How many was it this time? 1 spirit-beast, 3 humans 11 fairies, 2 magic monoliths, 1 house, 1 dump truck, endless small pieces and bits he'd found along the way, and a barrel of icecream. Sem yawned as he threw the remains of the container into his mouth. At least he had put a dent in his appetite enough that he didn't have to focus on finding the next thing right away now. He had some time to kill. The lanky white haired youth stuck his thumbs in the band of his skirt, and quietly looked around. What did people do for fun in places like this? He listened. It seemed there was some kind of event going on so he followed the sounds.
He came upon a fence, beyond the fence were structures like twisting steel dragons looming high in the sky as they were supported in place by man made stilts. There were many other metal creatures, some like giant tops or spinning pendulums, there were tents and buildings of many colors, the smell of the kinds of foods humans favored. The amusement parks caught his curiosity. The only issue was getting in.
It would have been easy to eat a hole through the fence or warp himself in, but sem was feeling lazy so he began to walk his way around the exterior figuring that all the other people were entering somehow.

"Cut it!"
"I'm trying!"
"Try HARDER!"
"Shut..UP!"
Two children--twins, really, by the looks of them--crouched against the fence, one face pressed into the chain, fingers wrung tight around the links, while the other leaned back, eyes narrowed in focus, as his own fingers seemed to be struggling with a gawdy tool -- hedge trimmers, the child fumbling it around in his small hands as he attempted to cut through the fence.
The cutter's face and hands were red with effort, and all he had to show for it thus far were but a few sliced links; nowhere near enough for what anyone could guess they were trying to do.
After a while of staring at his fellow's expenditure, the second began to make a grab for the trimmers, his face getting slapped at by the other's shoes as the two began to roll around on the ground.
"Let me try!"
"No!"
"You're not strong enough!"
"SHUT UP!"(edited)

Martin Luther
snip
While the two were scrapping, a tall, black man with dreads, dressed in urban street clothes with a red bandanna-scarf draped.over his chest - as though prepped to put.over his face, to those who might notice that - began cutting through the fence with a compact, yet surprisingly sharp and powerful set of handheld shears that could fit in the pocket. Snip snip snip
The man looked both ways, then reached forward with his left arm. There was a faint sound of metal clicking, then the fingers of his left hand gripped the inside of the fence he'd been cutting, and he jerked back HARD. Hard enough to send it flying behind him, and cause the entire fence to shake violently from the sheer shock of the motion.
"Overkill" Martin Luther muttered with a scowl, spitting on the ground. With a sneer, he crawled into the opening he'd just made, then proceeded into the fairgrounds, depositing the cutters into one of the side pockets of his battered jeans.(edited)

Meanwhile, patrolling the fairgrounds in plainclothes, a tall, gaunt man with sharp, drawn features and slanted, fox-like eyes patrolled in a dark blue uniform of sorts, reminiscent of the old police uniforms in the cartoons, but thin, starched, and he wore boots instead of work shoes, white gloves over his hands. A single smoke, hand rolled, was held between two fingers of his right hand, and he would occasionally take a drag from it, then open his eyes, revealing two sharp, steely eyes of a color that was such an off hue of brown that it looked ruby red. The man was lean, but if he were ever to draw back his sleeves, it would reveal the cords of knotted muscle that were his arms, which matches the dense, but lean musculature of his entire body. He wasn't a man whose muscle was due to hours in the gym, but a lifestyle that required the human body to go against it's hard limits, and had done so since he was old enough to walk.
"Almost too quiet." The man muttered, surveying the crowd. His gut told him something would happen today, something he could squash, and earn himself even more positive attention from the very authorities he was seeking a promotion from.
His instincts were seldom wrong, and even if he was wrong about the WHAT, he was never wrong about the WHEN and WHERE.(edited)

Maximillion V. Midnight
A well dressed man with long, wavy hair and dressed in a snappy dark purple suit was also at the fair, although not doing anything super impressive, but watching various men and women stepping up to the Strongman Competition Booth where they would pay before moving forward and grabbing a mallet, then driving the Mallet into the block and seeing how high it went and if it hit the bell at the top with the loud tell-tale ding that meant 'hey, you're NOT a total wuss'.
He watched them as they all stepped up, watching carefully for signs - subtle or otherwise - of individuals who might be packing a little more power in their bodies than the average human. If he was to try and scout and train individuals to survive this Supernaturals-unfriendly place called Sanctuary, he'd need to keep his eyes peeled and look for them in places where a slip of the strength, or an excessive avoidance of using ones full strength, might be evident. He felt that would be here.
Loner - 07/09/2017
The odd teenage-looking youth came across the remains of the fence which had been ripped out. Interesting. The skinny male crouched, examining the cut piece for a moment. Interesting. He let the cut wire fall again, deciding it was not worth while to consume. Well now there was a way in, and people were using it. Sem grinned and approached. He definitely didn't fit in, even if only counting his attire, a long skirt, no shirt nor shoes, and a floating necklace of beads without the string. He grinned and waved at the duo who remained by the wire fence.
00 - 07/09/2017
There was a snap some ways down from their own section of fence, which brought the pair's heads raising up.
Someone else had cut the fence before them.
They barely caught sight of the offender slipping through (and, astonishingly, tossing the removed section of fence quite a ways behind himself) before an apparent adolescent came across it, giving them a cheeky wave.
One of the twins' face boiled red, the both of them popping to their feet.
"What did he say to me!" the red-faced child fumed, though nothing had been said at all, peeling off after the new hole in the face, one fist raised as if to punch the white-haired teen out of the way.
The second twin, shears in hand, ripped after him, something sending the hairs on the back of his neck standing up, as he remained well-placed behind his more hasty sibling.
He could see something strange around the adolescent's neck.
A somewhat, though not overly, tall man in a security uniform eyed the visitors as he patrolled the fairgrounds.
It had been upwards of a week, and Walsh still didn't quite understand his duty here; all he'd managed to find so far were rowdy teenagers with records full of petty theft and vandalism.
Why would anyone of even remote note waste their time in such a place as this?
Perhaps this was punishment for some past misdeed...like the balloon incident.
No one speaks of the balloon incident.

Were these kids trying to pick a fight? Sem wasn't always able to read human emotions but the boys seemed mad for no understandable reason. He watched them come, not phased by his observations. When they came close, he stepped out of the way. Leaving the way into the park open. Sem kept up his smile as they approached. if they wanted to hurt him as the one seemed to, it wasn't like he was running from them. Lucky for them he'd only consider eating them if one of them struck him first.
00 - 07/10/2017
The child's fist went through air as the adolescent stepped aside with ease, grinning madly down at him.
It angered the child only more --until he fell flat on his face and scraped one of his arms across the broken chain links.
The second child kept his distance, peering between the odd-looking stranger and his brother as he slowly began to sidle his way towards the opening into the park.
His sibling pulled himself up from the ground with something of a sniffle, sitting and rubbing his hurt arm (which was bleeding only a little, the wuss) for a moment before glancing up around him; apparently remembering he was in the public eye, and moreover at the hand of an opportunity, he rolled through the hole in the fence and hopped to his feet with arms high.
Success!
