He hadn't been harboring any intentions with Izune, but it stung him that she spoke in a way that still, somehow, felt like rejection. As usual, when he felt hurt, he felt like killing something, an urge that had taken centuries to learn to effectively suppress, but incurring a need that would have to be fulfilled soon.
"If you go and kick something nasty that rots your legs away, don't come running to me, wondering why such misfortune came upon you so inexplicably." It was the best he could muster, without stooping to a personal attack. Maximillion was a sensitive soul, and his feelings were easily wounded. A dark, dense, miasmic aura of black-purple radiated around his form as he walked, now opting for silence. He was scorned by his Family, back on his home plane of Tyran, for being so 'volatile' and 'sensitive', so if he could, he would suppress any and all signs of his displeasure. However, the bloodlust that now radiated around him, like some kind of murderous predator stalking prey, gave away his emotions.
Even if his overall battle experience and raw power were greater than Izune, if a situation came where a cool head, indifferent and irreverent was needed, Izune would likely be of greater help than Max would be.

Izune smiled, pleased to see how she was pushing Max's buttons. The guy was such a simple tease that it was nearly tragic how easily she could get a reaction out of him at times. "Oh I won't run to you, no worries about that." She verbally prodded, her tone making her amusement apparent even if he wasn't looking at her anymore.
Izune tilted her head towards Kenessa. "Coming?" She offered to the human, even if the invitation would be refused. "If not, stat safe out there." Izune waved as if this was a goodbye, which it might be, but she would not worry at all if the girl didn't come along. People got themselves in danger all the time after all. It was too much energy to actively care for them. Jay XARXU (OOC)
