Lucky continued to hold onto Shika, not wanting to fall down. He looked below him at all the sights below. Even though they were passing by like a blur, it wasn't stopping him from enjoying it nonetheless.

Things appeared to move slower when seen from further away, so there was plenty to see. Finally shika noted. "I know this area." and began to descend some. Even from the ground she'd be able to find her way home from here. she began to look around in case there was any sign of tribe mates having been this way, especially as she flew closer to the oasis.

Lucky nodded his head when Shika spoke. "All right. I sort of remember this place too, which is good." He said to Shika as she began to get closer to the ground.

Shika landed near a pool of water. It was one of the only places in this hot dry land which made it possible for the plant and animal life here to thrive. They were definitely close to home now, but it was important to stop and rest a little while after all that flying. "We'll be back soon. We're close enough to walk even." Shika explained, breathing deeply of the heavy hot air. She was good at flying, but rarely had she flown this sort of distance in one go, and after being weakened by her captivity too. She'd push through the remaining distance soon, but a little rest, and a chance to get some water, would be great, especially after flying under the hot sun for so many hours.

Lucky saw and felt that Shika landed. When she did, he hopped off her. The desert heat and air was not doing his black coat any favors. Almost immediately, he began to pant a bit. "That is if I don't keel over from the heat." He joked as he went to get a drink of water.

"You haven't gotten used to it by now?" Shika asked. One would think that after havong lived in the dry lands for a while, it was something which could be adjusted to. Shika had her own issues with the heat of course, being large snd thick of fur, but the climate was something she couldn't change so she simply had to live with it. It had been a good idea pausing to a drink here. Swimming was tempting to, but there was a place for that back at the palace. She too was eager to see her way home. Rao should be waiting, and hopefully the rest of the tribe as well.

Tsubomi had been out on the search for a specific brown tanuki with rabbit ears- the first person, naturally, in the purple mythical's list of very important people. At the same time, she kept red eyes peeled for any sign of that banana-furred yokai she had also come to love, as one would a sister or family member. In this region of the desert, many miles away from the palace, the land seemed just as flat, with little water. Using her keen sense of smell and heat sensing, Tsubomi attempted to locate both water, and life, somewhere nearby in that overheated shrubland.
What she found were two familiar scents, nearby, and close to water. With long legs, and fluffy tails flowing behind her, Tsubomi began to sprint towards the area. A long smile grew on her face as the nostalgic shapes came into view-- the small form of Lucky, and the larger, bulkier form of Shika. Without a word, the 'leader' of the Tribe of Ancient Stones attempted to take a flying leap, powered by vast agility and the weaker ability to levitate. Her goal was to tackle-hug the tiger-ferret-deer-antlered dragon, and if she missed, to sweep around and try again. At the same time, she attempted to sweep up the black-furred cat in one of her abnormally long, prehensile tails, also in a tender hug. No words needed to be said, did they? At least for her, not yet.

A large white ferret rode the purple dragoness, clutching tightly to her long fur. With shika missing, Rao had stuck close to familar faces like Tsubomi's, though it was a bit baffling that the ferret being around with Shika not to be found had not set off more red flags, as to something being wrong. Rao had tried to communicate Shika's absence of course, but Rao didn't speak, so if no one understood the ferret it was no surprise.
But Tsubomi had found her. Rao rode tight, till Tsu got close enough for the ferret to jump off and burrow its way into the fur around shika's neck. It was Rao's usual spot to ride.
Shika narrowed her eyes, annoyed by Tsubomi's exuberance as she was embraced. yet Shika knew it was deserved. She'd been missing for how many days? it might be closer to a month or more at this point. Shika had not been able to keep track of time while captured. There was no daylight to judge things by in that underground facility.
"Let us go Tsu, its too hot for hugs, and I've been flying for hours." Shika eventually complained, not liking the extended contact, for more reasons than just being bothered with being embraced. Tsubomi ninjasoilder

Lucky sighed. "Doesn't make it easier with black fur to handle." He said as he was tempted to just jump into the water for a swim. However, before he could he heard something behind him. He quickly turned around and saw that Tsubomi had found them and was greeting them. He was on guard, but got caught up in one of her tails and hugged by it. He smiled and began to purr as he hugged her tail back. "Hi Tsubomi. Sorry that I forgot to tell you what I was up to. Though now you can see what I did." Lucky said, a lot of pride in his voice as he said it, knowing that without him, Shika might not have ever gotten out easily.

