SHIREN Somewhere, in a land close to the far south west edge of Eokia, where islands were closer to the borders of other lands than to Eokia itself...
In front of her was water. On the left was more water. On the right was more water. The only place water did not seem to be was behind. Shiren kept as much distance as seemed safe from the shores, keeping trees and sand between herself and the big blue monster. For some reason, the snake had told her to stop here and wait. Shiren didn't really understand why her current guardian had decided on this place. There was simply too much water for it to be safe.
The land around held no comforts. The trees were not fruit bearing. The little creatures who lived here seemed to be hiding or out of reach. Shiren had already tried to poke a few she had found. They ran away instantly, and were not colorful enough to chase around. The only thing interesting at the moment, was the long scattered leaves on the ground.
The furry four legged child, no larger than a small cat decided that since she did not know what to do, and could not go anywhere till her guardian snake returned that she'd use the leaves for something. She had an idea in her head, but she didn't have any words for it.
One at a time Shiren picked out the best leaves. They had to be soft. the dry ones wouldn't do. They had to be slightly green but not too green. Most of all they had to have no holes or tears. If there were holes, or if they were the wrong texture or color, they were trash.
Soon shiren's perfect leaves formed a small pile. Once she had enough, she could work on her idea.

The familiar scent was sweet to Tsubomi. Why? Because she could recall it quite well as the smell of something cute. Her last encounters had not been so fortunate, however, as something either irritating, frightening, or both had befallen her at the time. Was the small creature a child of misfortune, or had those unlucky events simply been coincidence? The purple dragon followed the scent, and soon began to hear the shuffling of a smaller creature before her.
Peering at the small, violet critter from the tree line, Tsubomi lowered herself to the ground, ready to pounce the adorable creature. This time, she was not going to get away! The mythical could take the child back to the Tribe of Ancient Stones, and keep her there, hopefully, and perhaps even have the child grow accustomed to the grabby dragon and the beautiful persian-styled palace where they lived. Was that too much to hope for?
Tsubomi sniffed the air, searching first for the sharp scent of reptile, and kept her crimson eyes peeled for the scales of any snakes. Snakes were horrible, and the last unfortunate events had been caused by the squamates who typically kept close to the winged frutsial for some reason. Not this time... Having readied herself, Tsubomi sprang forth from the tree line, and attempted to pick up the small creature with nimble fore-legs in a tight and loving embrace. She purposely tried to avoid touching the neat pile of leaves that the child had put together, out of basic respect... even if the act of tackle-hugging was quite unruly. "I wondered where you ran off to. You're mine now!" the mythical would say happily, if she successfully managed to pick up and hold the creature.

As soon as shiren was touched, it brought out a terrible screech from the child. The sound could be heard from one side of the shore to the other, and was loud enough to carry quite far. That Shiren did not like being touched was an understatement. The fluffy little child hated whenever someone touched her unexpectedly. It felt terrible, inspiring a frantic need to escape the clutches of whoever thought it a good idea to grab her. The only contact Shiren might tolerate was when she initiated it, or when the perpetrator was not only someone who she knew but who knew Shiren well enough to know to take it slow, and to back off if shiren began to panic.
Panicked she was, bringing shiren's iconic clawing, flailing, and biting. The child had no aim, except to shred whatever was embracing her, to loosen the grip and slip away so she could flee this scary uncomfortable hated situation. Shiren could not tolerate the larger creature's grabbiness. She hated being squished and this lack of control. It was completely unacceptable.

After all of Vivian's official "ambassador duties" were completed it would be only a few more days until her knights had their return plans finished and she'd be forced to leave. In the time that it took for this she usually tried to explore as much of the surrounding area as possible with one or two of her knights with her. This trip was no exception in earlier that morning Princess Vivian and her Knight Matthias had left the city then had been staying in an went exploring. The land was beautiful, not like Rifal but beautiful its own unique way, with unfamiliar creatures and landscape that kept Vivian on edge as she tried to take in everything around her. They had been out for what seemed like forever when suddenly a sharp pain shot through her skull like she'd been shot, she knew she hadn't though as the pain was all too familiar. Matthias rushed to her side in concern but she brushed him off explaining it was just the cursed blessing.
The two continued to walk and Vivian did her best to mask the pain from her knight. She knew they were moving closer to the source of whoever was causing her pain, but she was much too curious for her own good. Once they had got just close enough to see two creatures through the trees another shot of pain went through her this time it was so painful she let out a scream and wrapped her arms over her head, as if to sooth the pain. Matthias rushed to her side once more only this time he had his back to her and was watching the two creatures through the trees, clearly concerned how the would respond to the sudden scream from a newcomer

Shiren was too focused on getting away to hear or heed a distressed stranger. The panic was real for her. Contact she hadn't initiated at best sent a shiver down her spine, and at worst, it could be like being dipped in scalding water, or name your own most hated sensation. Being held was therefore terrible.
Shiren finally managed to scratch and slip her way free. The upset child would have clawed tsubomi till she was dead if not for that compared to shiren the creature was like an armored tank. Instead the child was up a tree in an instant, her ears pressed especially flat, her fur ruffled in all directions. She hissed like a cat, very upset by it all. Blair
