Ugh. Sem felt terrible.
Upon waking, the first thing the boy had any awareness of was the churning ache of his gut. The steady throb almost had a pulse to it, dull but painful enough to not be ignored while the ripples of movement he felt, reminded him of a typhoon raging on inside. This had to be residue from the convulsions and hunger of before, the two merging into one sensation of internal misery which Sem could do nothing to fix.
What had happened to him last night?
Had it even been last night? His sense of time was muddy. He couldn't even tell much about the time of day with the bright white lights in the room in which he'd found himself.
He tried to remember the details of his actions before he'd been put to sleep by that restraining necklace of his, but the only things to come up were fuzzy broken images. He couldn't get much meaning out of it.
Trying to move, Sem found he was bound, limbs wrapped tightly straight jacket style by a material he was too groggy to recognize. Feet were firmly clamped to the floor, glowing blue energy wrapped tightly around a cord around his ankles. As for his head, a muzzle was firmly clamped around the lower half of his face. He couldn't open his mouth around the thing, which meant he couldn't bite it so he couldn't get it off. How smart of whoever had done this.
The only thing that they had not held down were his beads, and that was because they were nearly physically impossible to grab. If anyone had tried to remove them during the time he'd been out, well that would have had very ugly results.
Where was he? Sem looked around as much as he was able with the restraints. The room was bright with light, the walls floor and ceiling were extremely white. There were some strange gadgets and drawers built into the wall. Otherwise the only thing in it was himself, fastened firmly in place by his restraints. The observations told him little. He had never been in a place like this before.
With so much internal pain, sem could not summon the power to shift to either his elder humanoid or monster forms. He needed to use at least one of those if he truly hoped to escape. In this child form, there were many things he just couldn't do.
The only other option was to wait, and hope that the agony subsided enough to shift, or he became so hungry that he couldn't stay in this child-like state.

The uniform of the general Enforcers of Sanctuary was hot and scratchy to the skin, and from what the blonde could guess, it likely held properties of protection, of one sort or another. Of course, the girl would have preferred to expose more skin, finding the outfit to be rather restrictive and burdensome overall. Why did she have to wear this, again?
Really, she wanted to take no chances when walking through enemy territory. Their technology was fierce, and rumor had it that it could even rival the power of the gods. Despite the power she had, these humans were rumored to have built protection from mental abilities, and thus immune to playing on one of the spirit’s favorite battlegrounds.
Alice was physically weak. Even in her Daemonic form, she probably held the strength of ten men, but eleven? That would be a push, should she be up against the daunting numbers. This place was crawling with the legalistic humans, who all oppressed magic and shunned the supernatural. To add to her wariness, she had seen them somehow fell the monster who had raged throughout the city, eating as much as it could and leaving destruction in its wake.
Fortunately, she had protected herself against their mass memory wiping, as the Authorities closed off the evidence, dismissing the event as a natural disaster. Nevertheless, a single cat hiding about in the rubble was easily overlooked, while blue eyes watched as they picked up the small, unconscious kid with pale fluffy hair and those floating beads. She followed them as far as she could go, her curiosity having no limits. However, eventually her range of vision was cut off as he was completely removed from the premises, and taken elsewhere.
Using the resources that Eden had to offer, Alice used an Enforcer’s outfit, and with forged identification, made her way through the zones that were closed off to the public. She wanted to keep her use of abilities to a minimum, as even the slightest disturbances could alert the Authorities. Weaving her way through bright white halls, and prying for information from wherever she could, the room that held the beast was eventually found.
“Nobody is to see the monster kid without the permission of the Chief Enforcer,” the officer guard explained, in a seemingly annoyed way. Alice noted how he did not refer to the supernatural with a long and tedious number, as most ‘prisoners’ of the Authorities were labeled with. The Daemon knew that using mind powers would not be the best course of action so early in the game, before she could even see the child. Reaching into a front pocket, the blonde pulled out a roll of currency, containing many large-number bills, and slipped it to the man. “There are four zeroes behind that number. Give me ten minutes, and you’ll get the other half,” she murmured softly, with a small smile as she showed him another roll from a pocket in the uniform pants.
The man was stupefied as he took the roll of bills in his hand and buried it quickly in a pocket. He quietly nodded, and turned to the door to put in a password. The door slid open, and without another word, Alice walked into the room that held the muzzled and restrained child.
“It isn’t right of someone to starve a growing boy like yourself-- you seemed to have quite the appetite out there,” the Daemon commented, initiating her telepathy and aiming to use it on the restricted child before her. “It’s telepathy. This room is probably bugged, and you’re muzzled anyway, so I thought it would be more convenient to communicate like this~”
The blonde stepped closer to the boy, noting the strange methods of restriction. The muzzle was a smart idea, as he seemed to be quite the ravenous one. “So, what exactly are you? Have a name, kid?” Yes, she looked like one of them, but she would watch for his initial reaction to her approach and attempted use of telepathy. Only ten minutes… what would he have to give her, information-wise? Was he worth saving?

