Brush guessed this was something Einaku would have to see with his own eyes so she decided not to comment. The look on her face of disappointment proved she had heard him. Magic wasn't science. It was a force, where the effects could sometimes be calculated. (where science based magics like alchemy cam in to play) Brush could even sense magic so she had even more reason to believe in it.
The Alien asked about where his ship was. Brush listened to the question, then shook her head. "I don't know what he did, so I can't guess."

"Oh, that's a shame. I was wondering, usually when I meet new people they ask me some questions, often they're like 'Why did you come here,' or 'Could you please stop scrapping our ships like that,' or 'Why is your packmate playing such loud music so late at night.' Why aren't you asking me more questions?" Einaku inquired.

"Maybe I'm not that nosy." Brush answered. She smiled slightly, amused though she still looked like she was more sad about something. "I'm also not really in the mood to ask all those sorts of things." she admitted. Since the death of draco, the destruction of the territory, and the fact that the tribe seemed to consist only of rose, thorn brush, and maybe her dad, if he counted, and was planning to stay near this time around. Shadow often was away from the tribe, acting as an outcast in some ways because of his past as one of the enemy groups who had been in the area. Shadow was more of a free agent now but, those things which had been done were not easy for anyone to forget.
Speaking of whom, the male dragon climbed out from the scar in the earth made by the tribe's late crazed leader. He looked a bit sullen, but still kept his expressions carefully controlled. The search in the underground had been... disappointing. Much of draco's horde was worth little to those who needed no money. Shadow had taken some anyhow for what he thought could be useful, but the things that mattered most, Much of the tribe's library was ruined. Enchanted objects were broken, and in some cases, parts were missing.
Rather than use magic to transport the items, shadow carried them in a sack he had found while searching the dark space. A lot of the horde had counter spells on them to prevent such tricks as the one shadow had pulled with Einaku's ship.
"We should move out." The dragon said without preamble, "All the tribe who can come. This place is no longer suitable to live." It had been the home for brush, and rose, and many others who were now rarely seen if they visited at all. Now it was as good as a wasteland. Rose was very lucky her home had not ended up so harshly broken as the surrounding area, Yet the damage near by would surely be a constant reminder of some of the bad things that had happened here, and the sad of the good events which would not be able to come again for a while. Shadow didn't want his child to live in a place like this. He might not want to admit it. Shadow bet that brush would refuse if he didn't include the rest of the tribe in the offer. Of course Einaku was included as well.

"You mentioned something about leaving the continent in order to get my ship working again, right? I don't want to sound rude by asking for you to help me leave this planet as quickly as possible, but my packmates are probably already out looking for me among the stars, and I know this sort of thing is draining their sanity and mine. Where exactly should I go to get my ship fixed?"

Shadow glanced at Einaku, his eyes narrowed and his features taut. He was annoyed, for shadow had many more concerns than simply sending Einaku home. From his point of view, Einaku was not in immediate danger here, so the matter of getting him and ship back home was not as urgent as the little alien was treating it. "If we can figure out where you're from, and how it relates to here, Sending you and your ship back via magic will be a simple matter." Simple, but not easy, for if the universe which Einaku came from was truly without magic, no one would be able to come with him to troubleshoot if the magic went wrong. Some species lived and breathed magic too, and asking one of them to accompany Einaku would be like asking someone to commit suicide should the place have no magic at all. Einaku might not believe in magic, but there were some species here who would die if they went a universe which magic couldn't exist in. At the very least if someone came along they would be as trapped as Einaku was now. shadow was not keen to answer the question of where Einaku could go while on this planet. The place was not welcoming to most Eokians, and there was no garentee that Einaku would even be welcome there, for they seemed inclined to study those creatures they didn't understand. As a guess based on how he'd acted so far, knowledge now might prompt thd small alien to do stupid things.