In a hurry, his brother followed after him, looking clearly nervous as he, too, attempted to pass by the adolescent.
The one who was already in stuck his tongue out at his sibling, looking only mildly annoyed when his brother reminded him that they'd still need tickets, casting an anxious glance over his shoulder to see if the adolescent was still there; either way, he was starting to move away on his own, regardless of his brother's own actions.
Loner - 07/10/2017
Because of curiosity Sem intended to enter as well. He pulled himself through the fence and straightened up somehow not catching his skirt or hair on the exposed metal edges in the process. He still watched the boys, curious about their relationship, and reasoning. "Why so mad." Sem decided to ask, if only to see if an answer would sate his curiosity on the matter.
00 - 07/10/2017
The nervous brother watched as the strange man stepped right through parts of the fence, where clearly he should not have been able to; his hair practically stood up on end for a moment, like a bristling cat in a cartoon.
The other brother turned around with a ruffled brow as the question was asked.
"Because you're STOOPID," he said, blowing raspberries at the odd man.
Loner - 07/10/2017
Sem cocked his head slowly. "guess I could be," He admited. There were lots of things he didn't properly understand when most of the time he was focused on one thing alone, and nothing else. "but you look Stoopid yourself, doing all that." Sem pointed out, showing off a grin which was unnaturally large, and a set of teeth which were really just for show since he rarely used the things.
He couldn't help but tease a little bit, when this boy seemed so intent on trying to annoy him without realizing that his fate could change in a blink of an eye should Sem choose to act. He saw this boy as no more than a snack which he was purposefully letting get away for the moment. "go catch up with that other guy before you get left behind." Sem waved one hand up and down in mock goodbye.
00 - 07/10/2017
The boy squinted at the teen's unusual chompers.
Unlike his brother, he didn't seem so readily scared.
"Yer stoopider...," he grumbled, crossing his arms to add, "And don't tell me what to do!"
His feet shuffled around, planting them firmly in the ground.
After a moment, a glance was given over his shoulder, able to see his sibling's quickly disappearing form.
A bead of sweat formed on the back of his neck as he turned back around, stubborn expression wavering as he attempted to stare down the adolescent, still refusing to move.
After a moment, an idea bolted to mind, and with a mischievous grin he made a snatch for the stranger's floating beads; the entire movement was a bit swift for a human --definitely faster than a blink, anyhow.
If he actually managed to touch a bead, he'd attempt to run off with it.
Loner - 07/10/2017
The beads were strange. They were resistant to touch, moving away from the obstacles which might grab them as if they were magnets reacting to an equal type of charge. It would take a little bit more effort than a quick grab to even have a chance of touching one.
00 - 07/10/2017
The child narrowed his eyes.
The necklace had moved away from him.
Seeming to forget the stranger himself for a moment, he would step closer and lift both of his hands; focusing in on a single bead, he attempted to close them around it, hoping to close off its escape in cupped palms.
This movement was a bit slower than the first.
Loner - 07/10/2017
Sem made a grab for the kid's hands as they came for his necklace of beads a second time, attempting to trap both of them within his own while the nickel sized blood-red bead slipped just out of reach once more.
"You're playing with fire." sem warned softly, as if telling a secret, before pushing the boy away. Sem wouldn't stop the boy from trying again. This boy had no idea how much trouble he was potentially getting into. Sem was being 'kind' to give a warning at all, though the warning might just be more of a temptation.
Standing up to his full hight, sem began walking the same way that the other boy was going, figureing that the other might know enouhg of his way around the amusement park that sem could see some interesting things.
00 - 07/10/2017
The boy's attention snapped back as his hands were grabbed, eyes flicking up to the taller human.
He scoffed at the other's words as he ripped his hands away, stepping back to rub each in turn, briefly checking for any scratches or wounds.
For a moment he stood, debating whether or not to try again, when the adolescent began to make his own way off.
Crud-- his brother!
With haste, he rushed ahead of the teen to catch up with his sibling, making a face at the other as he did so.
"Sloooooow POKE!" he taunted, before slamming face-first into a pole that was helping to hold up a tent.
Loner - 07/10/2017
Sem laughed as he watched this duo. They seemed to him like a bit of a tragic comedy, definitely more enjoyable to keep alive for now, to see what other trouble they got into before unaviodably stepping into a chasm they couldn't escape from. Was he this dumb when he was small? probably.
Sem watched the kids as he walked past them, wondering how they might blunder around next.
The Pole rocked a little threatening to give way as it was not hammered into place as securely as it ought to be.
00 - 07/10/2017
Blood trickled out of the child's nose as he pulled his head back, hand against his face.
He could see the crimson liquid as he briefly removed his hand, wobbling around the shaky pole as he tried to meet back up with his brother.
Someone else, who happened to be in passing -- and on break -- noticed the shaking pole and quickly put a hand to it, stopping it before anything truly devastating could occur, and then continued on his way.
The bruised twin's brother, with no hedge trimmers in sight, was partways inside the tent who's pole he'd crashed into.
There was a stand inside the tent preventing further passage, where stood a man in a striped suit, taking tickets from the park's visitors and allowing them to take their shot --literally, of course, since it WAS one of those duck shooting ranges.
The little yellow, brown, and green birds waddled and quacked along as the first stranger stepped forward to try his aim, expertly shooting the first row, only to waffle on the other two.
As the gun popped away, the nervous brother sneakily reached into the pockets of one of the onlookers; there weren't many, this particular stand being so out-of-the-way, that it meant very few folks came across it.
This meant fewer eyes to trail over him, and the easier picking pockets became.
Pulling out a row of tickets, cutting off only a third of it so that the stranger might be less likely to notice it, he turned just in time to watch as the shooting stranger's time went up.
As the next stranger stepped up, his angry brother walked up to him, watching.
The pickpocket glanced over at him and winced.
"What happened to you?" he asked in hushed tones.
"I beat up that guy," his brother answered in an equal whisper, shaking a fist in the air with a triumphant grin, apparently either unaware or uncaring that the white-haired stranger was trailing them.
A fact which his more observant brother did not fail to notice.(edited)
"OHhh--!" shouted the man running the stand, as the second man was turned away with only a single prize ticket in hand.
"And a quick-draw loss for you, my friend!
Now, how about you two?"
The twins turned their heads.
Apparently they were the only ones left.
"Yeah!" shouted the brother with the bloody nose, snatching the short string of tickets from his sibling.
He offered up the entire roll to the man running the stand, though the guy only took two, leaving the last sibling to pocket the remainder.
The man running the stand took two glances at the child as he wiped the blood off his hand, eyeing the plastic shotgun as he wrapped his hands around it.
The gun was locked to the stand, preventing anyone from picking it up, and he tested the range of motion as the man counted down.
One eye on his brother, and the other on the adolescent with the strange beads, the second twin nervously twisted his fingers together as the signal was given, and his brother began to pop one duck down after another.
