For all his obsession with his image and his material possessions, the werecat occasionally found some solstice in going out into the wilds on his own. This was most definitely his feline persuasion taking over. After all, a cat who didn’t hunt was surely no cat at all, right?
It only made sense he took the form of a big feline while he explored one of the vast forests. Being blue, Kattz didn’t have much in the way of camouflage, so he stayed in the tall grass for the most part, hoping his stripes would break up his large form. He was presently on the prowl. Most of the time, Kattz found the idea of catching his own prey completely unnecessary when he could just buy something to eat. But today, he was extra grumpy due to stress at work the previous week. He was feeling mean. He was feeling dangerous. And he was feeling a craving for something gamey.
He’d caught sight of an average-looking doe grazing in a small meadow. Kattz began to stalk through the grass toward her, but, just as he felt he was close enough to make a dash:
Snap.
Someone else was here, and they’d startled the doe. The doe went running away in the direction opposite Kattz. Snorting, Kattz brought his head over the grass.
