinies, these are just excuses to Roy. Sad ones at that. Just reasons to blame something other than their own shortcomings and failures. "That's a shame." What else could he say? He didn't care much for the dead woman he brought here. And if he knew this was all he spent his time for, he would have stayed and had his fun demon-hunting. Instead he had this downer ending. A bummer. Roy knelt down and put his hand on top of the dead woman's shoulder. The black material receded from her body and returned to Roy's body. He didn't want to leave anything of his that he could still use, but he left the nanomachines keeping the woman's face looking well-shaped instead of caved-in. The slight crookedness of her limbs, along with the numerous wounds she suffered didn't need to be completed with that feature. Roy flicked the blood from his palm and stood back up, looking at the woman. "What is this place?"

"Eokia." The woman answered, her attention segwaying to another of the many who had ended up wounded from the attacks. Quite a few had ended up with truly nasty wounds. But the woman continued explaining what she could even as she worked. "Its one of the hyper-magical realms of this world." She explained. "You ended up at Sol, one of the more technological cities in the area, while this is an emergency campsite a few miles from the city."