Loner - 07/10/2017
Sticking his thumbs back in the band of his skirt, sem moved on. He watched the various colorful displays with curiosity. There were quite a few games marked off my huge stuffed animals as prizes along side other awards. In one it seemed like you were supposed to throw balls through a hoop. In another, test your strength by using a hammer to hit a bell. In another, using guns to hit moving targets (ducks) or throw rings onto pegs. This seemed to be some people's idea of fun. A lot of humans gathered at the various places, but none of them really attracted sem.
a certain stranger might think the bare chested male resembled someone else he had met, like siblings, even though there was no relation.
Sem was more curious about the rides, he hadn't seen much like those large metal dragons(rollercoasters) before so he wanted to get closer to those.
XARXU - 07/10/2017
The shirtless young man had a 'tail' as he maneuvered through the fair. The well-dressed, dark complected man from earlier, who was making a casual stroll of his walk, but was, albeit at a lackadaisical pace, going in the same direction as the white-haired youth.(edited)
So far, the younger man with the dreds and the handheld wire cutters, was not doing anything that would attract notice. He had, for all sense and purposes, melted into the crowds.
Loner - 07/10/2017
Sem was starting to get odd looks. Sure the boy looked about as human as a clown or performer might, but his getup was surely a little too outlandish to be the norm. He didn't care much, he kept an eye out for crowds and used the metal dragon as a guide to show him where he ought to go.
Until it didn't and he found himself having reached a dead end. There was a pavilion with tables, several tents with attractions but no way to reach the thing he'd wanted to examine.
XARXU - 07/11/2017
"Didn't find what you were looking for?"
The man hadn't stopped coming closer when the shirtless youth had stopped. By the time he'd stopped, Max decided to perform a little parlor trick - an old 13th Century Assassin's trick, long forgotten by mortal minds, that any mundane human could be taught - that made him seen to disappear into the crowd and reappear beside Sem.
"Perhaps we can step out of these kind civilians' way and see if I can help you in your search."
His tone and facial expression was friendly, almost a tad mischievous. Same as it was when he met the other boy, what was his name? Mark? Manila? Max knew he'd recall, totally at random, sometime within the next, what... Several hours?
He wondered if the youth would cause a scene. He was prepared to protect them both from prying eyes, if need be.
Loner - 07/11/2017
Sem glanced over his shoulder to see a well built dark man nearby. It hadn't really been sneaking, and Sem had not really been surprised by the sudden appearence, since with his abilities the terrain could change in a flash. A sudden appearance was nothing. It might have annoyed him on another day though, especially since this felt like one of those ones he could not easily eat if things went downhill (unlike the boys from before which had seemed like an easy meal but too amusing to bother).
"what am I looking for? do you know?" Sem asked in reply. He knew his own answer. It wasn't the usual food, but it wasn't really the rollercoster either. "I can't tell you, but its fun to look for, especially here. Lots of people are fun." More casualties if he did decide to cause trouble.
XARXU - 7/12/2017
"Fun, huh?"
The wicked grin spreading along his lips didn't mirror the combination of exhilaration and fear that were now surging through his body. His danger-sense was tingling, and as usual, it was sending mixed emotions through him: One part of him descended from a long line of fighters, the other from a long line of danger-avoiding survivalists.
"Got an idea. You come with me to someplace with fewer people, and we'll see if we can't talk about my helping you find what you're looking for. You will find that I am a rather resourceful individual."
Loner- 7/12/2017
Sem turned around and began walking back the way he had come, looking for other paths through the amusement park to take. "No go strangey. I like this place." He explained. He liked it even more now that someone rather he leave.
XARXU - 7/12/2017
Schooling his face to be smooth, he charged up beside Sem, doing his best to keep his composure. This kid was pissing him off. If the kid did something stupid, he would probably be forced to step in and prevent casualties, which would draw unwanted attention upon them both. Having sucked himself into this interaction, he was now neurologically incapable of detaching himself from the interaction.
"Alright. What do you like so much about it, then?" He asked, his eyebrows so high on his forehead it almost looked like they were straining towards his hairline, in how much effort he had to exert to keep from screaming in the kid's face.
"Why do you like crowds?!"
No wonder Izune thought him an easy mark...
.
MEANWHILE
.
The pale, gaunt man with the slicked black hair and the blue uniform was still strolling through the crowd, keeping an eye on the goings ons and staying on the lookout for anything fishy. He had a mean resting his face, although his general inward mood was actually quite mellow. He liked fairs and festivals like this, reminded him of the pleasant aspects of his own childhood.
00 - 7/12/2017
Walsh hadn't found much of interest himself, either.
UNTIL NOW.
On one casual glance through the mingling crowds, he noted a man who managed to stand out despite not looking all that odd.
After a second scan of his face, he realized why this was.
Shit; he'd heard of THAT guy.
Been movin' up the ranks like wildfire....
Without even thinking about it, Walsh's back had straightened, a bead of sweat running down his neck.
That guy was much higher up on the ladder than him; high enough that he had to wonder what he was doing HERE.
Were there really that many illegalities going on at the amusement park?
Had a master criminal made his way into the park this day?
Trying to be casual about it, the man in a security guard uniform tried to disappear into the crowd himself, hoping to slip behind some tents before the other man saw him.
It was unlikely that he'd be recognized -- Walsh wasn't the most notable of enforcers (far from it, in fact) -- but he had no idea why someone like that would be here.
For all he knew, it could be to check up on him.
Damn it; how much trouble could he possibly be in?
He's just doin' his job!
Loner - 7/12/2017
Sem laughed. "I like that face." The boy twisted his own in a mock expression which matched Max's in no way at all.
A mischievous glint appeared in sem's eye as he brushed his hand against the side if a tent. "There's lots to like." He gripped the fabric and pulled.
As fabric pulled against supporting rods, the tent began to fall. With the fabric still snug in his hand, sem began to run. One might think the heavy tarp would be too much for a kid so skinny to run with, but sem still ran at least fast enough that he didn't appear hampered by the giant sheet of fabric behind him.
He let it go, but kept running. It draped upon the crowd, confusing park guests, tripping some up and even covering some completely.
XARXU - 7/12/2017
Chance!
Perhaps without even knowing it, the young boy had done Max a kindness. As the tent was ripped clean of the supporting rods and the boy ran, Max made a move of running behind another nearby tent, then - free of prying eyes - would seem to instantly blur out of existence. First him, then the fabric from the tent, then the fabric the boy let go of as he ran off.
Timing the burst movements precisely, there would be only the faintest hint of a shadow in certain corners as the boy's actions caused a stir in the crowd, first in one corner, then a much farther corner, each time getting closer and closer. The movements were supersonic, and if the boy's reflexes were great enough to catch a glimpse before the figure moved without enough speed to obscure his visage, he would catch sight of the ebony man draped in the larger portion of the fabric, using it like a cloak. Each 'burst' movement carried Max about 20 yards in 0.1 seconds apiece, precisely calculated bursts to make each of his 'touch down' sites someplace out of view, so it would just look to the crowd like the boy was making the commotion all on his own.
Timing one more burst, he placed himself in a concealed location that, when Sem was about to run by, Max leaped out - at 'normal' Usain Bolt speed - aiming a clothesline arm maneuver for the boy in the hopes of halting him in his tracks. If Sem collided with Max, he'd collide into something that would feel like a normal human boy slamming into the side of a brick wall, as Max's insanely dense dermis was like Dragonhide, and the older man would have braced himself for the collision.
