The mouse nodded at the cat's words, lowering himself into a comfortable sit upon the rocks.
It was too bad the feline didn't like fighting; he was good at knocking the mouse down. Or was that just poor fighting on the rodent's part? He couldn't be getting rusty, could he...?
"So, are you hungry?" he asked, grinning mischievously. Being a plump little mouse, he was sure his own body must be tempting to the predator; surely the other's hunger could provide another fighting opportunity for the mouse, but, as the cat had stated, he didn't much like fighting...as with most predators, he assumed it preferred easy meals, and by that point it had probably been figured out that the mouse himself would be too much of a hassle for a quick snack. The mouse added, "I noticed you prowling around," in case the stranger thought to try and lie, hoping the mention would deter deceit. What other reason did a cat have for sneaking up on a mouse?

"As I said: Wild instincts. While I can think for my own, sometimes my wild side kicks in, going back to instincts of others of my kind, which can lead to not thinking for hunting, finding water, the sort. Just like how you had instincts earlier and tried to run away from me, instead of fighting." Taige said.

The mouse's ears rolled back as he narrowed his eyes at the feline's words.
"I didn't run," he huffed, one hand lifting to his hip, the other waving nonchalantly in the air as he quickly put the maneuver to thought. "Instinct, impulse...whatever, man -- my brief departure was none of that! T'was all part o' my genius fighting tactics...but then ya went and wussed out on me."
The mouse then stood, crouching down on all fours, another mischievous smile creasing his lips as he whipped his tail about teasingly.
"Unless ya wouldn't mind another go. Don't blow no air out yo' ass, then I won't flare up my tail, and we can have a fair fight. Without yer wind, I bet yer a terrible fighter," he taunted. "Would right kick ya in the schnoz, I will."

Taige chuckled. "How do you know if I have other powers or not? By only specifying one type, you wouldn't' limit my other abilities, which you might or might not know about." He said. "Besides, a fair fight wouldn't be fair because I was made to be a hunter." He said.

Slowly, he began to rise back up on his back two feet, muscles tensing; he was getting tired of all this talk, and didn't intend to let it go on for much longer.
"Aye," he said with a smirk. "Nor do you."
Taking the last statement of his opponent being hunter as a challenge, he once more threw himself at the feline, leaping high into the air and hoping to pound down, HARD, on the stranger's face. Briefly, leaves would cease their rustlings, their green paling a couple notches, as force was chanelled into his haunches from the surrounding energy, enough that would produce a power strong enough capable of knocking the cat off his feet, should the mouse's attack hit.
