It was raining.
A light morning drizzle fell on Sol Invictus. He didn't have to look up at the sky to tell that the clouds were dark, and the rain was likely to fall harder later in the day. Most other beings seemed to avoid it, for reasons he couldn't quite understand. They would do anything to avoid getting wet, many even habitually carrying around special tools to ward off the rain. Those didn't seem popular here, but he could sense people in the town beneath the cliff he perched on scurrying around much faster than usual in reaction.
For Sol, this was one of the few pleasant things about his current state. Though being so small often made him uncomfortable, it did bring about an important change. He could touch things. Feel them, just as he could now feel the rain.
He laid down on his chest and thinned the walls of his aura to the point where small pores formed in it, invisible to the eye. They let in just a trickle of water, which turned to steam and evaporated off almost instantaneously. To Sol, the sensation was bliss itself. With hardly a care, his body expanded to nearly double in size, increasing his surface area while his horned head poked off the edge of the cliff.

the rain didn't bother the man from another world, in his land rain meant better hunting not only for creatures but rare earth mineral if you have the eye for it. tokara was scaling the cliff near the town with a pick and rope not having a harness, his left shoulder was still busted up from the war but none the less the man was still scaling with one arm. How could such a man scale such a cliff easy when he created his on footholds with the rain water and his affinity for ice. the man scaled it much like a spider. freezing his hand to the wet surface along with his feet and knees. He came to a spot where he picked at the cliff face, chips feel off. "ahh blasted its only iron ore, not gonna get that out with this... hopefully the vein starts at the top." while looking up the rain obscuring much of his vision as once again he attempted to ascend.
there was the sounds of rocks falling tokara looked to the side to see a bizarre animal. but obviously a predator species of some kind stuck on its own out crop. it was wounded and angry lookiing for a way up or down. "what luck, meat and leather...." saying that as he begins to scale over to the beasts out crop.
