The great hall of the Persian styled palace in which the tribe in had been used for little lately but to collect dust. Shika didn't usually need it and neither did anyone else usually.  It was time to place this place into better use. Shika decided to do this work on her own, telling no one, and working quietly to remove the dust, fly up and clean the windows, and so on. Lighting was the most difficult thing. except for candles Shika didn't know anything she could use, but if the right time of day came about and it was sunny, those should not even be needed. At least the day was very young. there should be plenty of daylight by the time that Shika had everything ready. It was very difficult, and this was with Shika's powers to help her to decorate, arrange, and set up a lovely workable space. where the polished mosaic floors shone once the sun was high enough to slip through the windows, and the tables and chairs shika had pushed around framed a large space for mingling. Drawing people in now would be a hard part. Shika had access to plenty of fruits from the gardens in the oasis grounds which had been easy to pick and place as edible table decor. meat however...she wasn't sure who would like theirs raw or if she should cook it and if so, how to cook to begin with. shika had never tried and rather than just leave fresh bloody deer around she decided to risk leaving and coming back. If anyone came by while she was gone she guessed they could relax in the hall. There was fruit and cold water to enjoy at least and they could talk.

Shika poofed out of the vast room via teleportation. she couldn't travel far in one go this way, but she could travel quickly once she was outside by flying on her six gossamer wings. She knew where to go. the same place she had gotten the coop of now sickly chickens was a place where she could surely find some good cooked meat, especially this time of year.

An hour or so later shika managed to return lugging smoked meats, and grocery store fried chicken, and something to drink other than just water. it was some kind of sparkling juice. shika didn't know much about it, but it would do for this event. she dropped the foods off, taking care to set them up with the fruit in some way that she thought was pretty.

shifting into her human form, shika nodded as she overlooked the scene. the only thing missing was music but she couldn't like terrify some poor humans who could play classically to throw their music in. oh well. time to wake up the sleepyheads and see about celebrating.
