It required a password. M.Foster failed. The words on the note also failed. Not all the cards had numbers or figures to try.
After A set number of failed attempts the computer would automatically output a security breach protocol. It would be wise not to push things to far with the computer unless sure that the password was correct. Nearing the point where the alarm would be sent, there were a few options, things like making an educated guess and messing with the odds, or indeed trying to shock the panel instead. Failure of either would definitely bring the dangers here, so whatever choice Lucky chose to make, or to make a third option that may not have been thought of yet, ought to be chosen with care.

Lucky frowned at this and chose to look at what he thought was a door into the cage to see if he could somehow get that open so Shika could get out if she went into a form that could fly.

The door was not reachable from here. It didn't seem to lead into this room at all, but out into some other chamber. It was firmly sealed. Shika was watching him.
"how did you even get in here?" she asked unappreciatively. Considering the circumstances she still might happen to be slightly addled, perhaps not fully recognizing Lucky. [/font

Lucky turned to look at Shika and growled. "Hey! Be lucky that someone came in here to find you! Besides, I am good at sneaking into places. Unless you have ideas on how to get you free, be quiet and let me work." He snapped angrily at her, trying to find out how to free her.

The yokai slowly pulled herself up to her feet, exemplifying how little room she actually had in the cage as she filled the vertical space. "When someone comes in here there are always two peole in the room already." She noted as if that was any help. It probably wasn't. Momentarily she tried to stretch herself, cat-like, as far as the confines allowed. She pressed her nose to the bars, examining the double cage. Her form very slightly rippled for a moment. As she considered her options. Teleportation; something was jamming that her and it wasn't medicine. The drugs seemed to have reached an all time low, she could think. She could do some things, thought her body still felt as if parts of it were made of stone.
Focusing, there was little she could do but make an attempt at something.
Shifting was painful, like being torn apart. Yet if she used a sort of painkiller, of the ones available, it would have also suppressed her powers. The pain of it increased with the amount of deviation from her original size. She slowly forced herself to shift down. Her pace, and the tremors which coursed through her indicated the discomfort, but shika gritted her teeth and didn't complain.
The pain didn't leave when she stopped shifting because she couldn't handle much more, but it did dull slightly. Could she fit through the bars? It looked like she could. The problem was the outer cage, which was glass or something. The holes in that were even smaller.

Lucky heard and saw Shika. He tried to think if what she said would help out. "Not like I can get on the computer here or open the bars here. There is something that looks like a door up there." He said, pointing to it. Not that he could open it from his side. If only he could get the glass to open for Shika, then she could be one more step to being free. He began to think about it. "You think we can shatter the glass?" He asked.

Shika had an idea but it would be kind of dangerous for lucky. "Get some cover unless you want to end up a glass porcupine." She warned, knowing that if she could muster some power to break the thick sheet barrier, it would end up breaking towards lucky. Her idea probably wasn't the wisest though. Who knew what might happen once the glass actually broke.

Lucky frowned. "Well, unless you have the knowhow to get out of here and quickly, that would have to be a last resort. I can't seem to find the password for the computer over there, which would help us greatly." He said.

"Forget that. I'm pretty sure that light-box doesn't open the door." Shika noted, refraining from her idea about breaking the glass for the time being. She didn't think she should risk trying to go smaller than she was already to fit through one of the few inch diameter holes placed in the glass panel for air circulation.

Lucky frowned. "Then do you know if the door up there can be picked from either end, or how to get into the key reader over here to unlock it?" He asked, not wanting to alert people here that Shika was breaking free.

"I can't help you much there." shika answered truthfully. "the humans touch it somehow, but they don't seem to ever be using any tools." With this hint it could be deduced that the key was built into te humans who opened the lock somehow either like an embedded chip, or fingerprinting technology, or something along those lines. shika didn't know exactly it worked. they rarely opened the doors unless there were at least 2 people in here, and always someone else on the other side waiting to come in as well. since she'd often ended up more sedated than she was now, she guessed she should be content that she even remembered some details.

Lucky looked at Shika and tried to look around again. He was hopeful that he could find enough things to lift fingerprints somewhere and use that to try to fool the sensor.

The desk, the coffee cup, the Computer, with keyboard, the panel itself, a glove, the glass of the cage, and more. The number of items which could hold fingerprints was just about anything in the room. Lucky probably would not be able to check them all with time to spare.

Lucky decided to do the panel itself, figuring that it had the best chance of making this plan work. He got to work to try to lift anything off it.

There were prints alright, they were easily made visible with tape or glue, or another method.
