Sol was taken aback by the sudden turn of events. First the strange beast with a squealing voice coming out of the woods, then the... woman. "Shika." She wasn't a woman anymore, though. Now, she too was a beast, and one that towered over him. Her shadow was only offset by the soft glow he gave off. He tried to ignore it, despite her staring at him. Tried to.
He turned his "gaze" to the other being. "Your... companion was going to lead me to the Tribe of Ancient Stones. I don't believe that you can help me any more than she can," he "said". It seemed that his guide was... preoccupied at the moment, something else he was displeased with. He imagined that this sudden diversion would only serve to slow him down more.

Her younger friend did not seem as enthralled about the plush tiger as she was. Shika returned to her own draconic tiger ferret yokai form, and grew to what Tsubomi could only note to be whale sized, give or take some height. Tsubomi quickly noticed what the yellow creature was now aiming for, and wrapped the plush in both of her long tails, while trying to dodge Shika in order to protect her new treasure. "I'm naming it Shika-chan, after you, but you can't have it!" she declared with a growl, before leaping behind the strange glowing figure, as if he were somehow able to be a shield to protect her from the larger creature.
"You seek the Tribe of Ancient Stones?" Tsubomi echoed, keeping both of her red eyes on Shika as she spoke. "Look no further; I'm their leader. Name and business?" she continued on amiably, ready to use her small size and speed to her advantage if Shika attacked and tried to hurt 'Shika-chan', the plush, again.

Shika rolled her eyes. She reverted to speaking The standard language in order to be especially clear with tsubomi around. "You are being worse than Kanato. It doesn't become you." Though the guy had chosen to try and change his name, shika was gonna stick to the original. Tsubomi knew what she was talking about surely. That guy had been super possessive of teddy. Tsubomi acting similar was really annoying, especially with shika as a victim in a way, reduced to a poorly made doll which didn't really look like her, even if she'd chosen her tiger form. Shika wished she could pretend she didn't know tsubomi for a while.
Maintaining her aloof attitude, shika turned her back on the two of them. "That guy's really boring me, why don't you just deal with him." She spoke almost as if sol wasn't there listening in. He hasn't impressed shika, so she didn't really have a reason to treat him well. She was bored already too, not just of sol, but in general. Though she had no idea what she wanted to do, she was sure there was something more satisfying than this.

What a fool he had been.
This was the leader of the Tribe of the Ancient Stones? She was a child. In fact, they were both children. Shika's prior behavior suddenly made sense to him. Though she had manifested before as a young woman, she seemed little more than a child, and this friend of hers was clearly little different, judging by the fact that addressing her guest came second after arguing about a toy.
"I am Sol Invictus, the once-Unconquered Sun," he said. "I came to this land and searched for your tribe while looking for a way to break a curse put upon me long ago, by your standards of time, hoping you may have knowledge or even simple wisdom to impart, but I fear I will not find what I seek from the mouths of pups."

"Don't compare me to that moron," Tsubomi snapped, her tone growing slightly darker, and less chipper. She had grown to dislike the vampire, who had dared try to drink her blood once. She already had been on edge around him, and his actions back then had confirmed her suspicions. While he had done no real harm to bring any real trouble upon him, she still remained at unease when it came to the teddy-bear-obsessed boy.
Tsubomi turned her lavender-colored head to gaze at the bright figure, who began speaking. Shika claimed to have found him boring, though that was not rare, coming from the yellow yokai. Gently setting the tiger doll down on the ground, and praying it would not get too dirty, Tsubomi glared at Shika and warned her in a low tone. "Don't you dare hurt her."
After the threat had been delivered to her fellow tribe-member, Tsubomi began to quickly transform into her human shape, which was much smaller and not as threatening as her larger, mammalian dragon form. Dark hair dyed rough olive green, hazel eyes, and a lavender hoodie she had grown to love; she had nothing fabulous in the way of appearances in her human form, though little did she really care. The StoneTribe leader listened to the mysterious alien, at first intrigued, and later quickly annoyed. She frowned slightly, not happy to hear his opinions of them. "Name's Tsubomi Sartaq. Good to meet you, I guess, Sol... though honestly, can't a creature just enjoy cute things once in a while? Do the things I enjoy and like really make me any less 'wise'?" she asked in a calm, flat, and orderly manner, much like her typical self. "Anyways, if it has to do with a curse, you might want to talk to our Healer, Kim. She knows more about this sort of stuff than me and Shika do."

"then don't give me reason to." shika retorted. She'd gladly not compare tsubomi to anyone annoying like that. When Tsubomi did something dumb like run up to her with a doll, squealing in excitement there really was no other option. There were times to play, and had Tsubomi come to Shika at a more appropriate time, like when she was home, and when there were not any non-tribers around, Shika might have been in a better mood.
Sol's perception of them being like children was kind of true. The tribe had not dealt with outsiders in a very long time, so they were used to interacting mostly with each other. Outsider's often saw not the best, but the worst face of the tribe. Shika was rude to just about anyone including her tribe mates, but she was even more disrespectful of outsiders until convinced they mattered, a thing Sol had not managed to do. Most naturally, Shika was going to treat other things as more important than he was.
Since Tsubomi was dealing with such now, one of those things was here right now. That cursed doll, which Tsubomi had been waving around was left unguarded on the ground. Shika walked over, and looked at it for a moment, thinking. Tsubomi had warned her not to hurt it, but Tsubomi had firmly embarrassed Shika, so shika was gonna get payback. Shika picked up the doll gently. Compared to her 56 foot length,(how much of this was height depended on how she stood) it was a really small thing. Shika began methodically Tearing the doll. It tore easiest at the seems so most of it would be an easy fix for someone who knew how to sew. So, Tsubomi thought it looked like shika hmm? To really look like her tiger form, it needed some scars.

"Tsubomi, there is a difference between simple pleasures and juvenility," Sol said. "Wisdom only comes with experience. Experience only comes with time, and you behave like one who has only recently left the womb or egg. I have lived longer than even 'immortals' can fathom, yet I have never seen a child fit to lead anything other than children."
He held a hand out and motioned to Shika without turning his head in her direction. Her size was still making him uneasy, but it did not stop him from speaking. "Your own subordinate not only disobeys your orders and openly insults you, but you seem to treat this as normal. You argue over toys. I do not have to meet your healer to know that they will fill the same mold. No one else would tolerate the two of you alone."
With that, his body shrank and deformed, as if being sucked into itself. He became a floating orb that got smaller and smaller, until it not only became invisible to the naked eye, but disappeared from the plane of existence entirely.