Loner - 7/12/2017
Well something was moving swiftly, fast enough to get in his way that man. Who did he think he was, some supersonic taco wrapped up in that cape?
Contact wouldn't be like human boy against brick wall. It was more like brick against brick. There was a chance sem might even be like a wrecking ball against a brick wall had be been moving fast enough. An immeasurable amount of mass fit into his skinny humanoid form, and even then most of that mass was concealed thanks to complex magical seals. Thankfully the boy had not been running faster than humanly possible speeds.
Sem changed course, rolled, and slipped into a portal which he opened for a fraction of a second, vanishing from this plane temporarily so he could appear somewhere else, nearby, but not near enough to be found among the startled crowd or tents.
XARXU - 7/12/2017
And, like that, his quarry was gone. Having discarded the ragged fabric 'cloak' he had donned just before leaping in front of the boy, he was just a tall man who had just been evaded by a shirtless young man who had...disappeared.
It occurred to Max that 'normal' people might react to this a certain way, and that he should too, if he wanted to pass for normal.
"What the hell..."
Well, it was better than nothing, and fit the mood too. TWICE now, he had caught whiff of Supernatural activity in this place, and each time he had either been rebuffed or evaded.
He REALLY needed to find someone to help him with this kind of thing.
Loner - 7/12/2017
Sem might not be seen, but the fruits of his actions certainly could be heard as screams and yells started up elsewhere in the park. Screams were not unusual, but screams that were not rooted in excitement or thrill were. There was fear, and a crash as a tall free fall attraction fell, the multiple tons of steel possibly wounding or even killing those on the streets and in the tents nearby.
00 - 7/12/2017
There had been a strange boom in the distance, though it was quickly drowned out by the crowd.
He decided it was probably one of those new rides that had just been opened up today, when his eyes caught sight of an entire attraction beginning to collapse not far from where he stood at the time.
He immediately turned on his heels and sped off in that direction, screams rising up from the surrounding crowd as people began to disperse from the scene.
Unbuttoning part of his security jacket, a hand slipped into a hidden pocket therein, muscles tense as he prepared for the worst.
Other park authorities and staff members were making their way closer to the broken attraction, calls already going out for ambulances, firemen, and police.
XARXU - 7/12/2017
He had noted the other official who had tried to elude his notice, but he hadn't chosen to pursue it. Whatever the man had under his proverbial sleeves was a non-issue if he didn't cause any trouble here today. It wasn't long before his gut instinct was proven right though, and there were sounds of screams, crashes, and mayhem all around.
"I'll bet anything one of those supercharged monstrosities are behind this." He muttered under his breath icily. He broke into a run, his long legs taking him far and at a quick speed. He may have been human, but he was in extraordinarily great shape, and he would close in on the hub of destructive activity at once, and immediately begin to help civilians flee the clutches of the toppled ride, while ushering away the people who might try and do the same, but get themselves and others hurt.
.
.
Max turned when he heard the crashes. He gritted his teeth, feeling his body overheat as he began to panic. He had an overwhelming impulse to get the hell out of dodge, and another overwhelming impulse to go and try and help whomever may need it. It occurred to him, halfway through his internal deliberating, that he was already running towards the sounds, rather than away from them. Cursing under his breath, he sprinted in the direction of the sounds of destruction and mayhem, reminding himself in his head to - if he COULD help - not to help in a way an ordinary human couldn't.(edited)
Loner - 7/12/2017
This was it. This fear had been one thing he hadn't been looking for at first but loved to see when things became a little too mundane and he had a bit of time on his hands.
Sem stepped underneath another attraction, one unscathed by the fall of the first. He'd found the 'dragon' finally, an impressive gravity defying work of engineering. Hard to believe a human mind had designed the thing, but the bite sized beings tended to be resourceful.
The supports buckled and broke under his influence when effected by a simple change in his gravity. Numerous other little things flew towards him as though he had become a powerful magnet. He discarded the debris in its proper place. As the dragon fell into orbit, he weakened the force's strength to keep the rollercoaster spinning in orbit as a ring around him, rather than let it break further. The dragon like structure was finally flying properly, for its first and last time. Another change altered his relationship with the earth. It took a mere step to become airborne, taking the rollercoaster with him.
Before he'd messed with it the ride had been operational. The train was well attached to the track, but the change of movements and forces did nothing for the passengers. They had a front row seat, if the motion was not too much to keep them from looking.
And then, sem vanished through one of his portals, releasing all changes he had made to send the whole structure flying towards the rest of the park. It couldn't fly far. Normal gravity would take its toll, but so would it's weight with the damage caused when it crashed into the rest.
This should make a lot of interesting fireworks it had been a nice test.
00 - 7/12/2017
Walsh's eyes scanned the area, less focused on helping the injured than finding the cause of the collapse.
That was his job, after all.
He began to move towards where the attraction had collapsed, hoping to investigate despite all the madness going on around him.
He didn't get very far, however, before something truly strange caught his eye.
The man turned his head to see multiple objects flying towards a single location, where stood a white-haired man who began to hover above the ground.
A rush of air alerted Walsh just in time, and he threw himself to the ground as something flew overhead, adding onto the ring around the-- well, what was clearly not human.
With a glance around him, he pushed himself to his knees, ripping out a pistol-shaped device from behind his jacket.
It flashed through his mind that this was beyond his pay, beyond his level.
He was used to illegal technologies, not flying magnet entities.
Carefully, he took aim, hoping the THING was distracted enough not to notice him.
Flicking the switch to maximum power, he took aim and fired, a ball of blue energy rocketing upwards.
He missed, of course, the bullet disappearing into the sky; besides all the objects around the creature that could have blocked the shot, the stranger managed to vanish into thin air, the ring of items flying outwards like a spray from a shotgun.
Nothing flew very far, but it was far enough to cause further damage to all the different attractions, not to mention the visitors and staff.
Walsh rolled out of the way of a piece of falling debris, scanning the area, trying to listen past the roar of the crowd and the destruction going on around him.
He had to contain this, but he was sure he didn't have the fire power to deal with this.
Reaching into his jacket again, he pulled out a radio, calling for backup as he dropped the details of what he'd just witnessed.
He wasn't sure whether to hope the being would stay, ensuring that authorities would be able to surround it, or leave and cause destruction elsewhere, letting him out of the picture.
Either way, he was back on his feet, jogging around the area in search of the white-haired man, pistol close in hand.
Meanwhile, those twins were gettin' the heck out of there.
Unfortunately, they had no idea where to go; they hadn't gone through the main entrance, and they hadn't exactly been paying attention to where they were going, so they weren't entirely sure which way the hole in the fence was from where they were now.
It seemed their best bet was simply to follow the flow of the crowd, but that didn't guarantee safety, either.
"We should climb!" one of them said, waving his arm to indicate any direction but here to get to the park's fence.
"We should hide!" said the other.
A series of booms sounded off all around them.
Wincing and squinting, the first said, "You can get crushed if you want; I'm running!" and bolted off in a random direction, the second soon after following behind him.
