It has been a rather long journey towards this new outpost. Well over 1,000 lightyears away from Einaku's homeworld, The Citadel was meant to be the largest trading starport in the entirety of inhabited space. And it was just one more jump away until...
WARNING. FRAME SHIFT DRIVE STATUS CRITICAL. DROPPING OUT OF HYPERSPACE. Suddenly, Einaku's starship pops out of hyperspace and enters an unknown planet's atmosphere. WARNING. THRUSTERS OFFLINE. Observers in the forests of Eokia would see a long, orange streak of light across the sky, trailing dark smoke behind it. Seconds later, a loud BOOM is heard from the apparent crash site of this unwelcome vehicle, in the northern savannah. SYSTEM MALFUNCTION. POWERING DOOOOWWW...As the wreck's system's power down, the cockpit window gets launched from the ship, propelled by explosive charges. A surprisingly small humanoid only a meter tall is exposed to the open air, unconscious. ((This image is for visual reference only and does not depict current status.))

What was it? A meteor? A comet? Of those who saw the falling objects questions quickly arose, especially for those who had recently seen other things falling from the sky. Rumors were already spreading of end times and unnerving change afoot. Fortunatly this place in the north of the land was not very close to the locations of the other ground shaking arrivals. Maybe there would be people or cretures here who had not heard about the other man who fell from the sky or even the demonic attacks which had been raveging the world at large.
There had been a break in the warring, and shadow had taken this opportunity to seek the help of old friends and allies from various reaches of the continent. The furry male had some friends nust about everywhere due to connections he had forged before Black had brought shadow forcefully under his claw. It was because of those friends that shadow happened to be close to the location of the unidentifiable falling object, and lest it be more of the terror from before, it was necessary for the mamalian dragon to investigate.
Shadow rolled his shoulders to adjust the feel of the armor on his back and check to ensure his weapons were ready before he approached. He did not approach as an attacker, for he had faith that he could react should something be threatening, but approached carefully as he recognized the scene. The object reminded shadow of an airplane but one significantly different than that which he had encountered during the wars. He flattened his long ears. Was this a new ploy by sanctuary. Need someone be sent out to see what they were up to before Eokians were doomed to endure another attack. Was it some kind of test weapon? Shadow took a breath, gathering energy within his chest in order to destroy the ship, but paused. Something was there and it wasn't human at all. It was too small to be human, and too much like a bird or reptile or dragon. There had been bipedal dragons before. With a huff, shadow came closer and use his claws to try and gently drag the survivor out of the crash zone first. He better check for other life too, before he destroyed the odd vehicle.

Upon Shadow's observation of the ship, it appears to have only enough room for the pilot and a small amount of cargo. No other signs of life can be seen in the wreckage, though the symbols on the ship seem to imply it's a part of a small fleet. A decal declaring the pilot's membership to the Raikira pack can be seen on the side of the vessel, the atmosphere having almost scorched it off entirely. There do not seem to be any decals declaring allegiance to this planet at all, let alone Sanctuary. If Shadow left the survivor behind while inspecting the ship, he would be greeted with the survivor pointing at Shadow's head with what appears to be an advanced gun emitting a loud whine as it charges up. The survivor then speaks. "Who are you, and what do you hope to do to my ship? Answer now, or risk death!" His four ears are all flat against his head, and his snarling visage shows a wide array of sharp teeth.

Shadow narrowed his focus on the small creature who had survived the crash, his nostrils flaring for a moment as he took in information provided by scent. The dragon did not feel threatened enough to speak immediately. it wasn't just the stature of the little alien which made him hard to take seriously, although that played a fair part. Shadow had seen these sorts of weapons before. It needed to be handled immediately. The dragon moved suddenly, spinning to sweep his barbed tail at the weapon in order to hopefully hit the gun away from the alien. After removing the weapon shadow might explain himself.

The gun is violently thrown from the newcomer's hands, crumbling to pieces after falling on the ground. This new fellow is looking a little more nervous, as if this sort of thing just doesn't happen. "...I see you've made your point. I, uh... I've still got these drones that can shoot you full of holes!" He flashes a wicked grin, but no drones arrive at his aid. Instead, the ship croaks, "DRONE CONTROLLERS DAMAGED." Now he just stares at Shadow, obviously running low on tricks up his figurative sleeve. "...I would appreciate it if you wouldn't touch my ship, please."

shadow looks unimpressed and slightly annoyed. He speaks in a steady frank tone, that is not quite a monotone, but rather close to it. "its surprising it can even bark that. In order to keep questions from being raised, or from it being modified into something that actually works here, its natural for me to, as you put it, blast it full of holes," yet shadow didn't move to do so yet. but stood in a ready to move or defend or react if need be posture. "I'll give you a chance to convince me not to."

