"It always hits you when you realize your life has ended" A light drizzle fell over the streets of Lorridge District as people went about their days, some working on getting their shopping done, while others simply went around to some of the many establishments that surrounded the area.
People were unaware of things going on in the background, just going about their life without any care in the world.
He wished he could be as naive as they are.
The sound of the floor shaking below him was the only direct noise he could hear amongst all the tension. He stared down at his handuffed hands, a dejected expression on his beat up face as he raised his gaze.
The Enforcers sitting before him were still keeping their glances at him, ready to strike with even the slight hint of resistance, regardless of whether they were in a confined moving space.
Yeah, it made sense. He wasn't human anymore. Or maybe he never was.
Don had led his life thinking everything was normal, trying his best to live up to his parents expectations. Whether that was doing well in school or furthering his skills in boxing, a hobby that he had spent years trying to convince his parents to led him undertake. He had even managed to get a girlfriend, he wouldn't say he was expecting to spend the rest of his life with her but...she was nice.
But now his life was gone. His parents were no more and he doubted that he would ever be able to go back to the life that he had left behind merely twelve hours before.
He knew that what expected him was a cell, or worse. Starting Point Don Clawright | 20:45:00 PM | Loridge District (Sanctuary)

Another one, caught and in transport to one of the holding facilities for supernatural scum. The battle worn officer didn't like that it was a 'kid' about the age of his own son, but job stood before sentiment as always.
The cyborg kept an eye on the capture from a screen on his dash as he drove. The cameras did as good of a job as eyes did when it came to making sure the subject was secure, while hidden weapons were turned on the kid, that he could activate with a push of a button.
Hopefully he wouldn't need to. Those who didn't really know what was going on tended to be cooperative when they weren't rampaging. The dampeners in the vehicle would prevent a lot if he did decide to try something as well. This was going to be another normal catch.
or was it.
The car's exterior navigation picked up the stray vehicle before Myers saw it in the passenger side window. In tangent with the quick computerized calculations of the artificial components of his brain, and the car, he veered, evading the collision deftly, but not without nearly tipping the vehicle, which was one of the ones that still needed wheels.
Damn it.
"Get an enforcer on that!" He growled to the intercom. The cars 'eye's would have recorded the scene.
Thing was it wasn't your normal speeding car.

Pigs on the fly. She could feel the nearby souls, and recognized the car that would carry some poor to-be prisoner, be it some scummy criminal, or some unfortunate supernatural being. The monster hoped for the latter, as her typical response to discovering the average lawbeaker was to finish them off-- sparing them the court, jury, and possible prison.
It was one of the many things she did that had always been questionable in the eyes of their former leader, but there was little one could do to stop her. The thing to speed by-- whether it was planned to do so by a fellow member of Eden, or if it was only a coincidence, it mattered not. It was a beautiful distraction.
Leaping down from a building, the ten foot tall felid-fox aimed to land atop the car, spin its hind legs off to hit the ground, and redirect the front of the car into traffic or a building with its forelegs. With its size and weight, it hopefully had enough strength to complete its task.
And whether it worked or not, the large feline-fox would attempt to rip into the Enforcer’s vehicle with a massive paw, in search of their target.

One chaos lead to another, one that electronically enhanced senses struggled to fully catch given the number of distractions on the road. Even so trained instincts for preservation of self and cargo kicked in for the cyborg enforcer.
He put the vehicle in reverse, making for quite the jolt with the sudden change of direction. Skillfully he guided the heavy vehicle in such a way as to minimize civilian risk, though it was not enough to fully escape such a large monster.
Thank goodness the car was armored. One couldn't just tear through it or even stand a chance to dent it in most collisions. He pulled a lever from inside the vehicle. from here he couldn't fight exactly, but the vehicle did have some built in defenses as well.

An alert came up on his dashboard. Walsh glanced over it while he was stopped at a traffic light, watching a short video play beside a map with several icons. He was one of the closer enforcers with a free hand, so he pushed a button to signal that he was taking the call.
Flashing lights and sirens went on as he pulled out into the road, racing down the street to meet up with the speeding car. While turning a corner he crossed another intersection to cut off the skidding vehicle; almost as soon as he pulled over something else caught his eyes in its approach: the other enforcer's vehicle propelling itself backwards with a giant cat coming after it.
Instantly Walsh forwent the speeder as he pulled a rifle from the passenger seat and hopped out of his vehicle, aiming down the sights at the enormous animal. Cracks erupted into the air as he pulled the trigger, great globs of antimagic plasma arcing through the air towards the beast.

