The school was a rather fancy and immense one; unique, and different from the public schools that the girl had come to know in the past. It was next to a beautiful, crystal-clear, recreational lake, and at night, shone brightly with the neon colors of the city. As a result, it earned its name. What its name could have been before that; she did not know, and could only muse and speculate.
However, she quickly grew bored with thinking, and turned her attention to the entire reason she had walked from her home to the schoolyard on a Sunday. The sports games were over on this field, and nobody else was around. The scene was silent and peaceful, except for the sounds of the city in the distance... which she was ready to wage war on. Yes, she brought her ammunition- a backpack of fresh and fun fireworks that her dad had allowed her to buy. If the family went out to the countryside, they would be fun to use, but it had been ages since that was suggested. She was growing tired of waiting, as the trip would likely never happen.
Faye decided against taking all of the fireworks, but decided to have some fun on her own. Many of her friends were with family, or at church at this hour, and likely would be gone all day. Really, she only wanted to test out some of the fireworks and share later. If successful, she would wake up the neighborhood and perhaps hear some sirens in the distance, due to the fireworks being illegal within city limits, and especially so at the school.
Pulling out a medium-sized artillery shell, the brown-haired teen set the launching tube up in the middle of the soccer field. Lighting her punk stick, Faye carefully lit the mortar, and dropped it into the tube. Instantly, she was bolting away, moving at least ten meters away from the sound of sizzling from the mortar. Once she estimated she was far enough away to be safe, the girl whipped around just in time to see the explosion shoot from the barrel and travel up into the sky, to release a loud boom and festival ball that was bright orange in color. Absolutely beautiful. Time for another!
