Aruna The forest must have been screaming at me, right now. I definitely would have been, considering the heavy levels of mining hauls I just dumped onto her floor. Poor Gaea would have my head, I was sure of it.
Let's hope it would be after I loaded up the cart.
I eyed the many, many piles of stone, crystal, and other such resources gathered. Containers full of fuel-efficient liquid, stones emanating magical power, and of course, many troves of other such things I was able to procure.
Poor mining drone was out of it, though, so I was expecting to do all of the work myself.
No use griping over it, now. I was used to getting my hands dirty.
So I started the trek with two armfuls of haul. The process was simple; take some of the materials, trek up the side of the rocky cliff, get to the vehicle at the summit, dump the haul into the back, come back down, rinse and repeat.

Harpy couldn't mine. Couldn't produce the sort of strength needed to attack rock with a pickaxe without hands to grip the thing. Doing it with her feet wouldn't have produced enough leverage for the job, so she couldn't help her mistress with the heavy work up there.
Harpy could however, try to carry stuff too. A backpack or satchel was hard to fly with, impossible if it was too heavily loaded, but it kinda helped.
There had to be an easier way to port stuff uphill.
Aaanyhow... the little bird-girl had gotten to the top in the time it took her Mistress to take more than a few trips. She set down the bag, which thudded heavily on the ground. Oops. She looked at it forlornly, wing feathers dragging against the ground. She'd have a hard time getting that into the back of the vehicle now.
Nothing left to do but try and pick it up. She bent down and tried to support the thing under her wings, but it wasn't really working.
Now why did mistress need all this stuff anyhow? it probably wasn't something the bird-brain could understand.

Aruna "Come now, Harpy, elbow grease," was my response to the girl's attempts at helping. Poor thing couldn't even lift one of the rocks. Meanwhile, I was on my second trip.
Trip two of... goodness, maybe thirty.
"Get five up the hill and you'll get a surprise," my voice didn't carry any excitement at the prospect; I wanted to coax her, not reward her for mediocrity.
But, from all of my experiences, that was usually how it went. Four-armed humanoid Neutral | 50 | Female

"Yes'm. I'll do better." the harpy answered both dutifully and dismayed. Wings were never made for this kind of work, and even hybrid wing-arms were not really for generating vertical leverage. It made for a difficult time trying to lift the rock even before accounting for actual physical strength, which honestly wasn't much. Still the dull-feathered bird was honestly trying. She just wasn't able to get very far very fast.
When she did finally manage to start moving the rock parcel, it slipped out of her grip once more. When the harpy tried moving this time, it was cleat she had a problem. some of her wing had gotten stuck. She didn't really verbally complain. It hadn't trapped anything with had actually hurt, but she did start pulling to try and get herself unstuck. "Mistress... a little help?"