Don Clawright Don was more than a little confuse by the sudden jolt from the van. The ried had gone from being silent and full of tension to a speeding sequence of twists and turns, coupled with the sound of heavy movement going on outside.
Don had trouble staying sittd during the proceedings, causing him to slide off his seat and fall to the floor, which in turn prompted the guards to quickly get him to stand up.
He groaned loudly, his head still hurting from the heat. "What's going on out there?" he asked absent-mindedly, only to be forced back onto his spot.
"Stay quiet and stay on your seat!" one of the guards ordered, clearly distressed by the change of mood. This piqued Don's interest a bit. What exactly was so scary that it cause these guys to lose their cool like that.
What if, it was something like him. Something not human. The thought was enough to fill Don's thoughts with hope, hope that maybe he could get out of this situation after all, maybe even find a way to recover his old life. Of course things weren't that simple, but that was somethign he had to learn later.
For now he simply sat back down, keeping his eyes glued on the guards and his ears sharp on what was going on outside. He clenched his cuffed fist, putting his faith on that one hope. Oni

It was one heavy armored vehicle-- that much was certain. It would take some work for her to break it, even in Daemon form. Still, not all was lost. All she had to do was wait for those inside to simply open the doors.
Of course, help was on the way. It was something that the member of Eden had anticipated. Smirking, the large felid fox eyed the patrol car heading her way, with a man leaping out wielding a rifle. Having seen it coming, the beast leaped and crouched behind the car-- hoping that the plasma would incinerate, or at least weaken, its thick armor.
Upon leaping and crouching almost out of sight, she began shrinking in size, and changed her form in the blink of an eye to that of another she had grown more comfortable with-- a blonde-haired human female of the age of an older teen or young adult. Had the officers seen her transformation (which she had tried to hide from the patrol car), or not, she began to knock on a window of the armored truck, a smirk on her face. She could sense the human souls inside-- on fire with either fear or passion, and ready to be snuffed out by the Daemon. "Knock knock~"

Don Clawright Don was startled by the sound of loud footsteps coming from the outside, something that also caught the attention of the guards. His thoughts went back to his earlier thoughts, and whether this really was some kind of inhuman being trying to rescue him.
If so then why? It would be really convinient if someone just happened to notice his situation and tried to save him. Then again, it's not like he could complain.
He was taking out of his thoughts by the sound of someone knocking the window on the side of the van, causing one of the guards to react. "The window!" he yelled out, acting rashly and grabbing a hold of his gun before quickly firing at it, causing it to break.
The other guards turned to him immediately, with one him restraining him while the others stood guard in front of the window. Oni

The car's cameras piked up hints of the shape shifting. It was very hard for a creature that big to hide completely in a blind spot. Myers pushed a trigger button on the manual defense Shifter beside him.

"Shit." Something had malfunctioned in the offensive tech built into this rig. The High-voltage taser system wasn't activating.
A shot went off from inside the vehicle, and glass shattered.
Someone had forgotten their training back there, eliciting a small growl of more expletives from the driver. The guards back there should know better than to fire through the window of an armored car. Myers would be having a discussion later with the idiot who'd assigned them to this job.
If these were the only things that backfired all would be going well.
Myers pulled the car back into forward drive, turning on the back up shielding as a precaution in the process. It was basically just a force field, and not even the best one at that, but it should be enough to make up for the broken window.
Still some things had to be allowed for, especially since it was known that the thing outside wasn't human despite those looks.
The following wireless messages were sent.
Prisoner is priority. Aurichalcum rounds. Fire if clear shot only. Backup otw. Break any more windows and you're dead.
They were on the move again. Myers was going to trust that backup to know what it was doing and clean things up. He too was following transmission orders after all.

The beast leaped out of the way his shots, Walsh loosening his trigger finger as it ducked far enough behind the car that he couldn't immediately get a good angle on it. A shot or two might have skimmed the armored vehicle, but thankfully a few bullets wouldn't hurt what was essentially just a few pegs short of a tank. Unless he hit a window or something.
Walsh used the time he had to duck behind his door and reload the rifle.
His watch beeped, Walsh glancing through the door's window before he checked the messages that had been caught. "Copy," he breathed quietly into the watch's speaker, reaching for a clip of aurichalcum rounds to slide into the internal magazine.
Hearing the van cut back out onto the road, Walsh quickly flipped the safety and tossed the rifle back into the passenger's seat, then dropped into his own and slammed the door shut to chase after the armored automobile. Sirens whirled back into motion as he sped to catch up, aiming to act as an entourage if nothing else. Hopefully he'd be able to swerve fast enough to cut off any other potential attackers, make sure nothing else tried to break through the van's defenses.
The beast had appeared to have disappeared, and Walsh kept a close watch on his mirrors and windows for any signs of it.

A broken window, oh how perfect.
The instant the shots rang out and glass shattered, the Daemon disappeared. All it took was an open door to let those outside come in, and the deed had been done. She had made eye contact with the fearful guard, and instantly connected her own soul to his. It was too late as the new forcefield went up and the cunning smirk of the blonde quickly faded in the split second it took to form the connection with the human guard. He had been restrained, as frantic as he was, and nobody would notice that the poor man had been possessed by the Daemon.
It did not end there, though. With her spirit filling, but not yet controlling the human, she took the chaos and the new order coming through the speakers as another opportunity to do what she could to cause damage.
She moved her spirit to the body of the one restraining the first man who had broken the window. This time, she took control, and released the first infidel who had dared to allow the Daemon entry. This new guard had a gun, and without any prior movement, she aimed to shoot the guard who had broken the window, followed by the other. The prisoner was obvious- a young man in unique handcuffs that likely would disable any magical power.
Right now, her priority was getting him out of there. The driver and any other Enforcers had likely been alerted. There was not much time, and the mission was risky as it was.
Blue eyes in the Enforcer’s body peered down at the prisoner. “Ready to break out of here, kid?” she telepathically tried to ask, having a feminine voice, much unlike the male body she was in. Would he escape with her, or die trying?