The boy raised his head slightly, narrowing his large yellow-orange eyes at the blond woman who had bribed her way into the unusual cell. Since he was just waking up he had no idea what the enforcers uniforms looked like. Thus he had no specific grudge against his captors yet. Even if he had known, he would not have been upset by her presence. Her words were too unusual.
Based on the way she 'spoke' he could tell she wasn't necessarily his foe. Might not be a friend either, especially since any other day she'd be seen as little more than a tasty snack. He was used the means she used in a way, though words in his head more often came from people he'd consumed but decided to leave alive for a little while, not from beings outside of himself. This was a little new.
The bound boy managed a weak smile behind his muzzle. "yeah." he agreed regarding his appetite. There was a ripple in his mental voice which reflected some of his discomfort. too bad I swallowed something bad. He didn't mind admitting. It wasn't like he could do anything about it or even put on an act while bound like this. It was long story there since the living singularity could consume just about anything, even those substances toxic to man or beast to no ill effect. Not just anyone had the kind of power to mess with Sem's limits. It took a very particular nature and ability set I gotta wait for the pain to go away, or my appetite really returns. if they don't feed me, I'll get out all the sooner.
He wasn't looking at her hungrily now. He was in too much discomfort for that. If not for the limitations of his bonds, he might have been bent over double just because of his aching insides. If not for the churning pain, he'd be out of here in a heartbeat. Either way he wasn't in too much of a hurry. He knew he was practically indestructible, and the pain hadn't killed him yet, so it probably wouldn't
"I'm Sem... Sounds like you already saw what I am. she knew he had a ravenous appetite didn't she, that summed up a large portion of the answer. Depending on how much of his rampage she'd seen, the powers he'd displayed, his necklace of beads bringing him down she should be able to make a pretty close guess as to his nature. "I don't have a species." most of the time all he needed was his name, though sanctuary researchers might try and give him an official classification other than just 'monster child' or a specimen number, just as another way to keep tabs on their findings.

Poor kid, starving, locked away in a strange and unforgiving place. Of course, anyone could find an ounce of pity with one look at the restricted child. The state was pathetic, and his muzzle, jacket, and bonds could make anyone want to get him out. However, one who had witnessed the scene with the monster would know better. “Hungry, is that it? I suppose you and I are a lot alike, in that case,” Alice mused, inching closer and bending down so she was at a more comfortable position of speaking and looking at the kid. She dared not move too close, however.
The Daemon was also a fairly ravenous beast. She was fortunate that she had always balanced her intake of souls. Too much of something holy, and she would take on those signatures of light. Too much of something unholy and corrupt, and she would grow closer to their ilk. Luckily, she rarely found herself too hungry, presently. Part of it was because she had divided her soul into many pieces, and scattered them throughout the patches in that single fabric of a universe. So her current fragment felt little hunger, nor was at its full power most of the time.
”Call me Alice. And I suppose if you can get out that easily, I could leave you hear. But those bonds look awfully uncomfortable.” the blonde commented with a slightly concerned and warm smile. She of course had more in mind, though was delivering her idea slowly, as to let it sink in. Did he still have intelligence above that of a child in his current state? “What if I removed that muzzle for you here and now~?