Shika shot Lucky a glare, annoyed by the fur griping. If lucky hadn't gotten used to it properly yet, well, maybe it was time to stop dwelling in this deserted land.
Shika's words however were on a totally different topic. "This cat. Somehow, Against all odds, Got me out of a cursed prison in a foreign land that's what he did." somehow Shika said this while sounding completely annoyed about that fact. She assumed that Tsubomi wouldn't have a clue what Lucky was talking about if she didn't spell it out more clearly. Tsubomi might not have even realized how far away Shika had ended up. Tsubomi Blair

Lucky growled at her. "Why do you have to be such a prissy brat about others helping you!? You do realize that had I not done that, you would still be down there, right? Why is it always so impossible for you to admit that I CAN do some things RIGHT!? Or is kindness a godly impossibility for you to comprehend!?" He shouted at her. This was a limit for him. He didn't think she would still have the nerve to whine about him after what he did. "Maybe you should've stayed there if you're so against me and others trying to be nice and try to help you for once!" He added.

Huh? Shika didn't get why Lucky had gotten so mad. She'd acknowledged what he'd done hadn't she? She didn't see herself as being prissy or mean, or unthankful, even if others thought that she had sounded that way. Besides there were lots of things she thought Lucky did proficiently, even if she often spoke critically of him.
Without changing forms,the yokai shrunk drastically, until she wasn't much bigger than her canine form, and Rao could be easily seen gripping her shoulder. Shika dropped to the ground, as she became smaller than Tsubomi, and able to slip out of the other's embrace. "Look I admitted what you did so relax." She answered flicking water at him with her tail. "If I'm grateful or pleased I have my own ways of showing it. Like perhaps explaining some things so Tsubomi actually knows what you did. Its not like she bothered to find me. is it tsu?" She might have been annoyed at him, but it wasn't about him having rescued her. It was the lack of decent explaination of the event, and the fact she doubted the rest of the clan had even tried to look for her.
Sometimes shika acted mean to others out of spite. Other times it was actually out of affection, or the belief that some person could be better than he showed himself to be. There were times that even the people she held in the highest regard might receive a cold shoulder or sharp word. If the difference was hard to see qand made that person think that she hated him instead, she saw that as not her problem.

Lucky only let out a sigh. It seemed like rescuing her from a life of experimentation and captivity would not earn him any respect, which irritated him. He was still thinking that he should not have bothered to rescue her if he knew this was the outcome of it.

Whatever Lucky thought of her, the Yokai didn't really care at this point.
Well actually she did care. Some of her bratty way of expressing herself much of the time came first from real insecurity, and later out of habit. What others thought of her actually did matter.
But for now she was mostly just weary. Lucky probably was to, so for the moment she didn't care. Keeping up some relationship was not high on her list of things to do.
Slowly shika regained size, but she didn't make herself as large as she had been before. "Lets just go home... We could use a proper meal and some sleep." Shika suggested, turning to orient herself to the direction of the palace.

Tsubomi was about to grant the yellow yokai's wish of being released from the embrace, when she spoke pleasingly about the cat... well, pleasingly in a Shika sort of way. The purple mythical knew that the tiger-like beast was not the most affectionate being, and had even threatened to kill Tsubomi if she died and magically returned again. However, she felt she understood Shika well enough, and that the tribe had a good bond.
As such, that was why she had been out and about searching for her missing tribemates. "Knock it off," the dragon sighed in response to Lucky's outburst, giving him a slight squeeze with her fluffy tail as she released Shika. "I'm just happy to see you both back and safe," she admitted, looking away slightly, still not fond of mushy behavior. "I was out searching for you and Kimmy... just where was this prison?" Is Kimmy there too?"
