Ashera
Ashera is a realm in the Third Plane. The majority of Asheran angels live here and all were born here. It serves as both their home and base.
Locations
The Birthplace
The Birthplace is...well, it's the place where Asheran angels are born. There is almost always an angel watching the Birthplace, to take the fledgling to one of the many nurseries.
The Throne
Made by techniques now lost, the Throne is where the current leader of Ashera sits. It's usually an archangel or a seraph, although sometimes it's simply an older, very powerful Dominion. Whoever sits on the Throne gains immense powers.
Ashera Academy
Ashera Academy is the school for angels. They receive magic and battle training there, and their equivalent of our core subjects. Whatever they show an aptitude for is what they become the angel of. Ashera Academy also determines their beginning ranks. For example, an angel with very high marks might start off with a very high position.
The Agency
The Agency is where angels get their assignments. Some are desirable, like being assigned to guard a treasure. Others...not so much, like being assigned to an outpost.
The Prison
Needless to say, the prison is a prison. There are countless cells, filled with a variety of angels. The sentences for imprisonment vary from ruler to ruler.
The High Table
This the only power that is greater than the ruler. Lead by the eldest archangels and the original three seraphs, their power is unrivaled. They rarely assemble, and the situations where they would is when Ashera is at war, to choose the new ruler. or if the ruler is causing far more harm than helping Ashera.
The Gates
The Gates is one of the few and the main entrance to Ashera. It is rarely left unguarded. Although you can enter through one of the side entrances, it is considered gauche, unless it is an emergency.
Government
The government revolves around the ruler and the High Table. Their judgment is virtually never questioned.
New rulers are chosen when the either the High Table decides to remove the old ruler, the old ruler dies, or the old ruler resigns.
In selecting the new ruler, the High Table votes for the angel they think is best suited.
Justice
As stated above, punishments and sentences vary from ruler to ruler, but here's a general list of crimes and punishments.
Crimes
-Murder
-Conspiring with demons
-Attempting to overthrow the ruler/High Table
-Committing treason
There are things that are looked down upon/may result in social consequences, but are not necessarily crimes. These things include leaving Ashera, having children with humans, and having children with other angels.
Punishment
-imprisonment
-demotion
-temporary exile
-thrown down to the mortal plane to temporarily live as a human