Rose had fallen silent, her large eyes merely taking everything in. She watched Shadow, feeling Thorn shift about in her mind at his presence, but he did not wake. She turned her attention to Einaku and nudged him gently with her shoulder. "Unfortunately, we do not quite have the ability to help you get home right now. We will be glad to help you... but we must first do a bit of helping for ourselves." She looked around, face falling at her surroundings. She took a deep breath and waddled closer to Shadow and his bag, looking up at him. "This is all that remains of the library and the hoard...? I... have some things to add." She waddled off again, careful of debris. She paused at the entrance to her home and sighed. "Off I go again. I'm sorry to leave you, but there are things to do and a family I have taken great pains to be with... I am going to stay with them and do my best to care for them." He murmured softly to the tree as she went down, trying to move quickly.
Some of her more helpful and rare mushrooms went in her pouch, and she carefully sorted through her junk to find the few artefacts she needed to take from this place. She returned to the surface, a large beaded necklace around her neck and several small artefacts held in her furled wings. She waddled contentedly over and deposited them in the sack with what Shadow had been able to recover. "I never found anything too powerful on my travels, but those might be helpful along the way~" She smiled faintly and glanced around, eyes lighting upon their new friend, and offered him a very unsolved Rubik's cube. "And that is to keep your curious brain busy for a moment or two..."
They were down to herself, Brush, and Shadow, who didn't really count. Einaku seemed intent on leaving, but as long as Shadow had his vessel he was bound to come along. Rose settled herself next to Brush, thoughtful. She blinked slowly. "It's a pity I don't have any maps of Eokia... although all my maps were in the caved in section, so its a little late for that I suppose." She lifted herself up onto her hind legs, lifting her head into the air, feeling... something. She looked at Brush. "Well, we have an opportunity I think. We get to choose somewhere new to put up shop... and it's a little scary and exciting... and sad..." She looked at Shadow as she moved back onto her wings, humming. "The daemons were eastish of here, right? The opposite way sounds like a good idea." She smiled warmly, but her eyes did not mimic the smile.

It wasn't all, but it was all that could be salvaged at this time. Maybe later shadow might come back and try and excavate the ruins, but it definitely was not a current priority.
Rose said she had more to add, so shadow set down and opened the sack. In it were several books, a goblet, some jewels, a broken gem floating in a jar, an hour glass, jewelry, some gilded weapons snugly sheathed, some coins and some odd contraptions that seemed half scientific, but were missing quite a few parts. There was more, but those were what could be identified by looking down into the bag.
Shadow was a silent sentinel while he waited for rose's return.
Brush peaked in the bag. She recognized many of the objects Inside, including Dracostar's broken gem. Brush knew several shards were missing despite the effort to protect the shattered object. There was one bigger piece than the other shards and brush thought she saw a glimmer of light from within the shard. Brush looked behind her, in case the light was a mere reflection off something, but she saw nothing which could have caused the appearance. When she looked back it was gone. She moved away from the bag so that rose could stash the extra items.
"The demons attacked near the city Akuzeth." Shadow reported confirming rose's guess "they handled it well, and are in better shape than this place. " yet shadow had reasons for not bringing the tribe near there yet. It still looked like a battle ground in many ways, and it was where he'd done some things he wanted to talk about in his own time rather than press the tribe into facing.
Now where would they go. Brush had a pretty good idea of what was around the territory near by for the tribe had adventured quite far from home when she had been younger. "Vessa's territory is in the east, but it wouldn't support a whole tribe for long. Plus I heard she had some misfortune too." Brush thought aloud, taking inventory of dragons who she knew might still be about. "We might be able to find salia too, and I met Nazali the other day...so its not... Just us..." The whereabouts for anyone else were unknown to brush. She'd seen a lot of changes in the tribe but this one was hard on her. They had never needed to move before.
Shadow had an idea but he wasn't sure how the tribe would take it. "There's blacks place. Most of it's empty now, and your step dad's been keeping to himself lately." Black had stolen shadow's mate for a bit so the guy who had caused the tribe pain for a while had ended up related to brush through that. Would the memories there be worse than the memories here? Shadow wasn't sure but it would definitely be a safer more livable place.

