A rather androgynous youth of maybe 17 years walks into a 'tattoo parlor' in a place that is not quite reality. He has his hands behind his head, and glances around examining the inky shapes of the place. They have the quality of a smudged block print image or a monotone ink drawing, with vague shifting levels of detail depending on how he examines the scene. He is clearly the most solid thing here, the only being who actually looks 3d, the only thing that casts a natural shadow.
It was like that outside too, and as a being who was used to the laws of reality, Sem certainly felt out of place.
The building wasn't uninhabited.

There were once two demons. Once two demons with opposing, yet complimenting powers. Most of the myth is lost, filled with dust, but all of them agree on one thing–these two were bound together by very powerful spell, forced to live as one being. These demons could not synchronize with each other, and were doomed to spend all of eternity clawing at each other, trying to get the upper hand, but always failing, as they were equally matched. What the myths don’t take into account was that there were not outside variables in their ring, but once there was, it wasn’t possible that an agreement could be made. Two eyes, one gold and the other blue appear in the shadows, glowing. Most of their match had not been on this physical plane, but when Sem entered, there had been a split-second moment of unity—Something new had arrived. That split second was enough. “Who...who are you? What are you?” Forgive them. The first few moments of stability is always disorienting, especially when two have spent millennia clawing at each other. If one were to attempt to try to see a form around the pair of eyes, they would see a dark-flaming shape, adorned with what could be bracelets and rings.

This wasn't what Sem had expected to see. lots of things were unexpected in this place yet Sem had expected some continuity from the woodblock print black and white style of the space he had entered, and it's residents. The black and white tile floor, The barber shop style chairs, the pictures of designs littering the walls, were all 2-dimensional and looked like they were printed in ink.
The thing in the 'shop' however...
It had easily as much color as he did, and was more shaped on form too whatever it was, a strange dual being, which both fit and stood out in hard to place ways.
The human-like youth leaned precariously backwards, lowering his chin to turn his own amber eyes at the thing that had made it's 'nest' here. "What am I? I'm Sem" To the living singularity that encompassed both his name and his species. Beyond the one syllable name, there was no better answer. "what are you?" It was a new sort of being to Sem, not like 0, who might as well be a peer, or a real flesh and blood human, like he was made to emulate. Sem didn't normally deal with 'demons' at all.

“We–we are–“ Abomination was one word that came to their mind. That could scare the other off, though. “I...am a demon.” A name, of course. “Sistayan.” A combination of their names. Something like Sem was new to them as well. With their combined knowledge, there wasn’t many things that they had never seen. You could say that curiosity was what keeping them stable.

A demon? Alright. Sem absentmindedly wondered what it might taste like, but shrugged the thought aside. He hadn't come here looking for food. Sistayan should be safe as long as...as long as sem's nature could be kept contained like it was supposed to be.
The humanoid singularity had wandered to the right side of the black and white chamber, poking at the images of patterns made in ink. Suddenly he growled and pulled his hand back as though burned, particles of the hue-less landscape swirling about him until they became absorbed.
Sem narrowed his eyes as he rubbed one wrist with his free hand. He was going to be likely to destroy anything he touched today wasn't he? That was seriously no good. "So What'a ya here for?" He asked, reasoning that the demon didn't come from this place originally. "Me? I came here looking for some stuff but its no good if it ends up like that." He gestured to the now blank portion of the wall on the right side of the entrance. It could have ended up worse he supposed but Sem was still far from pleased. @abyss