Sem hoped she did not pity him. it did seem like she did not know his experience as well as she might think. you could be the first person I eat when I'm free you know. he teased knowing that right now he probably would be in a good deal of pain if he bothered to eat a person, especially one who possessed something that set her apart from normal examples of her physical kind. The thought was exciting in its own way, but at the same time he was in internal pain right now, not all of it from hunger. It was hard to entertain such thoughts when he was pretty sure there would be a potent backlash if he tried to eat too much.
I will get out of everything else once my mouth is unbound. he still boasted. He was pretty sure he could. All he needed to to was be able to get his teeth into his bonds. Then he could break them. As for how long it might take. If she didn't free him, he could wait whether it be a week, a month or more before he got hungry enough to have the desperation to break out. Waiting had its perks too, even if it lacked the immediate gratification of being able to do what he wanted right away. I don't mind to bear this out for now. Its not as uncomfortable as it looks. He didn't have to worry about human physical ailments such as cramps or blisters from being bound too long. He looked the part of a humanish kid, but when it came to situations like this he didn't have to worry about wear and tear. Besides, he had a bit of a limiter to deal with, a set rules about how much he could destroy at a time. That was why he'd been caught in the first place, because he'd reached that cap and so had been rendered comatose in the middle of a hunger-driven rampage. He'd found out some of the rules imposed by the limiter a while back thanks to someone he'd associated with for a season. If he waited the cards would slowly align for him to rampage properly again, and the extra limits placed on him by the number's curse would be compromised long enough for him to go all out.

“That is true,” Alice agreed with the teasing, chuckling subtly under her breath. “But I could ensure you that I would not be the most enjoyable meal. Bad repercussions. On the flipside, I could always have you as a meal. But that is not why I am here. If it was, I would have attempted to do so already.”
Part of it was a lie. She could consume souls, though had not bothered to use much of her soul-sight to avoid triggering any supernatural detectors. Technology that could rival the gods was a bold and daring claim. However, such a declaration would not exist unless they had some way of backing it up, and she would rather not tangle with what these shockingly intelligent humans had to offer. Nevertheless, she had not bothered to check for the monster kid’s soul, nor did she have any intention or means of consuming him. He did not know that, however, and for now it would stay that way.
“Well, you seem fine on your own. I could just leave you here, and you would eventually make your way out,” the Daemon began again, keeping her physical senses alert, just to ensure her own safety. “But to be completely honest, I am not quite fond of the people who brought you here. I don’t really want to see them have their way. I could be patient, and you would work yourself out of this mess yourself, or I could see that something be done sooner.”
A selfish proposal, but a being like her was nothing if not selfish. “I don’t really want much in return. I suppose the only thing I would like is not being eaten by a hungry being such as yourself. All I can take is your word on that, though, and in my experiences, one’s word is much easier broken than kept. Still, if you would be so kind to give me at least that, I can take that muzzle off of you,” Alice concluded, beginning to rise up to a standing position again, with a casual smile laced across her lips. She would leave her proposition hanging in the air. It would be up to him to take it or not.
Even without his word, he would likely not find success in eating her. Even if he managed to catch and consume her soul, she would just transfer her consciousness to another soul fragment, while the eaten one would do its best to destroy or consume the creature from the inside, if possible. Regardless, the Daemon was confident in her abilities to escape should such an unfortunate event occur.

heh, you'd have to free me first sem pointed out, highly doubting that she could actually consume him, and highly skeptical of the presence of the consequences of which she spoke, unless they were the ones to which he was already bound. Of course they were not entirely referring to the same kind of eating, Sem existing in a way that interacted most of all with the physical world. (though souls of his prey rarely got out free, trapped by the pull of the living singularly to join the same fate as any matter he consumed). She more tilted towards the spiritual in her abilities and tastes. There was quite a bit of difference here.
Free me and you'll have some time, at least till I get out of the rest of this to get away. Yet I might eat you If I see you another day. No promises on the future other than today. sem taunted, speaking like he still had at least the potential to swallow her up should he be released right now. But he'd give her a chance to escape. He'd have other things on his mind with the time needed to free his limbs. After that maybe he could consume a person or a roomful or two before it aggravated the consequences he'd have to face. For now he wasn't so hungry as to need to eat everything in sight soon as he was unbound. Don't free me, and you can find a front row seat to watch this place be swallowed up when I break out. I'll be hungrier then. The death toll higher. There might be nothing left. if she wanted to hurt these guys surely it was more in her advantage to wait.
It was her choice. She was the one who was offering after all. He wasn't particularly attached to the thought of revenge, perfectly willing to just eat his bonds and go free with minimal damage to this place, which he would have to do if he was freed now. He also could wait then rampage when the time was right. He wouldn't hold a grudge against her for leaving him to the vices of sanctuary officials till then. Of course he also didn't know what if anything they might be able to do to him. He guessed nothing.

