Come out ye black and tans come out and fight me like a man! Good, someone actually followed her out. A quick shoulder glance revealed it to be Braz. This'd be fun! Ghost hunting! Yeah!
...Hopefully there was no dangerous spirits about.
"So!" Hun stopped in front of the gas station, eyeing the wheelbarrow. It was filled with cameras...did Dopple and his partner have enough? Hopefully so, it was too late to go back and give the two some; they seemed to be heading off to do their tasks. "I guess we should get at it! The sooner we get this done, the better!"
She took two cameras and headed into the store. It was old and dusty, empty shelves and coolers lined the walls. Old adverts, old trash, old cash register...oh, a cash register! ...Oh, it seemed to have already been emptied... A shame..
"Alright, Braz! Let's do this!" It looked like having a camera in each corner would be sufficient, or maybe they could even get away with 2..? Hm... "Think we can get away with two cameras in opposite corners?" She asked, walking to the other side of the room. A camera up on the top shelf.. "Because I think this one will get everything on this side.." Hun started climbing the shelf, pausing once or twice because of a cracking sound. But hey! They successfully placed the camera without falling! "...Braz, go ahead and place another camera somewhere, it might take me a minute to climb back down."

"Yoink!" Doppler said with a grin, snatching some of the cameras as Arden and he passed the wheelbarrow that Hun had took. "Disparu!"
Tossing them into the small-item wheelbarrow, he'd then start running at top speed, this time not waiting for Arden to catch up as he rushed it down the rest of the road, ready to hasten this side of the process. He couldn't wait to get to the school...or see if there were any secret murder stains left in the medical center.
Skidding to a stop out front, he'd take a moment to catch his breath, before standing and looking around. The medical center seemed to be in fairly normal condition, considering the circumstances; it seemed to display the same regular wear-and-tear that any old abandoned would -- cracked walls, fading paint, weeds everywhere...well, there was a giant hole right next to the vacant front doorways, but he was sure a car had just plowed through it at some point or something.
Doppler pawed through the black lights, found one that worked, and, looking around for Arden, would hand it to her. "Right, so, do ya want the ground floor or top floor?" He waved a hand, trying to shoo away the big brown dog for it was sniffing at his pockets.

"I think we might," Braz would reply, sweeping the old gas station with her oceanic gaze. It wasn't too big. "Could be stretchin' it, though." In response to Hun's last statement, she said, "Okay." Braz scooped up one of the many cameras and navigated her way through the building, passing faded signs advertising long-forgotten brands. She reached the opposite corner soon enough, and stretched to place it on a high shelf. When she was finished, she called, "Done!"

Arden chased after Doppler, glad she was in good shape. She was no athlete, but she wouldn't be falling behind this guy any time soon and that's all that really mattered in the moment. She arrived at about the same time as Doppler, and shrugged in response to his question. "I don't really care... top floor I guess?" She wasn't too worried about falling through the floor, since she'd made it through okay from worse falls, but she had no idea what this guy's history was. Though, admittedly, it didn't look like the floor would be falling through any time soon... she was probably just paranoid. Nah, she was definitely just paranoid - too many stupid adventures had been the cause of that.

"All right, cool. Just, uh, set up a camera or two where you think some hauntings might occur," -- looking at the place from outside, it would seem that he didn't have enough cameras to cover the building's entire contents -- "and scan the whole floor with a black light. Look for signs of ghosts -- yaknow, maybe they leave some sorta residue or somethin?"
Doppler nodded at Arden, and with a point and a shout of "Wellleggo!" he stuffed a blacklight into a pocket, snatched a camera and its stand, and promptly took off to fall flat on his back, the camera skidding from his hands.
"Rocks!" he growled, rolling over to see that the big dog had firmly planted its rear on the crumbling sidewalk. With a grunt, he stood and chained the dog to...he looked around. The wheelbarrow's wheel connector-thingy? Yeah, that should do.
Hooking it on, he turned to pick the camera back up and look it over. The lens was cracked a bit...he was tempted to give this one to Arden, but it was only a hairline crack -- what ghost was going to hide right in the--....
Doppler furrowed his brow, the possibilities running through his mind, but went inside anyways without another thought. The top floor might have all the interesting activity anyhow.
It was a somewhat small room that the front led directly to. The wall opposite the front held a series of doors, one of them cracked open. On another wall was a glass-fronted desk and some chairs, and against the last wall were some of those itchy grey-cushioned chairs, some weird chipped-paint curvy white chair-looking things, small end tables, and windows to the parking lot on another. On the same wall as the desk was another door near the front door, metallic with a small glass window in it.
Doppler approached that door first and, stretching to peer into it, could see some stairs within. "Stairs are here," he told Arden. He jiggled the knob, but the door wouldn't budge, so he set down the camera and shoved hard with his shoulder. The door creaked, and he could feel it moving, but then it just stopped.
What in the.... Doppler stepped back and started jumping to get a better look of what could be going on on the other side.
"There's something blocking it," he said, turning to Arden. "Help me out, will ya?"