"If you want to find out where I'm from, Shadow, I'm probably going to need some star charts, along with the name and spectral class of the star this planet is orbiting. I can try to get a rough classification myself, but I'll need the proper tools to go further. Last I checked, I was... roughly 500 light years away from my destination, which also means I'm roughly 500 light years away from my starting point. And again, as magic is simply science that has yet to be properly explained, I'm sure things would go just fine if you transported me back home. However, 500 light years is a long distance for anything to go, and I'm not sure if I want to be scattered in a million tiny pieces for a few years just waiting for the transport to finish. You know what a light year is, right? It's the amount of distance light travels in a year, assuming it doesn't go towards a black hole..."
Einaku stared at the Rubik's Cube for a moment before remarking, "Oh, a Rubik's Cube? I haven't seen this sort of thing in a while! Well, not intact, after Kazuni tried to solve one. After 15 minutes, she threw it at a wall, shattering it to pieces." He laughed. "If you really want to keep me busy, I think I can make something with some flexible and stiff branches, a long measure of a strong vine, and a decent amount of flint. I basically have the blueprints for it in my head, I just need materials and some basic stone tools."

Rose tilted her head from side to side, taking in suggestions from her tribe and milling them around a bit. "Finding some of the others would be... it would be very good..." She hesitated and then gave a very gentle nod. "It might be a good place to rest a while before we get too far ahead of ourselves." Rose was immediately distracted by the small alien's speaking. She blinked at him and then glanced at Brush, and then back at Einaku. She weighed a reply to him and hummed gently. Anyone who was not channeling the energy of a god would be unable to send the alien even halfway back to where he had come from. "You do not understand magic in the slightest, but it really must wait until we are a little more settled later. For now..." She gave a wave of her wing, indicating the broken forest around them. "The forest provides, my friend. There is a collection of odds and ends in there," She indicated what had been her tree. "And you are welcome to them." She smiled brightly and then went back to the matter at hand. The alien had arrived at an unfortunate time, and the Tribe really could not afford to be sidetracked...
What little of the Tribe remained.
She sighed and sat back, rubbing the side of her face with her knuckles. "Black's place will have to do I suppose, unless there are any objections...? I would offer what remains of my home, but my remaining tunnels are certainly all too small for anyone bigger than I to fit... And my sleeping quarters were most of what caved in." She gave a nod, as if reassuring herself. "Alright... I take it you know the way, Shadow?" She looked at him.

"actually...I've done some traveling across alternate universes before...." Brush offered. She'd been taught by one of the souvesian dragons, who had been the creators of a different planet which existed on a different plane. "You don't get scattered into millions of parts. That'd just kill you." maybe some versions of teleportation worked like that, but the magical versions didn't usually rely on that sort of rule. "I've never tried to go anywhere that doesn't magic, but I've definitely been a long way from home." She didn't measure things in lightyears. the magic she used relied on going to places in-between places for some locations. These in between places were outside normal time and space, so far distances could be considerably shortened. Brush wasn't bothered by distance so much as the lack of a magical signature in the location. Knowing where a place was on a map wasn't always enough to get there. "If we go to the city later, I know someone who knows the stars pretty well." she also volunteered. "he might be better for long distance magics too." The dragon brush was thinking of really did have power near that of gods. Not going to the city, they would be going in the wrong direction for now. That was a trip that was at least worth taking a whole day for, and they didn't have that now.
"It is a simple trip westward" shadows answered. "Not far." In the past dragons from the elite had often bothered the tribe. Having become similarly absent of members in places, the place was definitely not an active threat now. None of the dragon's would have trouble getting there on foot or via flight. Einaku might find the trip hard if he wasn't used to this much foot travel of course.
The male picked up the bag to signal being ready to go. "If you want to tell tales, you three can talk." He allowed. Such activities didn't interest him very much at the moment.

Rose gave a soft nod, humming. She did not voice her concern that their visitor may simply be from a place in their universe that they could not magic to. However, if he was crossing dimensions as well, the likelihood of getting him back in one piece might be a danger to himself and anything else. She twisted her head gently to the side to get a crick out of her neck. She gave a gentle bow of her head to Shadow. She understood the way he felt. Her usual pep and excitement was beyond her for the most part. Thorn had killed the enemy with little discrimination, Dracostar was gone... really gone this time... And Thorn slept, leaving her with the fallout. She rubbed her face and hesitated. It would be quicker if they flew, but it appeared Einaku did not have that ability. She put a smile on her face and settled her neck gently so that her beads lay in a comfortable place on her neck and chest. "Alright. Stories and walking it is~ Let's do it~" (Can't promise to show up any more frequently on Discord than I do here, but I can try. )