Turning upon itself as a collapsing star does, the number observed from the shadows of near nonexistence.
The sight that met it was nothing short of an atrocity and downright embarrassment, and, as with the scene regarding the red spheres shocking the other black hole into submission, it again took the number some willpower not to rip the shackles off the familiar singularity --perhaps not as mightily as before, as these additions looked rather petty in comparison to the stranger's floating choker, which still brought a good bout of ire to the number when it looked upon them.
For the number, more time had passed than would have for its something of a fellow, as it sat and pondered in the void, then dallied away the time in another universe entirely, before finally deciding on returning to this place, slipping over to a time not long after it had left. It could have bounced ahead and seen what became of things should it not act, but where was the fun in that? Although some manner of seriousness could be felt deep in its gut, it wasn't willing to throw away any such surprises just yet -- there was still so much more for it to learn of this universe alone before delving into its branching paths.
Besides, this would keep it from entering into a certain endless loop. Try, fail or succeed, return either way, fix the mistake or try something else, make it better or worse; rest, repeat, not even knowing what in the precise manner one would want.
The muddled memories affixed itself to the number and it drifted halfway in a haze now, somewhere between drowsiness and a drunken stupor, mixing together the dulling experience with ideas that need not be there at all.
Someone had entered the bright room, spilling inwards as though to the tune of some subtle ruse. She looked relatively the same as the rest of them it had glanced patrolling the locale, and the number shook itself awake a little more to see what was about to happen. However, there was nothing but silence while the pair exchanged glances and googly-eyed looks with one another.
Something had to be off here.... Had the number had any brows to raise at the moment, it would have done so; instead, it settled for further permeating the enclosed space, stretching what little existence it held to fill the pores between atoms. It extended its senses beyond what it had already been utilizing -- all basic sight and sound in what it knew the opposing singularity to have used before -- and tried to tease out what was going on.
Numbers seemed to float and vibrate, and it listened to the static hiss of careless thoughts as they were let slip. The voice was no less familiar, and what little it was able to snatch didn't allow the number to make any substantial guesses.
Growing bored by the minute, and having yet to make a final decision, the number decided to go on and do something else.
While the two carried on with whatever it was they were gawking at, a loud smacking would eventually be heard from the upper corners of the room, just above the door through which the free-limbed stranger had come. Striped red and white, there hovered a giant box overflowing with popcorn. Bits and pieces of the popped kernels fell to the floor, as clusters were taken in handfuls from the top, scooped inwards towards a mouth that could not be seen. Crumbs could be seen flying with every bite, the substance disappearing down the invisible person's gullet.
Who knows what sensors it was knowingly or unknowingly alerting with these simple sights and sounds alone.

Popcorn...sem's eyes followed the source of the sounds at once. Him, it must be. If not well it was still a pretty offensive scene.
It must be taunting him with the simple yet appealing food, treating him like an entertainment piece and not even offering to share. Not that sem could share with the muzzle on tight like it was, preventing him from eating anything even if it was something simple and harmless like a human-measured serving size of human made food.
It wouldn't have been satisfying but it also would not have aggravated the pain that the very number had brought on him.
Sem strained against his bonds now, twisting and pulling against a system of restraints which only seemed to grow tighter as he struggled, limiting his already limited range of movement, while taser wire sparked to life, Delivering a potent shock which did nothing to subdue the kid.
Ignorant of the events happening inside the room, the gullible guard opened the door. "Times up." He warned. It had been a generous ten minutes, letting the woman in with the monster kid for this long was really pushing the rules.
And then flecks of puffy white and yellow buttery saltiness fell onto his head, rolling down the bridge of his nose, and drawing his attention upwards.
There was a giant floating box of popcorn hovering right above him.
Automatically he gave a shout, alerting others in the hall. He could turn a blind eye to a lovely woman willing to give him more money than he made in year for a few minutes with the gagged up monster, but floating popcorn was too bizarre. At first he thought it was the monster kid's doing. They had limited knowledge on his powers so far after all.
With backup coming, he could feel the pricking cold jaws of his boss's anger if he was found out to have let a stranger in beginning to bear down on him.
"Get out." He instructed, mouthing the words so they would not be picked up by the many sensory gadgets built into the walls and the ones he was required to wear. "We're on high alert here." He could hear through his wireless earbud radio transmitter that security was going to get serious. He shouldn't even have the door open right now.