XARXU - 7/12/2017
The ground was shaking violently, and there was the sound of things breaking and crashing all around. Many would run for cover, but one or two might glimpse up....and see the heavy objects and structures shuddering mid-descent, and a violet fog of sorts around it. They were countless tons of weight, and they were still descending, but they had slowed in descent to a mere fraction of the normal speed, slowing to a crawl.
Meanwhile, down below, a lone figure, in rumpled purple business formal attire was on one knee, teeth gritted and eyes squeezed shut. His hands were raised upwards, as though trying to ward something off, but the only thing amiss was that the same violet glow holding the descending tons of fair equipment and preventing it from landing completely and crushing civilians.
The necklace had broken at some point, and although his appearance was still human, his ears had a definite point to the ends of them. His gritted teeth revealed two sharp incisors on either side of his mouth. In the panic, it would be easy to miss these smaller details, but if he opened his eyes, his unnaturally hued eyes would complete the picture of his inhuman appearance.
He grunted and groaned, straining with the effort. His seals were holding, but barely. He was half tempted to throw caution to the wind and release a greater portion of his full capacity. He was sweating bullets as the gigantic monoliths slowly bore down against his psyhic resistance.
"Need....a miracle..." He gasped, then had to stop talking. The strain was too great, but he didn't let go. He allowed this time for civilians to run and escape.
He knew it was only a matter of time until someone connected the dots. He wished he had just suppressed the shirtless youth from the start, it could've prevented all of this! But he hadn't, so he would fight to keep countless thousands from dying, possibly at the expense of his freedom as a citizen of Sanctuary

How fun to watch them flee. Until, someone clearly interfered. It was that man from before apparently, clearly inhuman now that Sem's antics had forced the reveal. He'd been considering stopping and letting the beautiful chaos take its toll, but instead people were escaping and bot dying, and it was the purple man's fault for ruining the fun.
Sem had an idea about that.
A dark purple nearly black void opened up from the ground at Max's feet. It was like a hole. Gravity pulling down the things above, as did sem's hands reaching up to grab the man's legs. It would probably only take a second of broken focus for everything to fall as sem had intended.
If the man was swallowed up, he'd find himself in an unusual in between space, swirling dark clouds encroaching on a space that felt both endless, and no bigger than arms could reach. From here, if sem allowed it, Max could end up anywhere, including forced back to his home plane had Sem known about that place. But until the such a portal was opened again, the space would be as a prison to any who couldn't make a portal for themselves.
Sem was waiting there, at least for a little while.
00 - 7/12/2017
What the fuck was going on.
Walsh hadn't seen anything like it before -- well, not personally, anyhow.
First, the flying magnet man, and now, some guy in a purple suit holding up all the debris.
Having been trained for it, he spotted the signs right away that this man was preventing all the shattered attractions from falling on the fleeing crowd.
Walsh stood at an awkward impasse, not exactly wanting to arrest the man on the spot.
He was clearly able to see the struggle the other man was undergoing, but there wasn't much he could do to help, and hindering him would only--well....
Slowly, he sidled his way over to the man, gun trained on him, clearly struggling with what he should do.
Eyes scanned him carefully, taking in every detail.
It wouldn't be a good idea to shoot him now, would it?
Right?
He could just report it after the fact...assuming the backup didn't arrive in time to catch him themselves.
Walsh eyed the other man carefully as he stepped closer, pistol trained on the stranger.
Something started to open up underneath the man, arms reaching up to wrap around the guy's legs.
Without even thinking about it, he would attempt to stamp the arms back down, hoping to prevent the supernatural from falling in, knowing well what chaos that would bring.
He didn't recognize it as a gravity well until he got too close.
XARXU - 7/13/2017
[Arikado]
A similar dilemna had went through Arikado's head as the officer, but it didn't take him near as long to act upon the portal appearing behind the legs of the man holding up the debris. We will deal with him afterwards he thought to himself, his body assuming a formal Kenjutsu stance, a short blade in hand, and his body seemed to fly forward suddenly, a streak of light as his blade came forward in a flourish, then a powerful thrust. The blade would strike the arms that were extended there - Arikado didn't know whose they were, just that they were threatening the one source of protection the Fair currently had - and the laser-honed edge - honed to where it could even slice through lesser metals - have a straight, sharp, swift trajectory with the intent to try and cut the arms off from whatever their source were.
[Maximillion]
He hated the position he was in right now. As the cop had come closer, Maximillion had tried to toss his hair in front of his face in an effort to conceal his facial features from view, but that was about when the arms had reached out and grabbed for his legs. The momentary distraction caused his focus on the falling debris to waver for a moment, and for one instant, the debris was descending once more, aimed for the heads and bodies of the humans below. Resolving himself to sacrifice himself, if need be, to save the people, he ignored the tight grip around his legs, tensing his thigh and back muscles so that, once he fell to his knees, his body could not be jerked any further down, and he devoted his focus to catching the debris again and holding it aloft.
He had no idea where the second man had come from, he had suddenly come forward, seemingly out of nowhere, like some kind of lightning-quick viper, and Maximillion was worried that the man had come to assassinate him here and now... but instead, the pale, lean man's weapon was aimed at the arms behind him. The corners of his vision were starting to darken from the sheer strain, and although his legs were hard as Dragonscale, he felt the grip of the hands upon him. Right now, the decider would be between the man's strange blade, his own focus and physical resilience, and the tenacity and power of the man who wanted to rain chaos down upon the people who were going to the fair.
By this point, though, a large quantity of people had already been evacuated, and there were only a few stragglers. If they got out quick enough, he could release the debris, then turn his full attention upon (Sem).
Loner - 7/13/2017
The blade would bounce on contact, flying off course instead of piercing sem's flesh due to the highly compressed nature of Sem's exterior form. Sem stopped trying to grab. The man was resisting and the other, trying to step on him.
He had an easy fix. Widening the hole He gave Max and Walsh both no more ground to stand on with a void at least 10 feet in diameter with the center where Max was actually trying to stand.
Supernatural hyperspeed might get out in time, but otherwise, the only way to go was down. Any nearby humans would likely be unable to escape the pit.
00 - 7/13/2017
Walsh's arms flailed as he attempted to stamp down the arms, struggling for balance at the odd pull of gravity, as though his own body were being gripped by some invisible force.
Some maniac with a knife -- he wouldn't have been able to see who it was past the supernatural's body, even if he was looking -- came slashing at the arms.
Then, before he knew it, everything went dark.
There was an instantaneous sensation like he was falling, but only for the briefest of moments, before it was suddenly like he was standing in a dark room, the only difference being that he could see his body in the darkness, though no glow came from his skin.
All right, all right, all right...his mind whirled, taken aback by the series of events he'd just gone through.
This must be one of those other realm...portal things they'd talked about before, right?
The man pushed the butt of his pistol against his forehead as he tried to think, biting nervously down on one of his knuckles.
What was the protocol for this?
Well, how should he know?
He wasn't trained for any of this crap!
Only the simple situations!
Illegal technologies, any particularly stupid and weak supernaturals...not things that could hold buildings up with their minds or teleport willy-nilly.
After those few seconds of confusion, he lowered his gun back down, thumb on the trigger as he cocked it, making sure the energy remained at maximum.
