Greetings, everybody!
The month of December is happy and exciting one, not only for the Holidays, but for the birthday of Abstract Reality! This site was founded on December 5th, 2016… and, I had no idea that it would last this long.
Because it has grown a steady memberbase, and is still growing in both development and willing writers, it has been decided that the site will take its next step forward.
Abstract Reality is being moved from the Proboards forum host to our own domain and server, powered by MyBB.
What does this mean?
It means that we will no longer be using our existing domain and site, abstractreality.boards.net
Instead, members will need to register a new account on the new site, abstract-reality.net/ to continue their roleplays and plotting.
Before you ask, yes, the old site will remain up so you may access your old bios, creations, roleplay threads, etc. It is encouraged, however, that you repost your biographies and creations on the new forum.
One week from now members will not be able to post new threads on abstractreality.boards.net, the current site. They will still be able to reply to threads, however.
We ask that you begin making your new roleplay threads on the new site.
Come January, members will be unable to make posts on threads on the current site. By this time, we expect most threads to be wrapped up and roleplay to be continued and done on the new site.
Consider this Abstract Reality 2.0’s beta test.
Change is a little scary, but that’s why we have friendly folks like Blake Acciaio or Harambe to go to when the going gets tough, at least In Character.
Out of Character, we have a lovely support team of Developers here to assist you. A Beta Testing channel will be added to the AR Discord for you to get quick responses to any questions, concerns, errors, or problems you encounter.
Support will be split into two categories.
General Support: Basic inquiries or concerns about the roleplay, rules, IC systems, community, etc.
Magic Support: Inquiries or discoveries concerning the site structure, coding errors, bugs, plugins, user CP, etc.
Blair (General Support)
Jay (General & Magic Support)

Loner。 (General Support)
maysen (Magic Support)
If you run into any issues, please use the Beta Test channel or contact one of the above Developers right away!
Have fun, everybody, and Happy Birthday to Abstract Reality!
