Not much longer and Malik knew they'd arrived. The holy energy of the plane resonated against his own in a distinctive way, like an almost harmony.
He pulled the barriers away revealing the glory of the plane. Everything was light, shining and glorious with vibrant hues the like of which didn't exist anywhere in the physical plane. If one had the eyes to see, there were visible, a beautiful mosaic floor, and the ornate walls of a large amphitheater like structure surrounding. It was open to the sky and tall spires could be seen beyond. To any who couldn't see, it was all simply bright, blindingly painfully bright in a way that closed eyes couldn't protect from. The sheer pure intensity of it could make a person feel like they were going to die if not from the light itself, than from the judgement of those who dwelt here.
When Malik pulled his light away he crumpled over. He didn't remember the environment being this intense last time. This pain was completely unexpected. Though he ached all over, worst were his head and heart, revealing....
Revealing...
He hadn't realized that he had been this wounded.
From an onlooker's perspective it was clear that the boy's energy was a mess. It was off-color, pushing towards the blue side of the spectrum when it was normally more of a brilliant citrine white. Tendrils and curls of it rose up like a fire in slow motion, burning him.
It was probably worse for abeo.
When faced with such intense purity, there was no place for taint to hide. Blair

“This place reeks.”
Those were the first words of the half-Daemon as Malik transported her to another location. It had been fairly unexpected, as she only had anticipated him moving her away from the city of Delmarsh. But now they were here, in a place she could only describe as hell.
Well, heaven in the eyes of a simple mortal, or perhaps an angel. To the Daemon who had only ever feasted on souls of darkness, however, the place was seen as disgusting, with light too dazzling and blinding, and the air thick and slimy.
Abeo squinted at first, before she adjusted her eyes to the intense brightness of the place. The barriers around her vanished, and she gazed in satisfaction as Malik keeled over. Had her own aura finally gotten to him? It was about time-- or was it simply the light of this place? She found the atmosphere crushing and maddening, but charged her own energy enough to form a sort of ‘coat’ around her. One of protection, to temporarily withstand the effects of the ‘heaven’.
Still, her warm and fuzzy coat of power could not last forever. She needed to get out of here, and fast, or she too would be suffering from the agony of the light.
“Well, it was nice playing with you, Glitter Man. However, I prefer to pick the playground, and this one sucks. So, I’ll catch you later~” Abeo chimed, thrusting her arm forward to begin forging a portal of darkness-- one that would take her home, to Necropolis. Due to the light, her power worked much slower, but she was determined to do what was needed to get away from the horrible brightness. This place was hell.

The portal didn't last as the work in process was quickly smudged out with no more effort than it would have taken to rinse away a chalk drawing. An actor to this regard wasn't seen, but the presence was certainly felt as possessing more authoritative weight than the ambient light standing behind the two of them.
"Oh dear, Lets make things a little easier on you, shall we?"
The brightness eased up significantly towards the real-world levels one might fine on a very sunny day, but only within the amphitheater-like space. Everywhere else was still too harsh too see clearly, too hostile for an impure being with any sense to wander. The change cut down on the felt pressure of the place, but it didn't remove or lessen the purity around, nor the speaker's own strong presence.
Malik felt a firm hand on his shoulder. It seemed to draw away much of the pain. "A place has been prepared for you to recover." He heard, as a voice reaching into his own head. The tone was making him uneasy while also being somehow reassuring. He didn't like it. With the touch, the terrain shifted for him, twisting and turning into some other space within the realm. It would appear like he was simply there one moment, then gone the next.
He wasn't to know what would happen to Abeo. She wasn't to know what would happen to him.
The presence still remained felt but unseen.
"you created quite the riot didn't you Abeo." A simple conversation-starting observation. Even if the daemon was not allowed to leave right away, she was allowed to speak for herself.