Whatever had pulled him in -- and he'd bet it was the same white-haired man who seemed to have been causing all the destruction in the first place -- was going to get a face-full of bullets the second he dared to show himself.
XARXU - 7/13/2017
He lamented that things had ever gotten this far. Sucked into the void, Max wasted no time. His hands moved like a blur, removing the amulet, and two of his Seals - one from each eyebrow - and deposited them into one of his pockets. They deactivated, and there was a violent surge of oppressive energy in all directions, then suddenly, it was all disappearing....siphoned back into the body that it had tried to escape from.
Maximillion had compressed his energy into his form. Now free from the prying eyes of Sanctuary, he was going to give this boy a taste of his own medicine. He still had hopes of recruiting him, but he might have to beat some ass first.
"Come out." The voice echoed throughout the void, much more calm and civil than the flashy theatrics earlier might lead one to believe. There was something ominous about the form he had own, not very different from his human seeming one, but there was something otherworldly about him now.
"You're confident in your skills, and would harm humans who cannot defend themselves. Try your hand with me."
Loner - 7/13/2017
It might be wise to not forget that there was one witness here, and one probably not friendly to supernatural beings. Besides he had some type of gun.
Not that sem cared as he emerged from the dark, my the purple man had changed, becoming deliciously dark with potential energy for a fight.
However sem had a simple answer for the man. "Nope" he wasn't interested in engaging with the man right now at all. He opened another momentary portal, planning, which would close as soon as he got out of the between realm. He intended to simply trap both Max and The enforcer here for a while. That way he could have more fun at the park, and come back here to finish matters when he was done with that game.
00 - 7/13/2017
A spray of bullets shot out into the darkness, but the white-haired supernatural was gone before he could bat an eyelash, much less jump through after him, so intent was he on just shooting the guy up with molten lead.
The enforcer cursed, the gun gearing up for another round as he pulled the hammer once more, swinging it around before focusing the sights on the man in a purple suit.
"On your knees!" he shouted, muscles taut as a bead of sweat rolled down his forehead; his eyes were focused on the stranger before him, but his ears strained for the reappearance of the white-haired one.
He had no intentions of being double-teamed by powerful supernaturals.
XARXU - 7/14/2017
"Not happening." Max said, turning to regard the human. "Humans have criminals. Supernaturals do too. Should we suspect each other, or go after the criminal?"
He kept it brief, simple, easy to understand even in a panicked state. This wasn't usually his way, but something about this white-haired youth set him on edge. Unpredictable people, even someone who was weaker than Sem was, would still be extremely dangerous.
"Besides. I have a way out of here, if need be. If you cooperate, I'll bring you with me. If not, you can wait here until he comes back to do...well, whatever it is he intends to do to us when he gets back."
He then turned in the direction Sem had disappeared to, folding his arms over his chest. His senses were still around him, and his glowing eyes now had their quality they had when not surpressed: he could see in various Spectrums aside from the usual Ultraviolet one humans saw in, and in a 360 degree around himself, though the latter was a quality of enhancing his preexisting optical powers with his psionic abilities.
"What will it be?"
00 - 7/14/2017
Walsh grunted.
"You're all criminals in the eyes of Sanctuary authorities."
The gun carefully tracked the supernatural, until there was mention of him having a way out.
He struggled for a brief moment, thinking.
He wasn't entirely sure what was going on.
Supernaturals had criminals too, was it?
Perhaps the other man was here to apprehend the white-haired one, and take him elsewhere.
Slowly, he lowered his gun, though it remained cocked with his finger on the trigger, ready to blast away at a moment's notice.
"Don't think I'll let this slide just because your actions happened to prove fortuitous to Sanctuary," he told the purple-suited man, having some manner of cajones to threaten the only guy who might actually let him out of this...place.
"You better catch that guy, and then, BOTH of you, get the fuck out of Sanctuary, and STAY out."
XARXU - 7/14/2017
"I have no doubt that you'll never see this face again." He said. It wasn't exactly a lie. When he had his concealment on, he'd just have to do something superficial to make him difficult - if not impossible - for him to be ID'd again.
Shame, though... this probably meant an end to wearing purple suits, since that was what he'd been wearing when this all happened, and a black man wearing a purple suit, when most suits were black, or blue, or navy, was very conspicuous
"I'm aware of Sanctuary's 'policies' regarding the unknown. It's a shame that the color of a man's skin can be overlooked to some degree, but other traits a man is born with are treated no differently than many differently-hued humans regarded one another once."(edited)
The way he'd get out of here was a bit of a craps shoot; he'd attached a psionic 'anchor' to the point where he'd been, just before they got swallowed up by the void. He would basically have to feed psionic power through the 'thread' in order to strengthen it, then force it to expand by flooding it with psionic energy, until it LITERALLY forced the small pinhole opening in the void wide enough to let them through.
So he did just that. Normally, with his Seals off, he wouldn't have been been able to operate his Psionic abilities on such a grand scale, but the weakening of his Seals during the attack on the Fair - and his now moving about Unsealed - allowed him to make this gamble.
"Some people are born unattractive, while others are born pretty. Some, also, are born with pointy ears, others with strangely colored eyes, others with horns and some with claws. It isn't as though humans have no reason to think the worst of we of 'Supernatural' heritage..." as he worked, he nodded his head in the direction Sem had last been seen in.
"...but I truly hope there comes a time when we don't have to face persecution, merely because of who we were born to. I didn't choose to be born, nor to the parents who had me, any more than you did."
The volume of Psionic energy getting pumped into the 'thread' was now causing it to swell, distorting the space around them. Even being the livewire of energy he was now, this was consuming a lot of energy. When he had finally opened it to be a circular 4ft by 4ft opening, he would ((hoping to take a luxury that would normally be a taboo, PM me and tell me if you want me to rewrite this if you object)) grab the man around his abdomen, before he could object, then kick off the ground, through the opening, barely making it out before the thread broke, and the void portal vanished again.
In a flash, he had his Seals back on, although his hair - having grown back to it's usual length when the seals were taken off - was now well past his shoulders. Using his thick hair to conceal his face, everything supernatural about him was now winked out of existence.
"I'm done here. I honestly cannot take anymore unnecessary risks. I will do what I can to find out where that criminal hides, and take care of him using my normal measures. I hope you fare well."
He started to fade out of view, but then stopped halfway, though his form was now translucent.
"By the way, I'm part human too. Just think: had my father not impregnated my mother, maybe I could walk amongst you, free and unharmed too."
And with that, he was gone from view.
[Arikado]
He had barely managed to evade getting sucked into the portal by using his momentum to carry his sword stroke, and leaping out of the way as the two men were sucked into the void. He had turned and stared at the site of the portal for a handful of minutes. Something told him they might come back from where they had gone, but if they didn't, he was prepared to go and patrol the demolished Fairgrounds and see if they had wound up someplace else.
He had taken out his cellular phone and had called in the incident to his superiors, which Dispatch would then send to the local Anti-Supernatural agencies, describing the incident in depth, first the youth with the white hair, then the dark complected man in the purple suit. As he was pocketing his phone again, there was a sudden strange vibration, and he took a few uneasy steps backwards, just as a man, and one of those....monsters...came out of the portal.
