The creature insisted on staying, but why? The officer had advised the person to leave, so why didn't they just leave? She told them to leave! Olivia wasn't even all that sure she was even in trouble. She was doing what they said, so as far as she was concerned she would be fine as long as she behaved. This only seemed to complicate things. What, was it that they wanted to be some kind of hero? An eyebrow on one of her golden eyes arched. How was she supposed to be grateful when she didn't even know she was in trouble?
But... wait a second. Now that she was thinking this through, it did seem a tad bit strange. Olivia could tell this person was a bit of their rocker, but there was something about them that told her that they weren't stupid. Maybe there was something about this situation that they knew that she didn't? In that case, was blindly obeying the officers a bad thing to do?
Then again, what would running away do at this point? She was already handcuffed, and it would simply make her bad situation worse. Olivia's eyes arched in a bit of concern. But was it worth dragging someone else down with her?
Honestly, she didn't really care about that. No one really cared about her all that much, so why should she care about them? This creature needed to understand that this was a self preservation kind of world. No one was going to look out for them, and Olivia was being nice by telling it to leave. She wasn't going to risk getting herself in any more turmoil just because some thing was too dumb to realize they were in danger.
Next thing Olivia knew, she was being faced by a stern looking officer. She'd seen the flashing lights off of the corner of her eye, but it seemed as though she hadn't really noticed that another officer had even appeared. Olivia looked up at the man, fairly intimidated by his strong exterior. It was quite obvious that if the girl tried to fight him, she'd lose badly. Not that she really even wanted to fight all that much.
His voice seemed to scare her even more, but that only seemed to make her obey him faster, even if there were slight hesitance just from pure fright. Yep. There was no way she was going to cause this guy any problems. She walked with the man to the vehicle, and stood next to the vehicle. The ocean certainly didn't have this type of thing to arrest their criminals, so she honestly didn't know what to do with this car. Too frightened to speak up, however, Olivia simply let her eyes convey her confusion.
What even was a "car" anyway?

There was a click and the door of the vehicle slid open revealing a seat which would not be very comfortable to ride on with hands placed behind one's back. A plexiglass screen of sorts separated the back from the front, and the whole back was equipped with both hidden and visible cameras in order to keep an eye on the prisoners held during transport.
The officer was not going to repeat his orders. A firm hand gripped the girl's shoulder, and he pushed her towards the car. There was certainly strength behind the action, but he was not being unduly rough. It seemed like the girl was not entirely sure of her situation. Few where ever this compliant when they knew why they were being taken in or ended up being pushed too far too fast as some enforcers made the mistake of doing.
As soon as she was in, the door would close, a lock clicking to seal the girl inside, and only when that door was locked was would he return to the driver's seat and start the car.
It was time to drive to the station.

The young woman murred a bit with the harsh contact from the officer, stuffing her into the machine, almost causing her to trip. Somehow, despite the discomfort that came with having to practically sit on her trusted arms, Olivia almost instinctively knew to sit on the cushions despite not ever sitting in a car before. It wasn't the most comfortable thing to sit on ever, but it was enough to calm some of her nervousness. Some of it.
It was still rather daunting even being in this situation. Olivia's golden eyes scanned her surroundings as her head lowered in fear of the darkness that surrounded the inside of the vehicle. To be fair, the ocean wasn't the brightest place in the world, but when your being forced into a machine that you don't know a thing about, and you feel like you're in trouble, a dark environment is not something you want to see. The man went to what seemed to be the front of the vehicle, and once he sat inside, he turned the key into the ignition, and a large roaring sound of the engine caused the girl to squeak and almost jump out of her skin.
She didn't like that sound. She didn't like it one bit. If her hands weren't cuffed, she would have tried to break out of the car, but all she could do was sit there and whimper a bit in fear of the strange machine. However, the large roar seemed to quite down, and though the rumbling continued, it was miles less frightening than the initial roar had been.
The girl felt her breathing pick up pace, her heart beating at the speed of the fastest locomotive train, and the fact that she was trapped didn't make her feel any better.
The aquatic creature braved a question now that she was no longer looking the an directly at the face. "Sir?" Olivia spoke as normal of a tone as she could, though it was still rather quiet. "Sir, can you please tell me what is going on now?" She didn't exactly feel very brave after asking him the question. On the contrary she felt rather nervous of the response the man might give her.

The man looked up as a vehicle pulled in alongside the market's front sidewalk, with a man pulling himself out. The bud in his ear had already mentioned that the officer was pulling in, and he stepped aside as the other nodded at him, ordering the young woman in.
One brow arched when she seemed to hesitate, almost as if she didn't quite know what to do, and he waited until she was safely locked in before he turned around. The strange man with the smile was still there, frozen in place. Subtly, the off-duty officer lifted the wrist with the watch, pushing a button on one side while he seemed to be checking the time. There was a camera that he was pointing at the smiling man, and now a picture would be snapped of the stranger's face for an addendum to whatever supplementary report he'd have to add into the other officer's own.
After that was done, he cautiously stepped his way around the smiling man, walking back into the store to pick up his basket of groceries. He checked the contents in relation to the receipt he'd been given; once he was sure that everything was in place, he put the basket in with the others, flashed the receipt to the closest cashier, grabbed his bags, and left to toss them into the passenger's seat of his car, then drive home and enjoy a fresh meal.