Arden snickered when Doppler fell down, after it was clear that he was fine.. "Yeah. Just a sec." She grabbed one of the white chair things and motioned for Doppler to step back before smashing the window with the chair. Said chair was now quite bent, but after a few hits the window was broken and the glass cleared out. She couldn't fit through the window, but she could stick her head and arm through once she pulled over one of the end tables. IT scraped loudly against the floor, and in total she had really made a ruckus. Well, it hadn't looked like a residential area so it was probably fine. "It looks like there's a board or something..." She said, stretching her arm down. Her feet lifted off of the table and she was just barely able to wiggle whatever it was around a bit before she had to slide back onto the small table. She almost fell, but was still holding onto the window so she managed to avoid a disaster. "Try again?" She suggested. "I dunno if I knocked it loose or not but it might be better."
ah arden, always going for the most reckless option... and she wonders why she ends up in danger all the time

Doppler watched curiously as Arden went to pick up one of those curvy white things, not quite grasping what she was going to do with it until she had reared back. The boy leapt back back, eyes wide, as glass shattered and spilled to the floor, only able to stare as she then dragged an end table over to the door. He poked a finger into one of his ears, trying to clear the ringing that occurred as a result of her scraping.
After she'd stepped up and started leaning further and further in, Doppler finally stepped forward, afraid she might just flip backwards or something, and put a hand on top of the table in a meager attempt to keep it from falling over. He flinched when she almost fell on top of him, and watched as she stepped back, offering for him to try again.
"Uh...good work," he said, the surprise etched in his voice. He shoved the end table out of the way before again knocking himself up against the door, squinting, muscles pulling themselves tight as it began to screech horribly. He managed to open it just a little more before it stopped again.
Doppler stepped back, examining the crack. "Think you can fit through?"

"Yeah sure." Arden squeezed through the gap and kicked the piece of wood or whatever it was out of the way before pulling the door the rest of the way open. Well, there was one good reason right there to stay fit - so you could slip through doors and look for ghosts. She grabbed a couple cameras and started up the stairs. "Meet back here in just a bit?" She asked/basically just stated. She didn't know how many rooms there were upstairs, but she set a camera a the top of the stairs pointing down before she moved on. she walked all the way down the hall way first to set up a camera at the end. If she opened all the doors it would at least get a glimpse into the individual rooms. Then she could go look at individual rooms and decide if they were spooky enough for a real ghost.

Doppler watched Arden go, shoving the door further open after she'd kicked down the board, before picking up his own camera and continuing back to the wall opposite the front. He slipped through the door that was already open, stepping into a wide, long, dark hallway.
Oo, spooky...definitely had to be some ghosts around here. There appeared to be two separate doors here, not including the tall, arched entryway at the very end of the hall, which was the last thing he could see before everything gave way to darkness. Doppler dropped the camera at the forefront of the hallway, near the door he'd just come through, positioning it so that it would be recording the archway, and left it there while he went back to the wheelbarrow.
The dog apparently had decided to lie down, and didn't move as he quickly picked out one of the two night-vision goggles within. He slipped it on his head before shuffling hastily through the items in the wheelbarrow, grabbing a flashlight and stuffing it in the same pocket as the blacklight. Grabbing the last of the cameras, he returned to the dark hallway, moving straight for the dark archway after leaving the second camera next to the first.
He pulled out the flashlight first, shining it around the room. It was a very big room, with doors leading supposedly to two of the other rooms that were also connected to the hallway, plus a third door that was immediately visible opposite the archway. There were beds, chairs, couches, counters, desks, tables, and all sorts of medical equipment that, for the most part, he couldn't tell what they were, and absolutely no windows. The only things he could identify were the blood-drawing machines. Speaking of blood, there was even a trash bin full of bloody bandages.
Though the blood was ages old, long-since dried, pieces even cracking off on their own, Doppler still withdrew in disgust, though couldn't help flipping off the flashlight for a moment to shine the blacklight over it. ...Shouldn't they be incinerating that sort of stuff by this time? He didn't dare touch them, and something came to mind -- if they were just leaving these things out there, who's to say they weren't careless in other ways?
His spook meter wasn't yet running high, so he calmly moved back over to the door across from the archway. Just like the stairway door, it appeared to be made of some heavy, solid metal; unlike that other door, however, this one did not have a window. Doppler jiggled the handle.
Locked. Of course. Wonder where the key could be...?
His mind went to the other two rooms, and he stepped back out to investigate.