He was so taken aback at their actually having reappeared there that he was stunned and unable to move. He didn't hear Max's words to the human, but when it started to disappear, Arikado had snapped-to, bringing his sword around, and slashing for the spot where Max had been, only for the latter to have disappeared.
With a dissatisfied snort, he sheathed his shortsword, placing it back beneath the jacket of his outfit, then moved to help the other man up.
"Are you alright? Were you hurt?"
Loner - 7/14/2017
Well it had been fun. From his new location sem quietly overlooked the damage, the ruined rides, the few park visitors who had failed to get away. He found the whole memory of the event quite funny, especially the terrified faces He could bet this place would be closed for some time if it ever reopened at all.
Thanks to all that drama, the part of the park which sem was now in proved to be rather quiet. By now there really was no one to play with, no fear to incite unless he chose to mess with the officials at the site of his attacks. The humanoid bound singularity weighed his options. Yep, He'd caused enough trouble for this place for the time being, especially since he wasn't planning to eat it yet. He picked up a discarded stroller and threw it in his mouth because it was there beside him. Time to call it a day.
Not knowing they'd escaped, and not minding if he left the strangers stuck between realms for a while, sem began to walk away on foot, finding very little resistance along the way.
00 - 7/14/2017
Walsh gritted his teeth as the supernatural, while he began to work on opening up the way out, went on a rant that the enforcer had absolutely no patient, much less interest, in at the moment -- this was neither the TIME nor the place.
He kinda wanted to shoot the guy just to get him to shut up...but, besides that being against the rules he was bound to, it wasn't really an option if he wanted to get out of here.
He wondered, briefly, where the man with the knife was.
He must have managed to evade whatever portal the white-haired one had made.
The enforcer remained silent as the other man spouted his monologue, muscles tense as he prepared to leap through the hole himself.
Instead, he found himself being picked up by the abdomen and carried away like a damsel in distress, a stray shot of surprise slipping out into the void that was being left behind them.
...This...was embarrassing.
He resisted the urge to hide his face from the utter shame, bent on keeping his focus on his surroundings, and his gun hand at the ready.
Walsh was unceremoniously dropped, awkwardly catching himself before he could fall, and staring around at his surroundings.
His eyes briefly watched the display as the man began to disappear.
"One half does not make a whole," the enforcer told him, though by then he was likely gone, and could not hear him.
Walsh jumped nearly ten feet into the air and five feet back (not literally, of course...HE wasn't a supernatural, after all) when, out of nowhere, a sword, of all things, slashed at the place where the purple-suited man had been, practically only a few feet from his own face.
His pistol raised, barely suppressing the urge to pull the trigger --and just in time, too.
It was that man he'd noticed before in the crowd...again, Walsh's back instantly straightened, though he remained on alert, muscles still tense.
The man with white hair could be anywhere....
"Yes, sir," he told the other man, "I'm unharmed."
With the weapon he was carrying, it wouldn't be hard to see that he was an enforcer, and not just a security guard at an amusement park.
Not to mention his radio, which he hadn't turned off after first reporting the man with white hair, was now crackling with a confirmation, issuing all authorities in the district to head for the fairgrounds.
Took them long enough.
...Oh.
Well, shit.
Upon arriving at the fence, the twins remembered why they'd used hedge trimmers in the first place --well, besides it being a fun distraction.
The fence swayed, curling at the top, which was marked by barbed wire.
The sounds of destruction seemed to have quieted down, as had the crowd; most folks had probably taken their leave by then.
There didn't seem much else for them to do, but walk around the fence until they found that hole or the main entrance.
As they began to jog their way along the edges, one of them caught sight of a familiar figure; he immediately picked up his pace, hoping to outrun his brother who, seeing the look on his sibling's face, followed the other's eyes to where he was looking.
He skidded to a stop, his brother running on for a few more feet before doing so, as well, hastily retreating to hide behind his brother.
He didn't exactly want to leave him behind now that they needed to escape.
"Oy!" shouted the brother in front, trying to wave down the white-haired man.
Neither had any idea that he was the cause of the chaos, having been substantially far away from the center of it.
"Betchu you can't punch harder 'n me!"
"What are you doing?" hissed the brother behind him, eyeing the man with the floating red beads, wondering just what he was thinking, goading the strange adolescent.
Loner - 7/15/2017
Sem regarded the two boys with a significant amount of calm. "oh you survived." He greeted, sounding mildly curious, but not pressed to join them, though he began walking over. "trying to get out?" well that was the obvious thing a human ought to do when caught near a walking disaster waiting to happen.
The fence was clearly nice and secure. this wasn't the same spot they had entered at, but if sem wanted to be on the other side, it should be quite a simple matter. "I don't need to punch harder." He calmly answered, standing before the fence. If the boy tried to punch sem, chances were he'd end up breaking his hand that way, so sem had nothing to worry about there.
Using his hand like a knife, sem used the void to slice through the fence. No physical strength needed for this task. The displacement of matter did enough. Compared to the previous 'fireworks' this was truly a minor feat. Sem would have just portaled himself or vaulted over, or used an actual exit had ne not been showing off, just a little bit for the boy who thought to challenge and claim that sem couldn't punch harder. Sem rolled the cut portion of the fence back, leaving a clear way out for the three of them.
00 - 7/15/2017
Well, it wasn't exactly what the brother had in mind, but that worked too!
The sibling in hiding seemed to once more bristle like a cat at the display, while the other brother got a big grin on his face.
Either the guy could read minds too, or, uh...well, he wasn't sure what else!
Just to humor the teen, the child punched the fence with his fist.
It barely even rattled.
"Well, I guess you win," the boy said with a careless shrug, hopping out through the hole in the fence; his brother would quickly follow after him, fingers closing in on the edge of his sibling's shirt.
The punchy sibling (whose nose was notably turning bumpy and purple with a bruise from his previous falter) seemed unusually cheery compared to his previous manner; perhaps a little time at the fair had helped his mood.
The quiet brother began to mumble, turning his eyes on the man with white hair.
"Um...uh--y-you wouldn't happen to know where the other hole in the fence is?" he asked meekly, avoiding direct eye contact with the stranger.
"Our way back home is near there."
"Bro, I told you-- I can handle it," grumbled the other brother, trying to nudge him along in what he thought to be the right direction.
Loner - 7/15/2017
Sem smiled, but answered "nope. It's my first time to this place, so I'm not really sure my way around." He could get anwhere he wanted based on the portals so he didn't really care were things were actually located in comparison to one another. "Good luck getting home."
00 - 7/15/2017
"Oh...."
The brother looked disappointed, but there was nothing to be done about it.
He doubted his brother's abilities, but if they circled the perimeter for long enough, they were bound to find the hole, and, after that, the way home.
"Come on," urged his bruised brother, tugging the other one along.
He was in too much of a rush himself to really tease the teen any longer.
Shyly, the trailing twin offered a few parting words to the odd adolescent as they left him: "It was nice meeting you."
Loner - 7/15/2017
Sem waved before continuing on in a different direction. He listened just in case he might have been spoted by some anti-magical enforcer or anyone else.