The engine faded to a smooth efficient hum, nearly soundless now that it had gotten started as the vehicle glided down the roads away from the store. A radio buzzed occasionally, carrying the static filled speech of other officers reporting from other places.
None of it sounded urgent. The driver didn't respond to the mundane reports, and instead focused on the road, remaining stone-faced with a firm but hard to read expression.
He heard her voice through the microphones placed in the back. He a glance at the screen beside him which showed a good view of all activities in the back seat. She really knew nothing didn't she. "you're suspected of disruptive conduct. We'll take your statement at the station, and go from there. you can get answers to your questions afterwards."

The only way Olivia could possibly respond to him after hearing his rough voice again was to slowly nod. She situated herself as best she could in order to keep herself comfortable as possible. Olivia didn't know how long this ride would take, so it could have taken anything from a minute, which she could tell it wouldn't, to as much five hours. Or, you know, less or more. Honestly, she really didn't know. This wasn't exactly a new sensation, not knowing anything, but she didn't remember the last time it was all just piling on her at once.
Olivia stared out the window of the vehicle, watching all of the trees and buildings pass by. The aquatic hybrid even managed a grin at the sight of a little boy playing with his puppy. They certainly looked like they were having fun. Of course, the little boy paused a few moments to stare at the vehicle, almost intimidated, but went almost immediately to playing again. This was normal for children. They've heard that a police officer's job is to capture bad guys and put them in jail. Though they were friends to the public, it was still a rather intimidating thought to be at the other end of it. It certainly wouldn't be far-fetched for a little child to think about these things, perhaps vowing to himself that he'd never be in a situation like that.
However, odds were, even if that little boy ever managed to work his way into a life of crime, which at this point didn't seem likely, he was guaranteed not to be put in the type of situation Olivia was in. At least he'd probably know what was going on from the start. The only thing that the woman could do was hope that she'd have her questions answered soon.
Though at the same time, she was dreading them more and more as time went on.

They entered a tunnel, and drove under ground for a while. The car stopped, the noise of the engine silenced completely. The whole vehicle was swallowed up by a bright light, as the lights in this space clicked on. This was some kind of garage. The way the car had entered was concealed now. There seemed to be only four grey walls without defining features to differentiate them, and a few other police cars in this place.
The driver side door opened, and the officer got out, crossing to the passenger door to let the supernatural hybrid from the vehicle as well. If she did not exit on her own, he would force her out without hesitation, guiding her towards an elevator hidden within one of the walls. The doors slid open revealing the simple chamber that would transport them upwards.

A sort of darkness enveloped the vehicle and a soft yelp escaped Olivia's lips. Though it must have been too soft for the officer to hear, since the hybrid was now more concerned about not having to hear the man's scary voice in such a dark place. Not that he would even say anything if she was heard. However, it didn't take long for that darkness to be replaced by a blinding light, causing the woman to cover her eyes instinctively until it went away once again. They seemed to have been transported somewhere somehow. It was still rather dark, so it was hard to tell, but the air seemed different from where they were a mere moment ago.
It was then that she noticed that the soft roaring noise had come to a complete stop. After the light had vanished, the officer exited the vehicle and opened the door. Olivia assumed that she was supposed to get out of the car, but because the area was unfamiliar was reluctant to do so. For this reason, the officer did end up forcing her to get out of the car, causing another quiet whimper to squeak out. This might have had an easier time of being heard, but it still wasn't likely that he heard it.
She walked into the strange area, assuming that she would be forced to anyway, and glanced around the chamber in confusion. Why was she in here? Was this where her questions would be answered? She hoped so. Olivia looked at the officer's face for a moment before looking down at the floor, particularly at her feet. The closer she came to their destination, the more dread she felt.

The lift moved upwards silently. The fact that there was movement at all might not even be noticed except at the start and the final stop a few floors higher than the level they had begun with. The officer stayed behind the supernatural hybrid, guiding her down a short hall and into a small room with windows too high up to easily see out of.
There was another officer in the room, this one a female, who approached. "you are required to submit to a bod search." She stated. This being a very standard order of business for anyone taken into custody. In this case clothing need not be removed. The search was begin almost immediately after the warning of the intent. All objects in pockets or carried on the hybrid's person no matter how small, money, ids, medicine, phone and more, whatever they found would be confiscated and documented including personal information if it was written or printed anywhere. Anything found would be placed in a bag for safe keeping. cynda1

They were going upward, but had it not been for the initial shock of going up, Olivia wouldn't have even noticed. The man insisted on keeping a close watch on the girl, making sure he was behind her in case she was they type to attack from behind. Of course, this thought never crossed Olivia's mind, but it was no less true. Olivia wanted to be able to look at this man to make sure he wasn't going to cause her problems, but all she could do was keep moving.
At the next "destination" as she didn't know if this was the destination, all she could do was say that there were several destinations. Now there was a female officer, which perhaps because she was female as well, the woman wasn't quite as intimidating to her, but was still rather intimidating none the less. Everyone here, that being two people, seemed so serious it was a little scary. Now the lady was patting her hands on her, which made her uncomfortable. Still, Olivia forced herself to stay completely still as various items of hers were taken away. These items being her ID, which one wouldn't believe they would have underwater, but they did.
Olivia didn't really have anything else with her, except money of course. Why else would she be at the grocery store after all? Once the officer was done, Olivia breathed a sigh of relief as she waited for whatever it was that came next.

There was a table and chairs in the room, and although the girl was not going to be unhandcuffed, she was given a command. "Sit."
Paper and ink were brought out, a form to be filled regarding a set of rather routine questions before the real questioning actually began.
"Full name?"
"address?"
"Date of birth?"
"place of occupation?"
"any medical conditions?"
"emergency contacts?"
These were all routine questions and not true interrogation questions. True some of that was on the ID, but it was important to hear the answers from the girl's own mouth.
