Rain fell over a large swath of the eastern eokian coast, a storm from the south rising up, and spinning in a fury. It had grown in strength over the open ocean, and had hit the land hard, causing damage in the form of felled trees, flooding and the like.
From the window of a guard tower, Izune watched the rain. This was the type of storm that soaked anything it touched within seconds. She didn't like it much. It was never fun to end up so wet. The bakeneko placed her elbows on the window sill. Why did it have to storm now. She had things she wanted to do.
A sharp change of winds blew rain into the tower. The youthful humanoid feline. Brought her arms over her eyes and retreated from the opening with a choked off yell. She didn't need anyone to know that she wasn't fond of the rain.
She shook the water droplets off of her they left small black stains on the wooden floor. Dislike was replaced by curiosity and the curveless young-looking yokai bent down to examine the marks the rain left on the wood. They were definitely darker than normal rain, was it some kind of sorcery?
She touched the water with a slender finger, deciding she might as well taste it. It didn't taste much like anything, but it smeared like watered down ink.
The door slammed below. Perhaps someone else had come to take shelter from this storm. The female glided to the stairs on bare feet, making not so much as a creak from the floor as she peered down to see if she could see who it was.

Morulex Eokia. Not exactly the favorite land of most Amalgan. But, even though the majority of Amalgan were mostly drawn to humans, the more adventurous traveler types were prone to visit, and, Mor was no exception. He might not have been to Eokia in a couple of centuries-at least by his perspective, considering the Amalgan ability to time travel-but, he was sure that it would still at least make for at least one interesting adventure.
However, quickly after he had arrived, in his true form, he found out that he had arrived during a storming time, anddd, the rain smelled just awful. He had started to run, using his Air Manipulation both to help him travel faster, and to shield him from the rain. Finally, after a couple of minutes, he had stumbled upon a large tower, that he hadn't even known was there before in his haste to escape the weather by land! He quickly ran inside, and then proceeded to shut the door behind. Sighing heavily, he began to use his Air Manipulation to start drying himself off, including his wings. "Well, this is definitely quite the interesting storm...I don't think I've actually ever seen anything like it.", he said, having not noticed the young yokai yet.

So there was someone who had entered, quite an anomaly based on what Izune could see from the floor above. Her vision allowed her to see pretty well in the little available light but, she was not sure about the other. Luckily the place held oil and lamps, but Izune didn't want to use them unless need be. She dropped down the steps, taking them all in a leap, and landing on her feet, though she kept herself to the shadows except for her eyes which reflected the available light, like any cat's would. "This is typical for the rainy season on the coast." She answered smugly. "Except for the color at least."

Morulex He couldn't help but yelp a bit, as he started hearing a voice talk to him, instinctively getting in a defensive stance, wings fanning out, and claws becoming unsheathed, until he finally spotted what looked to be a glowing pair of eyes. He started to relax a bit, sighing, tucking his wings back in, as well as resheathing his claws. Well, judging from her eyes, he was guessing she was either some sort of neko, or some other type of magical cat being. "Well, most of us Amalgan don't usually tend to come to Eokia that often. But, yeah, the color and smell of the rain was what I was referring to mostly. It's probably some sort of dark magic..." He went silent for a few seconds, before shaking his head, and chuckling. "Where are my manners? Morulex. My name is Morulex. You?"

So it was a foreigner race. Even though Izune was sheltering in the shadows, the young teenage-looking girl wrinkled her nose at that, but didn't comment. It was his cake to slice how he pleased where he went and when and how much time he spent there. Hopefully this stranger wouldn't meddle where there were sensitive rats to catch.
She grinned in the shadows. "Dark magic huh? sounds fun." The idea of messing with evil-inclined powers and causing sinister effects on the environment as a result definitely seemed like an entertaining experiment to the feline. "Maybe I'll have to brave the rain and find who cast it. They deserve my praise." her words were a bit of a tease. She didn't think she would be braving the rain yet, and since it had an unusual scent, tracking down some rogue warlock or devious mythical beast might be difficult by scent. Yet the yokai did have a devious streak when she was in the right mood.
"Name's Izune." The humanoid girl slipped out of the shadows, revealing herself to be not all that scary, average sized for a human female, slender, and lacking any feline traits except for her reflective gaze. "yoroshiku ne." roughly translated as 'nice to meet you' or 'please treat me well' though her tone was ever so slightly condescending with typical feline superiority.