Not like he was trying to hide from them. he hadn't even taken any sort of cover. He could hear the airborne beat of some sort of drone, but it didn't concern him.
XARXU - 7/16/2017
The only sound that might hint that something was amiss, was the dirt around Sem stirring, but 0.08 seconds later, a large, purple gauntleted fist was aiming a titanic punch for the back of Arm's back. The wind gale force from a punch of this magnitude would have blown an elephant away like it had been caught in a twister, but with Sem... Maybe it would at least catch his attention.
No words were uttered, Max meant business. He'd timed his offensive down to the last critical fraction of a second, and would now give Sem a taste of clashing with a professional, when there weren't civilians in the immediate vicinity.
At the same time as the punch was flung, another would be arriving at the same split second from the opposite side. Depending upon the degree of Sem's supernatural reflexes, he might have seen what seemed like two Max's appearing out of nowhere, and the collision occuring - unless somehow dodged - the same split instant they'd appeared.
Loner - 7/16/2017
Despite the power put into the blows, it threw sem no more than a regular punch, might harm a regular human. Max's fists might even sting a little considering the force behind them and the density of the person being hit.
It didn't take sem long to figure out what was going on. He portaled himself a short distance away, yellow eyes narrowed at the offender. "You're just begging for a fight aren't you?" He asked, knowing that if he really wanted to get away, he could warp far across the globe or even to another universe.
XARXU - 7/16/2017
"I came to talk, but you wanted to cause mischief. A waste really."
One of the Maximillions disappeared, but as Sem stepped out of the portal, he might notice another Maximillion behind him. While he sucked at much else, especially socializing, Max had a keen eye for patterns, even those people never noticed in themselves. However, the apparition waiting for Sem didn't attack, only smirking then disappearing in a wisp of violet residual energy.
"Seems a waste to have a universe of opportunity at your disposal, but to waste it on silly, childish games like this. You're not the only powerful being out there, nor likely the strongest, even if you were a billion times stronger than you seem; there's always stronger."
Max shrugged. "I was like that, in my adolescence. You may be as old or young as you look, or you may not be, but I know that I too squandered my gifts on petty amusements, only to regret having not done more, not done BETTER, to have achieved greater. Don't you ever think about being more than you are right now?"
Loner - 7/16/2017
Sem sighed. A formerly interesting man clearly held much capability to bore within his words and thoughts."Its because you opened your mouth that I did what I did. Might not have, had you not come badgering."He truthfully pointed out. He might have caused trouble in the end too, but he certainly had been less inclined to do so before Max had made the choice to start talking to him, asking him this and that.
"Are you one of those, types who thinks everyone's got some potential to be better in them?" he asked, chewing casualy on his thumb. "cause most of that type barbecue real easy in the end." he pointed out, refering to how many of this group of thought were easy to take advantage of. "I'm not programmed that way."
XARXU - 7/17/2017
"Oh, no, I'm not speaking morality. I know I cannot save everyone, and won't even try. To be honest, I try and avoid such displays, especially in Sanctuary."
Whether he meant 'save' as in rehabilitate, or 'save' as in rescue, may have been deliberately left open to interpretation, though both were applicable.
He folded his thick arms over his broad chest, more a means to get more comfortable and balance out his center of gravity, than any kind of legit communicative body language.
"What I mean is, imagination. What you did today, it was unimaginative. Seemed like you were passing the time, or finding a small way to amuse yourself. I'm not sure if you were, but if you were looking for a match against someone who could probably hold their own against someone like you..." He unfolded his arms long enough to tap his left hand against his right fist, the one that had collided with Sem, before folding them again. "... you didn't even pick the best place for that; I couldn't even let loose completely in my little spar with you, else the damage would have been far worse. This continent is rife with mundanity, wouldn't you prefer to interact with others like you, like me? Not identical, perhaps not even similar, but one hell of a lot more than the humans of Sanctuary. It's like a human child stomping on ants and anthills and being satisfied by it, at least in my eyes."
He tilted his head a little to the side, his curiousity peaking.
"I have no desire to change you, only to give a magnificent being a bigger playground, with far more fascinating playground equipment. May or may not be the best analogy, but I think you get my meaning."
Loner - 7/17/2017
Sem rolled his eyes. "Can I eat it? No? Than better to stomp on ants than be around beings who won't let me destroy anything." He couldn't imagined being around beings who were strong enough to resist him and keep him from following his natural inclinations as being much fun to be around.
XARXU - 7/17/2017
"There's a continent called Eokia, where there are beings who are both strong enough to make us both look like ants, and also certain spaces where a person can - if they feel so inclined - let loose their full power towards their ends. Has it never frustrated you that, when you have your 'fun', it's over quickly, and there was nobody to pose a challenge? As for eating.."
He'd meet beings who ate living flesh, rotten flesh, metal, fire, brains, and even stranger things he wouldn't say at the dinner table. He had no idea whether this young man met one of those things, or something as simple as fried chicken, but he went on anyways:
"There are all kinds of beings in this continent, made of Ice, or Fire, or Magma, or Metal, some made of Iron or covered in scales or feathers. There are beings gigantic and tiny and everywhere in between. Beings who are as mundane as the humans here, and cosmic beings who exude the kind of power that could make this plane tremble if they felt so inclined."
He then shrugged.
"It isn't that you're a kid with an empty ice cream cone who can't find ice cream. It's that you're searching the bottom of the sea with said empty cone, looking for ice cream, in a place where it doesn't exist. In this place I'm talking about, you would have EXACTLY that proverbial ice cream you're looking for."
Loner - 7/17/2017
Sem stretched his arms above his head, and began to walk away. "Been there, done that, probably a hundred times over." He'd lost track by now of how many realms he'd been to, and how many different types of beings he'd met, but messing with humankind was still a favorite. "I'll pop there today, tomorrow or maybe never. Same with any other place. Besides, i got my icecream today. See ya,"
Those drones in the sky had to be looking for him who knew how many other trackers were converging, honing in on the magical signature emitted by his beads. He could engage them of he wanted, but instead Sem decided it was time for him to leave. He wouldn't go to Eokia for the moment. Max had just drained all the fun out of paying such a visit, yet there were plenty of other places, other universes and realms. With so few destinations closed to him, it was easy to pick one at random. He opened up one of his portals and was gone, off to some other point in the vast multiverse, leaving Max alone to make his own retreat as he wished.
XARXU - 7/18/2017
Maximillion sighed. Sometimes, things went like this. If he himself could travel as freely and comfortable as Sem, he'd probably do a lot more wandering than he did. Milo Nirvana had helped him with the interplanar travel, and while Max did have miscellaneous tools and relics that could transport him across great distances, the closest things he had to devices that could travel between dimensions were fickle and required a very specific set of circumstances to activate, and most dimensions aside from his Home Plane did not or could not meet those circumstances.
He was weary. Yes, he had expended a lot of energy today, but he was also mind-weary; when he was mind-weary, no more fucks could be given, even if he wanted to. With a slump of his shoulders, he began the long, winding descent that would eventually lead him back down to ground level, and he would make his way to the first spot where he had phone reception so he could call a cab to take him home.
00 - 07/09/2017

Loner - 07/09/2017

Loner - 7/12/2017