The moment that the alarm went off Himari jolted up. She had been finishing up some paperwork that had been procrastinated for quite awhile, and the choice to do so for longer for a good reason was more than something she was willing to do. This was the part of the job she hated most. The Authority grabbed her katana and ran towards where the alarm was, speeding through the hallways with reckless abandon. She was amongst the first to arrive at the scene. Upon seeing the woman she hissed, “What’s the newbie doing in here?!” She had not seen the girl before, and thus was assuming she must be new. And had not yet seen the popcorn floating over her head at this point.
She unsheathed her sword- ready and on guard. Surely this couldn't be it if the alarm had been tripped.

“Both options are appealing. Which would you prefer? I have nothing better to do--” Alice could not finished her sentence with the trademark singsongy chime in her voice, as she would normally have. The popcorn suddenly had preoccupied her mind. A presence was most certainly there, though as the Daemon activated her soul sight, she was taken aback to see no soul coming from either the invisible one nor the bound one.
The blonde took a frustrated step backward, annoyed that she had not opened her senses earlier. Though her irritation was not visible, she loathed the fact that sensors within the places monitored by Authorities could detect the slightest disturbances, even sensory powers. With knowledge of their hungry unseen friend nearby, there was no point in staying quiet for much longer.
Blue eyes peered over her shoulder as the man re-entered the room, declaring that her time was up. In Alice’s mind, he was a bit early, but there would be no good in arguing against it. It was far too late. Taking the other half of the pay she owed him, Alice dropped it on the ground, hoping that it would offer a distraction when the other Enforcers appeared.
He mouthed a warning for her to get out, though the only entrance and exit to the room had been blocked by a sudden female wielding a katana. “I’m here for the same reason you are,” the blonde replied, deciding to act in the role of the ones she was dressed as. A dainty finger pointed up at the floating popcorn, held by the invisible being. “Surely this is not how we intended for the prisoner to be fed? In fact, I thought we had orders to not feed him at all.”
It was a guess, though an educated one. His crime was turning into a monster and eating a portion of the city. Why would he get food while spending some time locked up? The Authorities were cruel and smart; they knew better. However, she was not about to underestimate their godlike technology here. She needed to escape while she could. Sem was struggling against his binds, wanting to escape to get that buttery and salt food, while the other supernatural activity in the air would hopefully alert them more than her own presence.

The human singularity began to struggle, flashes of electricity surging along his restraining wires, although for what purpose either of the two held the number couldn't possibly fathom. He was so weak in that body, so constrained. The sight further sickened the number, and it couldn't even summon the strength to offer up a cheeky taunt.
The door opened and a man stepped through, the number nonchalantly continuing the munching scene, which was now tossing all the extra bits onto this new man's head. As the man looked up with a shout, a third human scrambled into the room, swinging a sword like a madman-- or, well, actually she was just holding it...which was just too bad.
It listened to the woman in the middle explain her presence --hey, wait a second...she was lyin', wasn't she!
The number tossed the oversized bag away, letting it drop from where it floated; with the two humans standing just underneath it, the bag might just fall on top of their heads.
"Quite a party ya got goin' here," it said. The voice sounded off, an echoed mixture of the voices that had already spoken in the room; it seemed to come from the walls themselves rather than any particular point.
An object was whipped out from thin air, a shiny silver hatchet that would appear in the blink of an eye. It continued, "Yanno, ya'all look positively ridiculous." With one swing it would bring the hatchet down, aiming to cut the child's bonds in one fell swoop -- if only he would stop wigglin', it made it so hard to aim!
"How ya gon' dance like that?"
Its vision trailed to the necklace hovering around the child's neck. Damned things...in that same slash, its nerves would twitch, switching the hatchet's angle around in an attempt to slam its edge into the beads and talons. It put the same force behind it that had been used to pierce the child's skin, hoping that would be enough to shatter one or two of the floating things; if it missed, the hatchet could strike the child somewhere in the head or neck (likely also cutting into one of his muzzle's straps), or it just might slip harmlessly off into the air, lodging itself into one of the room's pristine walls (or dawdling humans).

Wow. That newbie was fast. Or her office was rather close. Himari’s own office wasn’t the nearest to the prison cell after all. There was a lot more to consider than being close to just one prisoner after all. Even one this destructive. The woman surged upwards, attempting to swing near the handle of the ax. Whatever this thing was surely if she hit its arms It would drop the ax before it could actually hit the child’s bounds.

