A large serpentine like figured casually walked its way through the local area although his facial features truly showed his emotions. Brows pulled together to form a taunt crease and strong jaw clenching to illustrate a very prominent frown. He had been traveling for hours, both on land and by air to seek out a place that was most familiar to him. What he did not know was that the tribe that had so lovingly taken him in with open arms was no more. He stood in the very spot where everything had been destroyed but was thrown off by the lush vegetation growing around him. Hence, making him feel as if he might have taken a wrong turn somewhere down the line. The sapphire colored dragon emitted a heavy sigh as he stopped to take a much needed rest. Reaching up a clawed hand Seikatsu scratched idly at the dark onyx scales lining his throat, thoughtful. He had come to visit all of his friends and acquaintances. But perhaps they had all moved on from the little humble abode he had once called home.

There was a distant clatter, as of hardened clay and hollow wood. A human made his way through the wilderness, following a narrow dirt path between the dense vegetation, his heavily tattooed skin covered up by a myriad of bits and baubles hanging loosely around his body, from raw materials and waterskins to a bow and quiver.
The reddish brown man walked along in a slow, casual half-jog, sipping from a clay bowl that he held in one hand, idly watching the sky through the leaves. The stew inside was cold, yet the scent it held remained strong, a hefty mixture of mushrooms with a hint of meat.

The ground was rocky and uneven, leading down into a deep pit, exposing caverns and caved in passages that had long been picked clean of their contents. All summer had given plenty of time for saplings to grow tall while thick leafy brush grew in the gaps between the young trees.
Everything was damp from recent rains, but the scents of small animals, deer, rabbits and even a rogue dragon or two had crossed this way in the recent past.
The ones who knew what actually happened here so many months ago mostly avoided the place now due to the memories it held, memories now tinged with hurt and sorrow.
Except for one.
She had not witnessed the events personally but she did know what happened here. She'd been watching the area just in case someone important came by, and though not who she had hoped for, indeed one had come.
She descended, careful to take an appearance that was easy on the eyes, translucent, lightly hued, and feathered like any who knew her would probably expect her to be.
"If you seek those who dwelt here, you need only ask." a female voice spoke from behind the male dragon, picking the odd choice of greeting due to a similar offer she had left in a different place nearby, rather than a proper hello.

The clacking sound of pottery snapped Seikatsu to attention, causing the dragon to glance around his whereabouts with a deepened frown. Although he could not see the human as of yet the aroma of their strange dishes wafted towards his nostrils. A huff escaped him as he once again pushed himself to his feet, his rest was over unfortunately. There was a narrowing of eyes, glowing gaze focusing on the two legged creature walking through the area. He had never dealt with a human before. He had seen his friends use magic to take on human forms to blend in with mankind's society. But that was not the same as interacting with a born and bred human who could not speak dragon. A growl threatened to bubble up within his throat and force itself out into the atmosphere as his tail thrashed. He would remain passive at best, for the meantime albeit watchful. So as the human went about his business or meant no harm. However, his attention was demanded elsewhere as he heard an eerily familiar voice resonate from in behind him. Turning around to spot Vessa his eyes widened a tad, although he was shocked to find her here, he wondered what she meant by her statement. Ask? Everyone should have just been here. "Vessa. It's been a long time, old friend." Seikatsu could not help but to briefly think of Keitashi whenever he looked upon the translucent dragon. Shifting his weight lightly he continued on. "I am in search of the others. Brush, Raiden, Draco...heck, even Victorelle, Inno, Jay and Salia will do..."