"I never intended to land here. You see, I was en route to a trading outpost roughly five hundred light years from this planet, and for some reason, my Frame Shift Drive managed to fail when I was above your planet. That's what caused me to suddenly appear in your planet's atmosphere and plummet to the surface. If I can fix this, this ship will be my ticket off-world so I can finally return home. Without this ship, I'm doomed to be stuck on this world for the rest of my days. Again, please don't ruin my ship. It was very expensive," the alien explains.

"you won't be able to fix your ship here. the very air interferes with stuff like this. keeps it from working as intended." shadow explained frankly, he was no technological wizard but he was far more versed in this stuff than many dragons. he wasn't even overly confused by the technical explanations this little alien had come up with, although he also didn't know what much of it meant. "If you can fix it to work here, it likely won't work well back home, so you're stuck here anyway." he added grimly. the only sure way to get out of Eokia via technology was to travel outside of the continent first, and then fix the stuff.

"Are you saying I may be stuck here until I leave the entire continent? Oh boy. I guess I might as well set up camp around here." The alien hops back into the cockpit of the ship. Loud shuffling can be heard before the alien reemerges with armloads of fabric and tent poles. "I am so glad I packed for something like this. They told me, 'Oh, Einaku, there's no reason for you to pack as though you're going on a camping trip! Einaku, there's no chance of you becoming stranded!'" He quickly begins setting up his tent, using his ship wreckage to support some parts of the tent. Not long after he started, the tent is almost fully put up. "Say, what was your name? My name is Einaku, head engineer for the Raikira pack." Einaku offers a hand to be shaken.

shadow might seem to be amused at the little guy, setting up camp here that was funny, especially since this guy relied on equipment so much. if any of it had magic in it, it might be better off, but of course it didn't. "are you seriously planning to stay here? when your stuff doesn't work and you look like a bite sized snack?" shadow asked rhetorically, for the moment forgoing introduction. "someone not so nice is bound to come across you. The least you could get is a proper roof over your head."

"My species was the apex predator on my homeworld. I'm sure I'll do just fine, at least for now. I mean, unless you could think of a better place to stay for me," Einaku added. "Before my pack managed to leave the colony, we lived in tents just like this one, albeit without the jump-ship propping it up."

"Well, you're clearly not Apex here." shadow pointed out with a huff.A small thing like this bipedal being probably would not stand a chance against some of the more feral, or less discriminate creatures of the land. In demonstration of this, shadow swept his tail to knock over the newly pitched tent. "If you truly want to keep it, your ship needs to be moved too. Soon as someone else find's it, they'll take it, or destroy it." Shadow muttered some strange words to display some magic. If it worked the ship would be gone from sight as though it had been pulverized. the ship however would actually be no less intact than it was before. It would simply be elsewhere no longer at the crash site. this magic wasn't shadows area of mastery however, so it could fail. There the ship would not vanish but the damage already done to it might become aggravated, causing already weakened points to break further.

Einaku's ship disappears while Einaku was crawling out from under his disassembled tent. He gasps for air and stares wide-eyed at the sudden lack of a starship wreckage. "What did you do to my ship?! I thought I told you not to destroy it! Now how am I going to go back home?! I can't just go out and buy another ship!" Einaku is hopping mad, baring his teeth once more. "Do you know how difficult it is to find a ship with that jump range?! It took me nearly a decade to upgrade that thing!"

Shadow wasn't phased at all by the little Alien's anger. He allowed himself to be ranted at without a word for a little while. Eventually Shadow grinned. "do you know how difficult it is to find a broken ship here let alone one that might work?" he asked, not expecting an answer, nor allowing much time for one. "you're ship's no worse off than it was when I found it, but it wouldn't be for long if it stayed here, so I moved it." this wasn't the whole story as to where the ship was, but shadow suspected there would be time to explain more later. He glanced at horizon momentarily. "Gather up your tent and come along before it gets dark now. we'll move it somewhere where it's not begging to be attacked. and put you somewhere where you're not gonna be the first one to follow."

Einaku breathes a drawn-out sigh. "I guess you have a point." He bundles up the tent poles and wraps the futuristic canvas around it. While he's tying off the loose ends, he asks "Where are we headed?"