There was no time nor opportunity for the low-level guard to get the money which had been left behind. A higher ranked enforcer had edged her way in, with a sword, a sword in these halls.
Some of the spaces in this facility, especially some of the older hallways were rather narrow, providing insufficient room to swing such a thing. At least in the cell there was enough room for such, and it had plenty of other security measures besides.
There was a protocol for this. The department's security AI for this part of the wing should be on this any minute, Putting the robotic components here into use. When that happened, it would be best to not be too close to the crossfire unless trained to be here.
It was permissible for him to retreat. In fact, it was better that he do so. Trying to ignore the rain of popcorn, and the bag which had held the stuff, getting in his way, the guard made his exit closing the door behind him. From there, he activated a security field on this side. The door could be operated by anyone with the correct permissions even from the inside of the cell, while the security field could be passed through by humans, but had some powerful anti-supernatural properties which should hopefully slow down anything inhuman from getting out of this room.
As for sem, He was freer with his bonds cut. Some of them still sparked and fizzled a little bit, but he had no problem getting out from the straitjacket, the shackles and the rest of it once even a little bit of it had been compromised.
He could use his hands now. He just didn't have the chance to do so.
Because of the beads, The hatchet contacted a few of them alright. There was a flash of extreme heat and light at the point of collision spreading outward. A tiny portion of the axe, and an equal portion of the necklace, a lump sum of a few atoms, mutually turned to energy by the exchange even that small amount created a blast bright enough to cause permanent eye damage, hot enough that it could melt the skin of any human being who got too close. Even if pressed against the furthest wall, the heat was near scalding. If more matter had been compromised in the explosion, it could have ended up reaching deadly proportions.
The computer AI reacted, pulling up energy barriers to contain and limit the non-magical blast as much as possible thought it could not rescue anyone who may have ended up positioning themselves too close.
Sem was of course at the focus of the explosion. The chain reaction ripped into the muzzle, and what remained of his restraints, burning and tearing at them, and sending bits outward as shrapnel. The rest of his beads bounced around away from the force like billiard balls, while at the same time somehow maintaining a loose orbit, and avoiding contact with anything in the area other than themselves and the barrier that kept the effects of the blast from filling the whole room.
Once the chaos of it all cleared, A taller sem stood in the remains of the blast. His clothing and restraints were for the most part burned away. Only the beads remained, zipping back into their places once able. Shallow laceration marks of dark purplish tone covered his neck shoulder and part of his face radiating out from the point where the axe had hit his beads. It had even gotten to some of his hair, leaving dark streaks on the effected strands, Yet other than that he seemed unscathed. Without a word He took a step towards the computer generated blockade which now kept him contained instead of the tight bonds from before, a small smile sliding onto his face.

Chaos was breaking out before her very eyes. It would have been a pleasing sight, and one she would have enjoyed sitting back and watching with her own popcorn in hand, had she not been in danger. She did not trust the technology of Sanctuary, that could so easily bind monsters and demons, and botch her own sensory abilities. What other monstrosities did they have up their sleeves in the way of what they were capable of?
Alice leaped away from the human girl, apparently a commanding Enforcer of some tier, who aimed for the invisible, soulless being. Whether it would hit or not, the damage had already been done. The monster had been freed, which had been her purpose here all along.
There was not enough time for her to make it out of the room, however. With too much chaos, and her own curiosity leading her blue eyes to not peel away from the scene unfolding, she was in the line of fire. The silver hatched hit the special seal floating around Sem, and from there, a blast of energy was unleashed.
As a default defense mechanism, the Daemon phased her body back into her more comfortable spirit self. No longer was she flesh and blood, but purely visible aether and whatever the mysterious substance spirits were made of was. It was only by pure instinct that Alice had activated her soul phasing. This truly was not the best place for it, but with the blinding burst of light and powerful energy, how could it not trigger a response?
Eventually the light died down, and even though she was in spirit form, she looked no different than she did before. Sem appeared to have grown, no longer in the form of a small and helpless child. “You seem quite pleased with yourself,” the blonde said with the tiniest trace of disdain. There were two beings in the room who possessed no soul; it was far too unnatural and freaky for her. On top of almost sustaining severe injuries or dying had her physical body been harmed, she was still in the predicament she had been in several seconds ago. Just how was she going to get out of this mess? She did not exactly have the word of the beast before her that he would spare her, and the last thing she wanted was to be forced into a fight.
Not only that, but she was posing as human. Was there any way an ordinary person could have survived the burst of energy? If not, how was she to explain how she was alive and standing, without being caught?