Something flicked out the corner of his eye, and the lean human turned his head to see a large black animal, tail thrashing in the grass, gaze turned on him. His steps took an immediate pause as he stared back, body still, at least until its focus seemed to turn on something else behind it, something that, for the human, was hidden behind the brush lying between the dark beast and him.
He recognized the figure of the strange creature, reminding him of the iridescent white lizard that he'd managed to hook with an arrow. This one made odd noises into the foliage, and there was no telling whether it spoke any of his own tongues or not, or if it would even be as peaceable as that other he'd met.
The man was tempted to draw out his knife while its head was turned, but he didn't think it would help much, no matter whether this black reptile's flesh could stitch itself up as fast as the other.
It would be best if he left before it remembered he was around.
Watching it closely, he stepped off the pathway into the vegetation on the other side, trying to be quiet as he slipped in between leaves, the objects on his person continuing their racket at only a slightly softer volume. He winced at this, knowing he would be easy not just to track down, but to surprise now that he was disappearing into the dense foliage.
Eyes sliding over to a nearby tree, the man dropped his bowl of stew and, forgoing any attempt to remain quiet, quickly pulled himself up into the branches, trying to hide himself among the leaves and keep his materials still before he could be found. Not that his scent wouldn't betray him...hopefully the thing couldn't climb likewise.
From his higher vantage, the man peered through the branches, trying to discern where the black animal was now, and managed to catch a glimpse of yet another tall and slender form among the greenery.
Another one.
Well, fuck.

Piercing citrine eyes scanned the foliage with almost X-ray like precision. It was natural for the spirit to sense that there was a human near by among the presence of small animals and even the pulse of the plants, she didn't feel line the human would be threatening. She reached for his mind, trying to establish the lightest of links, though the touch was icy. 'you may carry on you way, If you have no cause For harm.' the mental speech took a form the man was likely familiar with since human kind usually thought in words.
Her attention split to the human did not compromise her ability to regard Seikatsu's request. "bad news I am afraid. Draco breathed his last. With him the tribe has scattered. Four, brush, her father, rose, and a strange one stayed at black's castle west of here for a while, but lately I cannot see that place." It was surrounded by shadow to her sight. What about the souls she could sense and locate. "Raiden, you know to follow the storms. brush is south of here..." she paused sensing the furry dragon's streak of misfortune. "You would have best luck finding her father. He is stopping at a human city to the east, on the coast. Its only a little further than the castle."

Just because Seikatsu's head was not turned in the same direction of the human in the distance did not mean he had forgotten about the him. The dragon had decided to listen out for any rushed footsteps or clanking of metal. Should ha have tried to attack him the man surely would have regretted it. However, he was pleased with the faint sounds of retreat and then, nothing at all. His golden glow turned to follow that of the spirit's as she gazed at the human in the tree. Seikatsu had no idea that she had been communicating with him, but if he had then the dragon would have disapproved of it. Call him racist, but he did not trust any human and likely never would. Then again the brute did not like a lot of things and was a stickler at best. Huffing, he listened as Vessa began to speak to him once more, nodding his head as she did so. It was a lot to take in. He'd thought that the tribe would have been around forever but everyone had scattered about so it seemed. Out of all who had been named he would have much preferred to have followed Raiden, since he could use the added boost from the electrical storms. But the chances of catching up with the elder dragon by now were slim to none. There was the mention of a human city though and that caused a scowl to form across his lips. "A human city? Why would he venture anywhere near there?" A gruff noise left his throat as he shook his head irritably. "That is quite possibly the last direction I would want to travel in."

"I suppose you wouldn't appreciate them." Vessa observed, disappointed but not that surprised by Seikatsu's resentment. It was not uncommon for many of the beast races and breeds to hold humans or even rival beast races in suspicion. "Head to the castle then. Perhaps I can send someone to you." She offered. She did not think it would be too much meddling to contact someone for him.

The human would not hear the words. Something stopped the silent speech from reaching him, blocked the beast's attempt at reaching into his mind.
The man remained in the tree, grimacing and wary, unaware that his position was already compromised, although assured that it wouldn't take long for such to be so. He only hoped that the pair would leave soon so he could eventually grab his cold stew and move on himself.

The castle...Seikatsu nodded his head a once and looked out in the eastern direction of where he was supposed to go. "Very well. I appreciate your help, Vessa." The dragon murmured, spreading out his wings, stretching them out momentarily. "Perhaps I will see you again some time in the future." He uttered in a low tone, who knew, the future was full of surprises. Flapping his broad bat like wings Seikatsu took to the skies, and began to coast in the direction of black's castle.

"the future allows it." The pale feathered dragoness replied, her body already becoming increasingly etheral. She faded away from the spot like a sea of fireflies, drifting upwards in globes of light before fading completely from sight. Now to keep her promise and make sure to contact someone from the tribe who's mind was receptive enough that she could nudge them to meet Sei at the castle.
