ABILITIES / WEAPONS:
Reimu possesses the ability of levitation and flight, as well as the capability to use increased speed- to the point where it may seem as if she can truly teleport around an area. She also has a heightened defense against energy-based attacks. Under most circumstances, defeating her with energy moves takes considerably longer than using the typical physical weaponry such as firearms or melee weapons.

She isn’t very much aware of it, but she’s the last survivor from a line of shrine maidens. This inheritance gifts her with the innate potential to work and communicate with deities, and do other things such as the sealing away of the supernatural or performing blessings. Unfortunately, as it stands, she is ignorant of this fact and as a result remains untrained in such a practice. It doesn’t help that her natural chosen God doesn’t exist in this plane of reality, either.

Reimu unfortunately lacks very many methods of potent self-defense, and what little she does isn't always carried on her person. She possesses a Yin-Yang Orb that is bound specifically to her due to her heritage. She can levitate it around herself, firing beams of energy through it or using it as a projectile. Only during very specific occasions will she actually carry this with her, however, primarily due to the fact it's a big giveaway towards her supernatural origin.

PERSONALITY:
Reimu tends to carry herself with the demeanor of someone that’s solved other people’s problems one too many times. At first glance, she can seem rather lazy and casual, much preferring the idea of relaxing with some tea instead of facing the issues someone of her aptitude would have to deal with. Some would say she’s intelligent for her age, if a bit headstrong. Though her initiative isn’t always the best, once she gets into the swing of things, she’s likely to chase her goal with a vigor that leads to her being unable to take “no” for an answer.

She’s nice enough when dealing with her peers; even going to show quips of witty humor with those she’s grown accustomed with. Most notably, Reimu is known for being indiscriminate with how she treats people-- very rarely will she judge a person based on their race and species, but instead will judge a person based on their actions. One would say this leaves her vulnerable to deceit and manipulation, and she’s well aware of it. She tries to go by her better judgement, but it isn’t always foolproof.

When it comes to combat, she’s almost always willing to give it all she’s got in order to win- though she isn’t always super aware of her own power level, leading her to sometimes become somewhat reckless in her combat maneuvers, potentially endangering allies or going a bit overkill on her opponent.


HISTORY:
Reimu comes from a world unlike the one she lives in now; a world where the supernatural roamed freely and she was expected to help uphold balance between demons of old and the humans that were just trying to live their lives.

Unfortunately, that life is but lost on her now-- serving only a distant, vague reminder that there is always more than meets the eye to existence itself.

Reimu found herself within Sanctuary roughly before the age of twelve, raised and guided by those willing to help an orphan such as herself. Eventually she found herself wrapped up in the likes of Eden, giving her a purpose to stand by and believe in. She helps the forces of Eden when she can; willing to assist both the supernatural that end up in their ranks and the humans that are trying to understand what they are. Reimu often has to go through necessary means to assure she isn’t pursued and captured by the Authorities, but this aside, it is not unusual to find her trying her best to blend in and mingle among Sanctuary, citing that she’s unafraid of the repercussions of just trying to live her life.