Once Arden started to look into the rooms, she used the blacklight to get a glance at the rooms. Most were barren, probably places for patients, but she encountered one that had weird glowy bits in some of the places she shone the blacklight, so she set up a camera there. It was probably just old blood, but even that was certainly worth investigating. She began humming a bland tune as she went along, filling the silence. At the very end of the hall, she discovered that the rooms were offices instead of just patient rooms, and that they still had some furniture. Ever the curious one, she poked around in a few drawers, but all she found were some office supplies and molding papers. She read thrpugh some of the papers, but didn't really understand what they were talking about, so she stuck them in a plastic folder so someone else could try to make sense of it. The whole place felt like it could have ghosts, if such things were real, and she really woshed she had more cameras. There weren't that many rooms but she liked to be thorough even with things where she didn't really think it would come to anything. Even considering that, this room felt creepy. First of all, this room had no windows at all, while the offices and patient rooms did, even if they were boarded up and only let a bit of light in. Secondly, the door just didn't want to stay open and she'd had to prop it with a chair. There wasn't actually much in here, just some old scientific equipment, but it gave Arden a bad feeling so she set up the last two cameras to make sure the whole room was covered and headed out. "Ugh, glad to be out of that room." she muttered, having stopped her humming a while ago. "It's just dusty, that's all. Made me want to sneeze." She rationalized aloud, still under her breath. The bit of excitement had been welcomed though.

Come out ye black and tans come out and fight me like a man! So everything so far was going great! All she needed to do now was climb back down, then her and Braz could go into the other part of the building, and then the entire group could go to the hospital!
So Hun carefully stepped back down off the sketchy shelf, taking one last look around the gas station. "A camera up here, and a camera there...I think this'll be alright? I mean there might be one or two blind spots but I don't think the ghosts will stay in the same place all the time." Were there even ghosts in the building? Sure this wasn't the ~*main attraction*~, but it'd still be kinda disappointing if there was no spooky scary ghouls to be found...hm.. Could her sight work on ghosts and spirits? After all, they're pretty much souls without a body...
"Sooo, now to visit the store..!" Hun snuck back over to the wheel barrow, taking another camera and heading to the general store.
If Braz was paying attention, she could probably see a light green glow coming from the animancer before she disappeared through a door. "C'mon Braz! I think I got a good feeling about this!"

Braz was wondering not a completely different thing from Hun. Could she...eat...ghosts? It worked in theory. They were energy, were they not? And addonexi fed on energy. So...Braz could probably consume a vengeful spirit. In theory. She did indeed see the glow, but she didn't pay it any mind. She saw glows around people all the time. It was how she lived. As Braz passed the wheelbarrow, she grabbed two of the cameras, and would walk with Hun to the general store.

Light poured into the corridor when Doppler opened up his first door of choice: a glass door that held some of those beige slotted curtains over it. This room had a big window right across from the door, with moth-eaten curtains that had been left half-shut, and blinds that had collapsed to the floor. Part of the window had been shattered, the glass bits twinkling in the light of the setting sun, leaving this room as cold as the front, and Doppler wrapped his coat tighter as he began to investigate.
This room was filled with beds, closets, cupboards, dressers, nightstands, and sinks, though to him it felt a mite bit friendlier than the last room. Aside from what appeared to be a few powerless heart monitors, there was practically no medical equipment, and no bloody bandages to speak of.
Doppler rifled through the closet doors and dresser drawers, finding mostly-clean, if a bit dusty and worn, plain white bedsheets, pillow slips, and medical gloves, gowns, and masks. The cupboards, tucked innocuously away in the corners above and below the sinks, held some additional medical supplies, such as tongue depressors and syringes, in addition to a bunch of other things, both big and small, that he couldn't even begin to identify.
He closed the cupboards, concluding that medicine was beyond him, and tried the sinks to see if any worked. Predictably, their pipes had long since run dry. Curiously, however, one sink held a scalpel, that was lodged halfway inside its drain. Doppler used the palms of his fingerless gloves to pull it out, lifting it up before letting it clatter on the sink's metallic rim.
As he looked at it, his blood ran cold. The scalpel's handle held a bit of dust motes on it, but its cutting edge was otherwise...squeaky clean.
Doppler had been prepared to shout out in horror at some point, but not for THIS! Why couldn't the point have been covered in blood?
Regardless, Doppler was driven to whip out his blacklight...except the room was too bright for it, and there was no way those ripped-open curtains would ever be able to block out enough sunlight for him to use it. "Gosh darn it!" he whispered. Flicking the scalpel into a nearby wall, the boy left this room behind, carefully shutting the glass door behind him.
One room left. Maybe his luck would turn around and it would hold a key to that had-to-be-suspicious door back in the archway room? ...Probably not.

Come out ye black and tans come out and fight me like a man! The general store looked to be in worse condition. More shelves, more empty containers strewn on the ground, and much more dark than the gas station.. It was much more scary. So much so that Hun actually hesitated going in.
"...I think we might need more cameras this time! How many do you have? I think maybe 3? Two on opposite walls, and the third to capture between the shelves..?" There didn't seem to be any ghosts around.. At least not now, Hun was sure that she had gotten a feel of a ghost a few moments ago..! ...Or maybe it was something else...hopefully it was a ghost.
"Right, lets do this!" She carefully stepped over boxes and cans, headed to the back of the store. The dark didn't seem to phase her too much, it was more the unknown. What could be laying behind those boxes? What could be living on that shelf. The answer was most likely rats, but the point still stood.
"I'm...not too sure this'll work..? Braz, you got another idea or should we try to make this work?"

"I've got two cameras," Braz would offer, picking her way over the boxes that littered the floor. "Hm." She chewed on the inside of her cheek. "It seems like the best course of action t' me right now."
