"Oh?" Tsuki asked, the pitch of his voice rising slightly as the single word question. So Choushin had managed to ascend prematurely. He was mildly curious. He'd hoped to see Choushin become truly talented with what he was capable of. The interactions of the past had proved little on that regard so he wondered if Choushin actually had the experience needed to back such an ascent.

Choushin didn't respond as he held out his hand. He was focusing his mind and energy onto creating a portal to the world that Kai was in, using his memory of her to help fuel the energy to get it to where it needed to take them to.

Unfortunately the nature of that very world would not allow such a portal to be made. Choushin could perhaps create a place from his own memories, and reach that, but such a location would not be the same world he had visited before but one that was similar, like a parallel universe. Such a world would be completely limited by Choushin's knowledge, a fantasy where all the characters born in that world would only say and do that which Choushin imagined them doing. For this was all that other world had ever been, a shared imagination, an elaborate fiction created by the Illusionist watching beside him.

Choushin soon frowned. "That ain't going to work." He said as he then began to remember more about it and reach it that way from his mind and memory alone, and not creating another way to reach it. He was going to create such a place around him, mostly to show Tsuki that he could be a good illusionist too.

Well the landscape rippled and changed. The accuracy and potency would depend on Choushin's ability to focus and maintain the details. (Its your ballpark, you can describe Choushin's success or struggle on the matter)
Tsuki provided no tips, nor criticism nor help for the time being, simply observing. It took a lot of mental control to make and maintain a mind-illusion consistantly.

Choushin had relative ease with changing the landscape and added the village Kai was in. What wasn't working well, however was the other humans and beings outside of Kai, since he really didn't see them. It would be fine from a distance, but getting close would reveal muddled or similar details among them all on the other people he was creating.

Time to throw a switch in things, see how far Choushin could go with this. Could he keep this up, even when other factors were thrown in?
Small hands made an attempt to push choushin from behind.
If Choushin turned around he wouldn't see Tsuki. Instead there was a boy of about 12 years old, human-like except for the reddish brown ears and tail to show that he wasn't. In stature he was skinny like tsuki, and looked like he'd get pretty tall when be got older. Yet his clothes matched the style of the village ahead. "Hey what are you doing just standing there with a weird face?" The boy asked accusingly.
Since choushin uad created this illusion, and had not created this boy, perhaps Tsuki had decided to help populate the place, or perhaps he had entered in disguise to fit the world created. The boy looked very real whichever it was.

Choushin had created what he thought was here, and when he got pushed by the little boy, he turned around to look at him. "Meditating and focusing my mind so it won't cause anything bad." He said to the child with a smile. He had a hunch that Tsuki was doing this, and just rolled with it.

The youth gave a toothy grin. "you mean so you won't cause anything bad right? Minds don't to nothing on their own."

"It depends on the person, child. A lot of people can use their minds to hurt or help others." Choushin said with a small shrug.

Exactly. He'd said 'people' which meant minds themselves were not to blame.
"Well you're too worried about something bad happening." The boy pointed out. "race you!" Such a swift change in topic. the youth was already running towards the village.

Choushin laughed. "You're on!" He said, changing himself into a fox and running after the boy, knowing he was quicker like this.

As the powerful fox gained ground enough that the boy could see him to his side, he realized that he could not win this way. Well if one fox could use shifting to win his battles, so could he. The youth leapt to all fours on the next bound, taking a more ordinary form for a fox both in size and features. He didn't habe the longer legs that Choushin had this way, but he still managed to pick up some speed as he veered towards the village.

Choushin wasn't surprised that the biy changed to a fax. After all, he did look like a fox. Choushin was still gaining speed, catching up to the boy, both to ein and to see Kai again.

Aww shoot. He was going to loose wasn't he. This opponent wasn't like his own friends to whom he was better matched, or some of the father-figures of the village who might go easy enough that he had a chance too keep up.
Anyways. They were nearing the village.
If choushin wasn't being careful to update how things looked as he went, it might end up looking like a zoomed in version of a photograph in the distance, possessing too little detail to be believeable at first.
