"Home is too far away for that. There's a distance limit." the now reasonably normal looking Shiba inu answered, though she found quite the difficulty getting rid of her antlers. Ever since they had grown in on her birth tiger form a while back, the only form she had which lacked them was her humanoid one, which was still too flashy for trying to escape now.

Lucky nodded his head. "I see. Well, if we know the direction home is, we can follow the streets to get back there." He said, knowing streets could run across an entire city in two directions.

There was a problem there. Home was actually across a sea. Eokia where the tribe was, and Sanctuary were separated by water.(this is world lore, not lore I just made now) Without the use of planes jumping, or rifts, it would be very hard to get back. Shika didn't really know this. She peered at the sky. she could not see many stars, but those she could see were all unfamiliar. "I don't know, but I feel like we should keep moving." She admitted, not liking to give away that she was at a loss here. It was late. Using powers took an unusual toll thanks to the drugs, so she was tired. Now that they were out of more Immediate danger, Shika was beginning to really feel the effects of her efforts.

Lucky sighed. "Of course, I got lucky and came here in a rift, so I don't know where we need to go to get back." He said, following her. Since he looked like a normal cat, he would be good at blending in.

Shika climbsd one of the dirt mounds in order to get over the barricaded area which marked off the construction from the rest of the city. It was a long way down, but an easier jump than trying to vault the divider directly. Lucky being smaller, probably would have no problem slipping through on foot.
Having landed in concrete, shika shook out her paws. Time to start walking, but where? The scents of the city were not unfamiliar. Shika adored going out and about in urban areas to crash parties or goof off or gather useful supplies, but she rarely ended up in such a big city as this. At least it was quiet. She didn't see anyone around, human nor beast. In deciding where to go, she chose the direction where the air smelled a little cleaner, hoping that they could at least get away from the filth of the city and rest for a while, even if she couldn't bet on getting home tonight.

Lucky had no issue keeping up with Shika, given that he could either jump or crawl over things that had gotten in his way. Once he met back up with her, he waited for an opening in the sky to look up at some stars. He knew a bit about these, and remembered a pattern of stars in the sky that always went the same was as their home. Upon seeing this, he smiled. "If we generally follow that constellation up there, it should take us back home on the right track." He said.

Shika glanced up. "If you say so." she conceded. She didn't recognize those stars after all She changed direction slightly and kept walking. Her pace kept slowing down since she was tired. Lucky would have no issues regarding keeping up.
It seemed to be endless buildings and concrete roads no matter how much one might walk. Occasionally there was a cultivated garden or hedge along the way, but it wasn't real wilderness. "think it will be ok to rest?" shika asked, convinced that they would not be getting home tonight.

Lucky kept up with Shika, looking all around him. He was looking out for any abandoned buildings or other such things in order for them to possibly rest at tonight. However, hunger and thirst was another issue he was trying to look out for. Once Shika asked him, he nodded his head. "All right. How about we rest up here?" He asked, pointing to a garden that had some ducks and water in it, as well as a shed they could hide out in if need be.

quess it was legal for people to own fowl here, that or the birds were more attracted to the water. Shika didn't care. Right now she was more tired than hungry. The canine flopped on the grass, not bothering to hide yet. To think that she'd end up so out of shape. "Finally." She sighed even though she had not complained about the treck until recently, so she had not been waiting impatiently for some place to rest.

Lucky walked beside her before he began to patrol around, making sure things were safe here. "Hopefully we can end up back home soon. They probably miss you by now." He said.

Shika managed a weak but amused smile. "Knowing our tribe, I wonder about that." she noted a a partial tease. Tribe members could be extremely edgy sometimes, for a situation where you could not always be sure that tribe mates cared. "we got here quickly somehow...we'll get back." she hoped.

"It's easy to move around here because of the streets, just like any other city. I know we'll get back, but a matter of when." Lucky said, still moving about.

Shika scoffed."Flying beats everything." she noted firmly. streets had a tendency to feel cramped, especially when she was at her proper size. Come morning, there would also be people and animals to avoid. Shika could enjoy the city most when she was not in a hurry, and confident of her safety. In the current situation there was far less freedom to enjoy it.

Lucky shrugged. "Well, we need some rest if we're to get back home as soon as possible." He said, lying down on the grass away from Shika.

"Yeah" shika agreed quietly, she was already ready to doze off. Time to sleep, and hope they'd stay safe enough here out in the open cause she definitely was too tired after all that excitement to try and keep watch.
